lol
I don't blame people for not seeing it, but that's 30 fps.
Yeah, on second thought it could be.
idk now

Video is not 60.
If it isn't 60 I'd almost rather just play Saturn Bomberman or Bomberman '94. They are both 60.
But can you play those on the go with online support amongst 8 different players?
I understand 60 FPS being the ideal, but it being the factor that loses a sale for this game seems weird to me.

clearly it's happening because there's hype my man...
It's a Unity Engine game, though that doesn't necessarily preclude it hitting 60FPS.Its a bomberman game. In 2017. How is possible to not have 60 fps? What resource is stealing that possibility?

60 fps doesn't completely remove ghosting fyi...
Totally off topic, but that guy used to be my boss. He was making pretty good money where he was at and one day noped his way outta there to cover Nintendo on YT full time.
He's made it to a GAF thread, if that's not success, I don't know what is.
On topic, I don't understand why the game is being scrutinized so hard, it's not really the type to have huge benefits from being 60 FPS. I'm a graphics whore sometimes, but this is not one of those times.
Why is the camera always moving in Bomberman ? That's awful.

Game is still a day one purchase fuck you if you abandon Bomberman
Why are the players struggling so much to make right angle turns? Is it the game itself, analogue sticks being rubbish for this sort of game or the people playing it being bad?

If they can't top a PS3 game that cost 10 euros, then everyone needs to abandon Bomberman.
Seems like the 60fps feeling comes from the video itself, not the game.
That's 60fps.
The definitive answer is right there in front of your eyes.
I'm not expecting the best game in the series but I'm always down for more Bomberman games.

I saw the title 3 days ago at a Switch event, and it was technically embarassing. I don't mind N64 graphics, I dare to say I even like them with their vintage flavour, but the frame rate was depressing. Looked more like 20fps to me...
does this have online multiplayer or vs cpu?
Yes to both AFAIK. 8 players total.
It comes from the fact that the TV in the video is interpolating the game from 30 fps to 60. The effect is difficult to notice in Bomberman because the position of most of the moving elements only changes slightly with each frame update. The way that frame interpolation works, on the interpolated frame, each moving element will be visible at the positions of both the previous frame and the following frame (but blurred). If the element does not overlap itself at these two positions, the ghosting effect becomes evident and the smoothing effect of the interpolation is lost. However, if the element DOES overlap itself, the two distinct element positions will blur together to give the impression of a completely unique element on the interpolated frame. The only moving elements in Bomberman which move fast enough for the ghosting effect to be noticeable are the thrown bombs as well as some HUD text elements that pop up at the start or end of the match. This is why Bomberman looks like it is running at 60 fps when it's not.
The camera panning around the battlefield is such a horrible aesthetic. I don't understand why the devs would think that was a good idea besides making it "look cool". It's not conducive to the game play at all.
If the battlefields were actually BIGGER than the standard bomberman and the need to zoom in and out was apparent I'd have no problem with it. But its so distracting and unnecessary.
Speaking only for myself: the battle mode is the meat of Bomberman, and the last time I bought one was a pretty full-featured battle mode game (10 stages, up to 8 players) on WiiWare for $10. Coming from that, quintuple the price seems like a lot regardless of how much they add in what I'd consider secondary modes.Jesus, how much content do people want for $50? Street Fighter V launched with less than half of this content at full price. Do they expect it to be open world or something? I think almost all games are priced fairly. I have yet to encounter a game where I felt ripped off.
Probably the "stop messing with that, get back to work on pachinko" factor. Its a bomberman game. In 2017. How is possible to not have 60 fps? What resource is stealing that possibility?
