Is the demo on Steam? Recommended or required specs?
If Nier sold 700-800k I'm pretty sure we'd be on our third Nier game by now. I don't think it sold that well. Hell, I got doubts Automata's going to sell that well.

Huh wat. Didn't expect that at all. Wonder if I should play it in 1440p on PC or in 1080p on PS4 Pro but with Trophies. I think I'll go for the PS4 version.

Seems like that wasn't true then, unless there is an unannounced Xbox One version waiting in the wings and they paid for timed exclusive over that and that's why Square / Platinum haven't talked about it on Xbox One.
Sony don't really see PC as direct competition, like they do with Xbox, so they don't really need to moneyhat against a PC version, as the PS4 version will likely sell a ton more than on PC anyway.

i want to but im not celebrating just yet, for one they spoke on the delay just a day ago with no hint of it being this insignificant , two , why is the pc version aligning with the eu release and just in one trailer?
i mean why would the pc delay even be brought up if it was releasing at the same time as the console version in a region?

Not really sure why they would say that on the trailer if it was delayed when the release is scheduled for less than 3 weeks from now.
Sony is paying Square Enix so they can look stupid.
I'd do the same if I had a bunch of money.
To force ps4 pre orders.
Many players are having both a PC and ps4 and would rather get a cheaper and better performing PC version.
Well that press release + the fact that their official channel does not have the steam logo is intriguing to say the least.

Something must be up if there is two versions of the trailer and all SE channels post the one without steam release date and then they don't mention steam release date in their press release.

Either they want their product to fail or Sony paid for more and/or exclusive visibility for the PS4 on Square Enix's social media channels, and that payment was enough to offset the lost sales of less savvy/enthusiastic PC gamers that won't know that it came out because they're not actively following gaming news or posting on places like NeoGAF.
If it's the latter case, where Sony basically gave them a check to have it so PC gamers propel the news without SE having to put in marketing outside of a trailer variant sent to enthusiast press outlets such as Gematsu, then I might have even made the same decision. Why turn down money/free press from a platform holder while the other platform's rabid fanbase will do the marketing work for you?

I wouldn't be surprised if they still missed the date honestly.
My post was in reference to the conspiracy theories in that thread. It was impossible to get people to perhaps realise it was a Square Enix problem, and perhaps the port wasn't ready. Instead everyone wants blood, and the game was being kept back because 'money'. I detest these deals, but it's well documented by Sony whenever there is a Timed exclusivity deal in place.
