Is Grease the "funnest" movie of all time?

There are like a thousand other movies more fun than Grease.

I'd imagine it's the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have a coworker that attended screenings every day for multiple years at a local theater when she was younger.

You ever watched Grease drunk off your ass? Its like being allowed into an age old inside joke. But you come put the tunnel with a different sense of humor than your significant other cause FUCK LIFE.

Grease sucks.

Every character is an enormous piece of shit, or becomes one.

Yes, I'm that grouch.

You're the one that I want

Ooh ooh oooooh

I remember having to withstand my cousin amd sister finding a Grease Vinyl in the 2000's. Hate, the word hate doesnt encompass my emotional state.

Fun fact: I grew up 3 doors down from the guy who co-wrote Grease. I don't really remember him because he moved away when I was still pretty young, but my dad says he was a really odd dude. Nice though.

Bill & Ted 1/2, Airplane and above all else Space Balls. Space Balls was such a fantastic movie and I never tire from watching it.

The Fifth Element is easily my funnest movie. Blues Brothers is up there.

What's not fun about a movie that teaches young women that they should change who they are to get a man?

But don't they both end up changing to get with the person they want to be? That and everyone grows up a little.

As a musical fan that admittedly knows most of songs in Grease by heart, it's a little bit overrated in my opinion.

I'm up for Back to the Future, The Blues Brothers, Little Shop of Horrors and my "curve ball" choice, Kung POW(
No one will agree with this dumb as hell movie.
) just take Steve Oedekerk out of it.

Edit: My list needs more Mel Brooks.

The total failure of the theatrical release of Grease 2 is one of the small victories in this Universe.

I can still vividly remember passing the local cinema back in '82 looking at the poster, nobody I know went to see that movie. It must be a textbook on how not to do a sequel.

I think even Staying Alive did better business and that's a musical sequel directed by Sly Stallone!!!! A guilty pleasure of mine!!!!

In the UK growing up at the time, I always felt you were either a Star Wars kid or a Grease kid. Grease kids were cooler.

The film was a U certificate in the UK, meaning for General Audience. That film is loaded with so many innuendos and sexual references. It is a good insight into how out of touch the members of the BBFC were. "You know that ain't no shit, we'll be getting lots of tit". "You know that I ain't bragging, she's a real pussy wagon".

Grease is essentially the grandfather to High School Musical and Glee.

Star Wars led to the PREQUELS.

Choose your poison.

Just went to IMBD, 77 quotes, made me smile.

Frenchy: Men are rats, listen to me, they're fleas on rats, worse than that, they're amoebas on fleas on rats. I mean, they're too low for even the dogs to bite. The only man a girl can depend on is her daddy.
-Still sound advice I give my 15 year old daughter.

Sandy: My parents want to invite you over for tea on Sunday.
Danny: I don't like tea.
Sandy: [laughing] You don't have to drink tea.
Danny: I don't like parents.
-Again sound advice

Kenickie: My 25-cent insurance policy.
Rizzo: Big spender!
[Kenickie opens the condom packet, is shocked as he finds it broken]
Rizzo: What?
Kenickie: It broke!
Rizzo: How could it break?
Kenickie: I bought it when I was in the seventh grade.
-More sound advice for my Son and Daughter this time.

Rizzo: Where are you goin'? To flog your log?
Danny: Much better than hanging around here with you dorks.
-hanging around with dorks or flogging logs, you decide.

Danny: Well you know, these girls are only good for one thing.
Sonny: Yeah, what are you suppose to do with them the rest of the 23 hours and 45 minutes of the day?
Putzie: [With a serious but confused face] Is that all it takes 15 minutes?
[the guys slap him on the head]
-As 10 year olds me and my friends took this to be a fact.

Danny: You know, if we fix up this car, it could be make-out city, you know that.
Sonny: Right, the chick is gonna have to put out before she even gets in.
-This film is obsessed with getting laid.

Yeah Guardians is a good one for me. Everything from the dialogue to the tone of Starlord to the soundtrack.

Some good choices here that wouldn't have come to mind though are good now that I think about it....Airplane, Ferris Bueller's, Step Brothers.

Also I don't like Greese but I can't really enjoy any musicals, for some reason people breaking out in song just inherently annoys me. Detaching it from the music it's alright but really cliched, though also iconic.

I'll agree that Grease is a really fun movie. But after much pondering, I think the most fun movie to me is probably this one:

Starship Trooper
Ooh. Damn. This is a good one too.

As a musical fan that admittedly knows most of songs in Grease by heart, it's a little bit overrated in my opinion.

I'm up for Back to the Future, The Blues Brothers, Little Shop of Horrors and my "curve ball" choice, Kung POW(

Ah shit. Kung Pow is a good choice too. Such a great film.

But don't they both end up changing to get with the person they want to be? That and everyone grows up a little.

No, Olivia Newton John completely reinvents herself for John Travolta.

Yeah Guardians is a good one for me. Everything from the dialogue to the tone of Starlord to the soundtrack.

Gaurdians is a mediocre movie with serious pacing issues. I was bored!

Most fun movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail, guyz.

Summer loving...

Memories. I grew up watching greese too but it is not one if the funniest movie out there. It's just a fun happy classic.

One of the funniest was Budsy Malone. I ASKED MY MOTHER TO GET ME ONE OF THOSE CARS BUT I NEVER RECEIVED IT! Yes. 30yrs later and i still feel bummed about it.

"True Lies" is the funnest movie. It got every thing: action, comedy, Arnie kicking ass, J.L. Curtis stripping, Bill Paxton, Tia Carrere!! and even Tom Arnold being actually funny. It is the best.

Ok, agree with Blue Brothers, Big Trouble in Lil China. Oceans 11.

Ferris Buellers Day Off.

Mine might be 40 Y.O. Virgin.
