my 3 year old is into Grease. weve been watching it on repeat everyday for the last 3 months. i enjoyed it the first few times...now i hate it more than anything.

I have more fun watching the sequel, actually. It's paradoxical tone is very much the leading drive, and the music plays off of that cheese very well I feel.

I watched Grease for the first time last summer and was stunned by how bad it is. Like, "Is this some massive inside joke?" bad.

im gonna have to make a proper Grease 2 appreciation thread one of these days

but not today, I'm too busy being lazy when i should be working

Man, that's so weird. The girlfriend and I are watching it right now. We wanted to watch a musical, but there weren't any we wanted to watch on Netflix, so we picked one she hated instead.

It's better than I remember.

The music in Grease 2 is some amazing cheesy greatness. Except "Charades" which might be the worst song ever written.

But "Turn Back The Hands of Time"? Where Stephanie sings a duet with a ghost/figment of her imagination...in front of a room full of people? Perfection.

Grease 2 is life.

I'll be there.

Johnny Nogerelli, three different double entendre songs, and a phantom duet, what's not to love?

Def something with great pacing and a somewhat light hearted tone. B horror ofc is great for that, also stuff like Boogie Nights, can watch that a ton of times and not tire of it. Same with Fear and Loathing. Road movies in general scratch that itch, Natural Born Killers being one. Maybe not "fun" in the conventional sense but still a great watch with nary a dull moment. Fight Club being another, and recently for me this gem:

I'll throw Pulp Fiction and Groundhog Day in there as well.

By Crom the answer is Conan the Barbarian

Also if we're talking the most fun movie musicals its Little Shop of Horrors by a mile.

Love Grease so much and definitely always have fun watching it. Grease 2 is even more fun to watch.
