Does Capcom even make any money off these movies besides whatever they were paid way back when the film rights were first bought from them?

Why is RE so insanely popular in China?

who fuckin' knows
it might be the worst movie of all time
How the hell was the Fences budget $24 million?

Effects driven and 3D is an easy sell a lot of the time.

So Moonlight won best picture. I wonder if we will see another expansion for it. That might also cut La La Land's legs a bit (though it did win 6 awards).
They should make a RE that goes between Retribution and Final Chapter.
Reflecting on the last 20 years, no film alone was the best reviewed and highest grossing film in addition to being named Best Picture at the Oscars. However, multiple films did check off two out of those three possible honors. Films that were both Best Picture and the best reviewed movies are Moonlight and Argo. Titanic and Return of the King were both named Best Picture and the highest grossing movies of their respective years. And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 and Toy Story 3 were both the best reviewed films of their years as well as the highest grossing.
The metacritic user score is that low, it's about racism, so that's how it goes.
Get Out wkd actual: $33.4M
Batshit crazy. The question isn't if it makes $100M now, but how far it goes above the mark.
Live by Night increased close to 925% from last weekend, making a whopping $21.3k
Yup, can't trust things like imdb ratings for any film.
It's like the ninth film in the franchise. It's not going to be able to get new viewers without them having to watch like eight films beforehand or something similar. I'm not even going to see it theatres because it's just too much money to rent them all so my gf can catch up.Deadline is saying $65M domestic and $105M overseas for Logan this weekend. Seems to be on the low side to me, but we shall see.
I wouldn't be surprised by anything between 70 and 100 for Logan. It should do noticeably better than The Wolverine, but I don't have a good bead on whether the reviews plus Jackman's final time as the character will push it over the top.Deadline is saying $65M domestic and $105M overseas for Logan this weekend. Than I have no idea what is wrong with them. If they aren't invested in the characters than what is the point of them seeing the film. This gets overblown all the time. Plenty of moviegoers don't feel a compulsion to watch everything ever released in these sorts of franchises before seeing a particular film that interests them.
Logan is standalone. I'm taking my family to see it at IMAX even though I know they know nothing about Xmen because of all the reviews saying it's not about Easter eggs or continuity but really good storytelling. There isn't even a sequel bait ending or post credits scene. It's like the ninth film in the franchise. You've never watched a franchise film without seeing all the previous entries? That sounds like some completionist obsessionThan I have no idea what is wrong with them. If they aren't invested in the characters than what is the point of them seeing the film.
I think did when I was a teenager (incredibly ironic it was Xmen: First Class), but that had very little relation to the others.Logan is standalone. A good film is a good film, it shouldn't need someone following all the entries.

It's not really completionist, I just want to get the full effect of the film, and I don't think I would if I hadn't seen the previous entries.
I can kind of see why Lego Batman didn't set the world on fire after seeing it. The movie whizzes by a mile a minute and it's sometimes even difficult for me as an adult to wrap my brain around the visuals and dialogue, let alone kids. The only things that got huge bellows from the kid-dominated crowd was mostly the gags.
Feel bad for the people watching Agents of Shield to catch everything in the Marvel movies 😂You think people have watched all 26 Bond films, or every MCU movie and the MCU TV-shows?
I've only seen maybe half of the Marvel movies and honestly I think I've benefited from it.Feel bad for the people watching Agents of Shield to catch everything in the Marvel movies 😂
