He also beat his girlfriend and told her she deserves it.
Yes. This always gets forgotten for some reason.

No but since you want to go that route, do you have any studies linking racist outbursts to alcoholism? Are you around them 24/7 by any chance to attest to that?
First, he's chairman of Marvel, not CEO. It's fun because he insists on the title CEO. Second, Marvel Studios now operates outside of his control, thanks to Feige. He went above Pearlmutter and got direct control of the Studios under Disney.First, how is the CEO of Marvel has "nothing to do with the Marvel movies" anymore? You don't think he benefit directly from the success of Marvel movies? The guy that leads the entire company? Or am I missing something here?
If they never apologized for it, I absolutely wouldn't.
Did my friend call someone a nigger? Did they say they hope someone gets raped? Did they say any other fuck shit?
They on they own
Friends ain't to help you when you severely fuck up, they to call you on ya shit
I am literally talking about the ones I have dealt with
Alcohol doesn't make you a fucking racist

On topic: Fuck Mel Gibson.
That's understandable. I just don't know if it's fair to call him racist when people that know him far better than we do (Whoopi, Stallone, Glover) have expressed otherwise.

Second, that is a weak excuse. If you find that you can't support Gibson due to your moral standing, which is fine, then of course it is comparable, since it is a moral issue whether you support someone--whether directly or indirectly--that support Donald Trump. Moreover, the act of supporting Donald Trump, especially with the kind of money a CEO of a wealthy company has, is arguably--heck, I would even say inarguably--much more damaging than a guy saying racist slurs in a private encounter. Not even remotely? Yeah, right.
For someone who sure isn't defending a racist, you sure are doing a lot of hypotheticals to support what he did and that he got away with it.
Since we're check off all the points for shit that he shouldn't be held accountable for because he was in a bad place, what do you want to do with the beating and threatening his girlfriend box?
He had multiple incidents in his life where he was said some fuck shitWhere have I supported him? All I presented was that maybe this one incident, which is an outlier form him doesn't reflect who he actually is. All I'm saying is that maybe he's changed. I'm not trying to defend is actions.
Time for a live action Batman and Batgirl like in The Killing Joke.Well all things being fair game I want Roman Polanski to direct Batman then.

Alcohol doesn't make you say shit that you aren't already processing. It's not mind control juice for fucks sake.

Sorry, that's nonsense.
First of all, we can't head down this path of "fuck every company who happens to have A Trump supporter near the top." The majority of large companies would fall under that umbrella.
Perlmutter is a bad guy. He was pushed out of Marvel Studios because of that, while a large number of Marvel Studios actors and producers are known to be far more liberal. So no, I'm not going to not support a movie because a damn Trump supporter might benefit from it financially.
Second, I'm sorry but Mel Gibson directing a movie is a direct link between him and that movie. A CEO at the parent company of a production studio who isn't actually involved in said production studio -- who was pushed out BECAUSE he's a bad guy and the other people involved aren't bad guys? That's not the same thing and you know it.
In closing: no, voting for Trump is in absolutely no way the same thing as threatening a woman, calling black men "n******," and wishing rape on someone. So no, I wouldn't feel anywhere remotely as awful seeing a movie because a Trump supporter happens to work at the company and might gain from it financially than I would seeing a movie directed by a known racist and abuser.
I didn't say he shouldn't be held accountable. He's already been held accountable. He was shunned from his industry for almost a decade. What other forms of justice do you want done to him?
Well, if that would make you feel better, I am not stopping you, go you.

No idea if he gets any money, but he's still far removed from the production. So clear this up for me: the money that Marvel gets from the movies, none of it goes to him as the CEO--or chairman, even though every mention on him in Google said that he's Marvel's CEO--then?
I didn't say alcohol makes you racist. I'm saying it makes you say things out of character that don't reflect who you actually are. especially if you're trying to hurt someone on a personal level.
Yes but who cares? The nature of his job is that he wants people who don't know him to give him money for his work. So if he is defined by something he said which has been made a matter of public record, it is his responsibility to set it straight. If not, then people will continue to judge him for it and he has to just deal with it.
No idea if he gets any money, but he's still far removed from the production.
Also,
If he actually apologized in public, would it make a difference?
If he actually apologized in public, would it make a difference? If this thready is any indication of the publics view, an apology would probably fall on deaf ears. He would just be accused of saving face.
It doesn't make me "feel better." It simply isn't the same thing.
Mel Gibson beat a woman.
He got $590 million worth of Disney shares from the Marvel acquisition. So sadly, even though he turned down a seat on their board and does not have any role in production of Marvel Studios films, we should still be aware that he definitely profits from any success Disney has. That's just business unfortunately. .
Fucking apologize holy shit
If he actually apologized in public, would it make a difference?
Are you around them 24/7 by any chance to attest to that?
Would it really make a difference to you, because I highly doubt it. You seem to have your mind made up on him as a person. Which is fine, because I understand the things he's said is unforgivable for some. Me personally, I just don't get the impression that he's a horrible human being. Maybe I should.

Absolutely.

I doubt it. The incident was too long ago and I doubt many people even remember what he said.
He's somehow able to use his anecdotal stories to prove that non-racists say racist shit while drunk but no one else is allowed to say the opposite without having to be around people 24/7.LMAO..Love it!
Eh, an apology from Mel Gibson is useless tbh. People already know what's up, you're either ok with supporting a racist piece of shit's work or you're not.
Are you his dad or something? Lmao.
That's understandable. I just don't know if it's fair to call him racist when people that know him far better than we do (Whoopi, Stallone, Glover) have expressed otherwise.
"You look like a f*king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of ni**ers it will be your fault."
- Mel Gibson

And yet folks still wanna fucking cape for this dude!"You look like a f*king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of ni**ers it will be your fault."
- Mel Gibson
Yep, right on the fucking money.I'd be fine with people supporting a racist piece of shit's work if they were fine admitting that's what they're doing. Here you only see spinning of how actually maybe possibly we are the racist ones because we are haranguing the white man that hasn't apologized in 7 years for being awful and being fine with being awful
As for the useless apology thing, as bad as waiting 7 years to apologize for something is, it's a start. If he had any remorse or sense of what he did was wrong, it'd be a step forward. His sympathizers here want me thinking he's changed? Not till he takes a step forward.
People make mistakes. His silence is a deafening reminder he doesn't think he's made one.

just words bro
