Was it, though?
I say this as someone who identifies as a Sliders fan.

One of my favorite sci-fi shows is Sliders.
You merely adopted the trash. I was born in it, moulded by it.
Stranger Things wasn't renewed for a second season until 6 or so weeks after it premiered.I can't think of an example of where it backfired, though I assume it's happened somewhere. Recent examples include Stranger Things, Mr. Robot, Outcast, and Ash vs. Evil Dead. Most of the time they do this they're either extremely confident in the material/ratings success or it's a big budget project where they planned on making multiple seasons anyway for financial reasons (already have the cast on board, sets built, etc...) Even if it does backfire, it's probably easier to cover up since you wouldn't be canceling until after the second season, by which time a lot of people probably forgot that you gambled big on it and made a mistake.

Were you instructed to be coy about the renewal when you were promoting the first season?
Matt: They greenlit the second season before we even premiered. So when everyone was going, "Is there going to be a second season?" we had been writing the entire time. So weve been working on this almost all summer.
Ross: It drove me crazy. "Please, can't we just tell everyone were doing a second season?"
Sliders isnt trash, you're trash!![]()
Fine, Lex then.
I enjoyed Lex.
Go ahead, redeem Lex.
I am king of trash mountain.
Lexx has two xes. Bro how can you even call yourself a fan of sexually suggestive Canadian sci-fi trash if you can't get that right?

Netflix did the same thing with Degrassi. It aired in it's entirety on Family Channel then Netflix put them up.Just saw a commercial that here in Canada, we're getting Anne (of Green Gables) this month, on March 19th. Kind of surprised it's two months before Netflix, and it's even a couple of weeks after the finale. They should have done weekly releases for worldwide, like some of the CW shows.
Hey, remember the time the group slid into a world where men were outlawed and they got found out because one of the female Gestapo saw the toilet seat up?

You should feel that it was great, because it was.
Doesn't seem like great numbers at all for When We Rise

oh man, is it 1986 already? Sure hope no nuclear accidents happen this yea... aww shit.
(this is assuming they're still doing the one season = one year thing)
I'm surprised it endured this long though. While quality through and through, I never really thought it would last for some reason. I do hope it gets to go all the way to 1989 though.
Isn't this year the last season? Or is it next year? I thought they had announced either 5 or 6 would wrap it up? I might be wrong though.
Damn, nobody cares about the gay do they![]()

So literally Stonewall then. lolthey might if it didn't get bad reviews~
Season 5 starts next week and then Season 6 will wrap things up in 2018.
I never really paid attention to that.
Is it really season 1 in 1981, season 2 in 1982, season 3 in 1983 and so on?
Nah, it is just getting middling reviews from what I've seen. Also it isn't whitewashed to hell and back, and talented directors worked on it. So it's not literally Stonewall. So literally Stonewall then. lol

What's cute is her first ever role was playing the young version of her mother's character in Roseanne.Meet Sheldon Cooper. Laurie Metcalf's daughter Zoe Perry is also poised to play Sheldon's Mom.

Listening to Sepinwall, he seemed to enjoy it - saying that the finale made him cry. Oh well.Nah, it is just getting middling reviews from what I've seen. Also it isn't whitewashed to hell and back, and talented directors worked on it. So it's not literally Stonewall.
It's the same type of bland that Milk was but more disjointed as far as I can tell.
