Zelda seemed alive in the ending cutscenes, unless the cutscenes linked earlier in the thread were flashbacks from before? She seemed quite happy, so I'm guessing she's alive - but if she's not, I'm here for a M. Night Shyamalan meets Zelda ending.

Well, think about it...all of the other leaders/pilots are dead (as are probably most if not all of the people in the world), you are just interacting with their spirits. Impa is like a bajillion years old, AND how would Zelda have survived the 100 year time span between when Calamity Ganon takes over and when the game begins?

I'd assumed the triforce/Skyward Sword-sequel sleep/stasis kept her going. I do have to assume it was the final cutscene linked earlier,
considering the lack of Ganon, peaceful Hyrule and castle, Link and Zelda with horses, and happy Zelda with an epic ending sweeping camera pan
. I'm a horrible person, though, I'd loooooove some dead Zelda angst. It would be very bittersweet.

I don't know if it breaks specifically or needs to be repaired, but you can upgrade it/combine it with another weapon to make it unbreakable in general.
 
Perhaps you get to use the Master Sword of Ressurection but only for one champion/Zelda. Whoever you choose to revive can then be invited to come to Frontier Village in the post-game state.

Does anyone know if we turn off voices in this game? I really don't like the voice acting in the game... I want that classic no voice feel.

Can we talk about how much personality they've given Link in this?

This is the most emotive/expressive he's ever been AND he talks! No VA, but he's having full conversations with NPCs and they do well to paint his character. He's got the cocky/haughty young knight air about him.

And that stance/posture during dialogue lol.
 
damn, welp, this Zelda is kind of ruined for me then... I loved everything, but the voice acting ACTUALLY ruins the atmosphere. I don't know what it is, but it sounds bad, and it doesn't really work with the narrative imo
What it is is bad acting because Nintendo didn't feel the need to get something better than standard anime VA quality. :|

Shame he just stands around with a blank face so much in cutscenes tho while people are clearly talking. Gameplay animation is very expressive.

Instead of opting for contextual animations which would limit the types of geometry that is climbable they created an agnostic climbing animation so that literally nearly EVERYTHING can be flagged as climbable geometry. It's kinda a pick your poison situation, but hey at least they added contextual animations for ledges and whatnot.

There's supposed to be a lot of detail in this right? I just find it oddly lazy.

With geometry as varied as the stuff in BOTW it would be either incredibly difficult or an incredibly bad idea to try to create as much animation as possible solely dedicated to climbing, then they'd have to do it like in Horizon or Uncharted where you have clearly marked ledges but beautiful animation, since something like AC's system doesn't work with this type of geometry. Hell i'm just glad they pretty much built all of the animation from scratch, Skyward Sword still had the same Link walk cycle as Twilight Princess for some reason.
 
off topic. kind of. But i hate sprinting stamina. It's makes no sense. You can potentially fight forever but running tires you out? FFXV does the same thing.

Its an acceptable break from reality. its not all that different from WW link being able to pick up and use heavy weapons with difficultly while paradoxically being able to pitch it across the room like a toothpick. I can see why it would bother someone if they wanted more realism but in my honest to goodness opinion Zelda never was supposed to be entirely realistic. it'd take the fun and style out of it. Maybe that dlc hard mode will make fighting tale up stamina?

I agree and I think the icon looks ugly and distracting right in the centre of the screen seeing as it's constantly there. Put it under the hearts or something geez...
 
I'm happy Urubosa's voice acting is decent. Most of the voice acting isn't really too bad except for Impa's and Mipha's, ugh.

Aw Zelda's voice acting is actually sort of cute, thank goodness.
 
FOUND UMii Village! It's Tarrey Town, definitely not looking like a DLC area. It's located southeast of Death Mountain and North of Hateno Village.

Perhaps you can settle here in the post-game. And then when your present-day Gerudo/Zora/Rito/Goron friends visit, they get their own Tarry Town variations.

Also, found this on 4chan (literally just searched the UMiiVillage Marry line on google), but obviously take with a grain of salt:

The Deku Tree and the King want to do a cerimony to induct Link into the "royal family". Basically a marriage.
