Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| With Or Without EU

Like many my Wii U copy of BotW was delayed, but only by a day. Pre-ordered last August.

Two phone calls and a few emails later and I have a free month of prime on top of 10% off my prime bill (about £7).

I also just went out and bought a second copy from Smyth's for £45. Yeah it's only one day, but I'd already booked it off work. CEX are taking £43 for it, so given the Amazon discount and the fact I only paid £35 for my original copy, I'm up.

Edit: I also feel really guilty about buying a second copy, I'm just trying to make myself feel better :(

If you use Amazon to buy via another seller (Amazon would let me buy Zelda from The Game Collection, for example) can I still use Amazon vouchers against the purchase?

I went one further and bought a Switch instead (I'd been tossing it up for a few days anyway), but doing the same. As long as CEX keep the cash value up, I'll basically be getting my Doctor Strange Blu-ray id ordered alongside to use the BIGTHANKS voucher for free.

Extremely annoyed with shopTo at the moment. I received Horizon Zero dawn a few days ago after pre-ordering it on the 27th, although i ordered at the end of the day it was still before launch. It should have came with art cards and a pre-order code, i got neither and they won't give me them despite me ordering before launch day and it being mentioned on the store page when i ordered. Their excuse was something about it "being ordered after they were removed" despite the store page saying it was a pre-order and still saying cards came with a pre-order.

I don't normally order from them so i'll be sending it back to get the game from elsewhere, i don't think i'll be ordering from them again anytime soon. Anyone know what the cheapest place for Horizon: Zero dawn is at the moment? It seems some places have increased their prices (at least, shopTo has).

Oh man, I was so tempted when I saw they had them in Smyths for £320 + Zelda. It's almost as if Nintendo planned it.

But I'd already paid for my Wii U copy so I resisted.

Hope you enjoy it, I'm jealous!

Hah, cheers man. Even better, our work does 8% off at Argos and got Zelda elsewhere through mostly trade ins so the whole lot will cost me £270 in total. Can't really knock it since £250 was my original cutoff for the console price alone.

I received an email from Amazon saying that "we do not have an expected delivery date" for Zelda Wii U. They gave me a £5 code and a discount code for the digital version.

Looking for a ME: Andromeda (PC) pre-order. Saw it for close to £30 awhile a go but missed it. What's the cheapest pre-order you guys have seen?

As an FYI, don't ever buy a console for launch from the Nintendo Store.

If people haven't seen the Switch UK price thread. NUKD colossally fucked up many people's pre-orders, and we don't even know where the parcel has got to. The tracking says Royal Mail doesn't have it. Nintendo are impossible to get a hold of, dropping people after they've been on hold for over half an hour. Not responding to emails.

No one knows what the fuck is happening.

It's no surprise that they're ran by the hut group who have proven time and time again that they're useless. Admittedly I'd had no problems with them with preorders prior to this, often getting stuff a day before launch. It seems they're back to their old tricks though.

I only ordered from them because of the 2 year warranty, but that wasn't worth all of this worry and annoyance.

Yikes. I bought my Majora's Mask 3DS from them back in 2015 and had no issues.

And yet people are still paying over £400 for it on ebay. I don't get why people do this when stock is still readily available at RRP.

I don't really care about having to wait but since thegamecollection won't get my botw Wii u release to me by Monday at the earliest, can I get free stuff by pretending to care and complaining.

I was really taken aback with how Nintendo UK managed to keep it in stock for so long. It almost seemed too good to be true when they have to keep their retail partners stocked and happy. I'm sure they will try to make it good with some merch leftover from Gamescom. Perhaps a zelda loin cloth.

How exciting!

I ordered a Switch from Nintendo UK Store at 5pm yesterday and got it at 10am this morning.

Gratz.

Not everyone has been so lucky though.

It seems like they fulfilled backwards, so later orders got shipped first. The earlier ones got fulfilled last and were rushed, half of them were shipped by a completely different service which they didn't tell us about. Some people were lucky enough to receive their parcels from Hermes or Yodel or whatever, but a lot of us are without a working tracking code, or with a tracking code from RM that says they never received it. We're in a state of limbo.

I ordered as soon as they went up on the Nintendo store back in January, and my reward was them screwing up my order.

Is there anywhere to get cheap nintendo e-shop credit in euros? I want shovel knight but 25 euro feels kinda steep.

Not much cheaper, but if you make a Canadian account and your card works on that eShop, then it's around £18.

Judging by the Switch thread, it was earlier pre orders that were fucked. It was only a matter of time until they fucked up on a large scale, what with being run by Zavvi and all.

Any more delivery updates? I can't wait to find out if you guys got your games.

FYI everything arrived yesterday.

Switch from Game
Pro controller from Very that I had to go to a store to pickup that I found out does delicious hot dogs
Blue strap, 1-2 Switch, Zelda Amiibo and some USB-C chargers from Amazon

Sorry for the delay, I got balls deep j to Zelda.

My Boomerang rentals Zelda WiiU order turned up today! There was no despatch email like they normally send out. I think I only preordered it a week ago, hopefully, you lot will be getting it in today's post.

Including getting scammed by videogamebox BoTW only cost me £75 :/

Oh man, that really stinks.
You'd think they would be able to handle something so simple as order fulfillment.

I'm pleasantly surprised, I was expecting it on Monday after it didn't arrive yesterday.

Any news on the price of Nioh? I really want to play it, but still holding out hope for the price to crash.

I mean the game recently came back into stock everywhere, so you may be waiting a while for its price to crash.

Ok, well glad the game is doing good for sure. Im just too used to new games dropping in price so fast these days. Guess im waiting untill summer then.

You should keep an eye on ebay,i have seen brand new sealed copies go for £30 to £35 buy it now, which is a great price for the game imo.

I never used TheGameCollection before. Is there anything I should wary of before buying from them?

They're cheaper than other retailers, fast delivery, standard plain cardboard box packaging for games and they usually deliver games before release dates.

Absolute assholes if you ask me. AVOID!

I remember ordering a game from them which never arrived and they didn't believe me. They got my £40 and never looked back. Ever since I promised to myself no matter how cheap they are they'll never get a penny from me again.

In my experience their packaging isn't the best. Otherwise they're perfect.

Pretty much, packaging can be hit and miss but that's the worst thing I can say about them.

I've literally had no trouble with them, and their support has always been polite and helpful when I've had to contact them.

Same thing happened to me ordered a DS game about 5 years ago. Never arrived so filled missing item form supplied by them and then they said they never received that either. Dodgiest company I've ever dealt with. At £25 the cost wasn't enough to get a refund from my credit card.
Will never use them ever again and would recommend everyone else to not use either!

If they have a PayPal checkout you'll not lose any money should such a thing happen
