Stranger Things wasn't renewed for a second season until 6 or so weeks after it premiered.

It wasn't announced, but it was renewed before it premiered.
Were you instructed to be coy about the renewal when you were promoting the first season?

Matt: They greenlit the second season before we even premiered. So when everyone was going, "Is there going to be a second season?" we had been writing the entire time. So we’ve been working on this almost all summer.

Ross: It drove me crazy. "Please, can't we just tell everyone we’re doing a second season?"

I thought the last season was pretty good, it was very topical towards the end.

And I'll always love Stanley nuking Newfoundland.

Also, you really don't know trash until you watch at least one Tyler Perry show.

Just saw a commercial that here in Canada, we're getting Anne (of Green Gables) this month, on March 19th. Kind of surprised it's two months before Netflix, and it's even a couple of weeks after the finale. They should have done weekly releases for worldwide, like some of the CW shows.

Netflix did the same thing with Degrassi. It aired in it's entirety on Family Channel then Netflix put them up.
 
I hated Lexx initially but eventually I came around to its stupidity and the hotness of Xenia Seeburg.

Men weren't exactly banned, there was a virus released that killed most of them men around the world so they were treated like a resource for re-population. Guess you could say they were banned from being free or whatever, heh.

Look above, it did well.

As for why no Chicago Med, no room. They only have space for 7-10 p.m. I haven't seen the crossover episodes yet, but I believe the Med crew had a good presence during Chicago Fire (and maybe even PD).

Isn't this year the last season? Or is it next year? I thought they had announced either 5 or 6 would wrap it up? I might be wrong though.

Season 5 starts next week and then Season 6 will wrap things up in 2018.

I never really paid attention to that.

Is it really season 1 in 1981, season 2 in 1982, season 3 in 1983 and so on?
 
Casting for the Inhumans show (mini series? its 8eps) continues to be great, kinda getting hyped now.

Disapointment will be even greater now ;_;

Well, I stopped watching somewhere halfway S2 (or 3), so I still have a lot of catching up to do anyway.

I assumed that from S1 to S2, but I probably assumed too much. Which is not unusual for me...

edit: Season 1 is 1981, S2 1982, season 3 has "march, 1983" as a title, so I presume that's the case still.

Nah, it is just getting middling reviews from what I've seen. Also it isn't whitewashed to hell and back, and talented directors worked on it. So it's not literally Stonewall.

It's the same type of bland that Milk was but more disjointed as far as I can tell.

Listening to Sepinwall, he seemed to enjoy it - saying that the finale made him cry. Oh well.

So I'm just watching When We Rise as a background watch and it's definitely better than Stonewall at least, but I can see why no one bothered watching it - it's both interesting history, but it's also history that everyone who might be interested already knows wrapped up in a relatively safe drama.
 
I'm catching up on The Original season 3 now and seen 6 episodes yesterday, and I gotta say it has become incredibly good. It still is better than TVD but that hasn't been hard for the past three seasons. Really worth my watch.
