And how high is high?

Good lighting and a clear picture is more important than resolution. Pictures that are blurry or have your face cut off is pretty much useless. For me, at least.

Resolution doesn't matter, as long as it's at least 600x600 or so. If you want to post a 4k photo, go for it. But put it in quote tags if you do that.

That one's borderline. For me I think there's enough to work with. But I can't speak for everyone.

Cool Guy Sami and Taco_Human have good and interesting photos, for example.

Pretty much everything heavy liquid said. I prefer larger images so that I can see details, but clarity and good lighting are very important. If it's a struggle to work out what you're trying to draw, it's not fun.
