When I first heard David Ayer was directing Suicide Squad, I thought they'd actually be going in that angle being that the team is usually sent off by the government to do black ops missions. It seemed like a perfect fit.
Shame the end result was something completely different and worse because of it.

Seriously though I can't see Gibson going anywhere near a super hero flick unless he had full and total control and even then I don't know if he'd do it. He has a pretty strong vision for his movies and I can't seem him trying to fit into a larger cinematic universe. He's been pretty blunt on is dislike for the latest set of super hero films but then again you never know if someone puts a big enough check in front of you.
