New Super Bomberman R footage - appears 60 fps?

I think it's the framerate of the video like someone said above, but the performance looks super consistent and the impressions from the video are great.

No idea if it's 30 fps or 60 from that video, but I think it looks great. All the negativity surrounding the game's visuals and performance seems unwarranted to me.

Also watched some Japanese battle footage (not the one in the previous thread) that looked pretty fast/smooth to me, so I was confused when people complained about performance.

Definitely still looks 30fps to me, seems like the camera quality is just making it look weird and ghosty.

Lack of content for the price is my biggest issue.

Sizable single player with bosses, tons of multiplayer variety and options. The core bomberman gameplay hasn't been matched by anything since the series took a nap. Lots of ways to use the Switch controller meaning Local Multiplayer and Coop right out of the box.

The only issue I see with this title is the graphical fidelity (and 30 FPS if that's kept) but everything else looks fantastic.

It is indeed irrational, the game looks great and a lot of the people hating on it probably never had any intention of playing it.

I can post 60 consecutive frame grabs which all have the same time stamp and different character positions at each new frame if people really can't tell the difference. Not sure I want to spend the effort to do this though.

Story mode with 50 stages and bosses. This mode allows for cooperative play for 2 players.

Battle mode for maximum of 8 players, local connection battles, and online battles

Jesus, how much content do people want for $50? Street Fighter V launched with less than half of this content at full price. Do they expect it to be open world or something? I think almost all games are priced fairly. I have yet to encounter a game where I felt ripped off.

Look at youtube quality.

It shows 1080p60fps.

Which means everything in the video is 60.

That's not how it works. It's offscreen video. The framerate of the camera wouldn't change the framerate of the game on the display. It's difficult to tell from watching but it doesn't look like a performance disaster like many were saying.

Are you saying this would prove that it's 60 (because that's what you think it is) or that we'd find out if it was 60 or 30?

If there are 60 distinct images from the same second of gameplay footage then that means that the game is 60 frames per second.

You can play youtube videos frame by frame by pausing them and pressing the period or comma keys to go forwards or backwards one frame. Hopefully this is enough to convince people.

He's saying it's 60 I think.

Either way, this looks better than I thought. It was off my radar because of the loading and shit, but if that's fixed, it's a day 1.

Ohh okay. Just wanted to see if you thought it was 60 or genuinely didn't know. Thanks for clarifying! 60 is great!

The camera panning around the battlefield is such a horrible aesthetic. I don't understand why the devs would think that was a good idea besides making it "look cool". It's not conducive to the game play at all.

If the battlefields were actually BIGGER than the standard bomberman and the need to zoom in and out was apparent I'd have no problem with it. But its so distracting and unnecessary.

Really aside from performance, (which is seemingly addressed at this point, my only beef with the game's visuals is the explosion effects.

I was buying the game regardless before this, but this just makes it even better.

Is this confirmed to be the first online multiplayer Switch game to be released in the U.S. ?

If I'm not mistaken Puyo Puyo Tetris is a Japan launch title and will be online multiplayer as well ?
