I talked to my friend too so the shrines are the glowing orange things far off in the distance? So I'm supposed to go off that far right? For some reason i thought everything was in that small part od the world map so i explored everything and found nothing. Got super confused.

yeah, when you see one set a pin and then it'll show up on your map

I asked this before but I need to know this for sure. When it comes to things like Sapphire and Ruby it's clear that this fetches you a high price. But when I see the description of Opal it says it contains the power of water. Sure I can't do anything with this other than for selling?

Ruby is fire if you read the description as well.

This game needs an option to automatically use the next weapon in your list. Going into the quick menu during fights is super annoying.

So are there actually
nine hundred
Korok seeds. I am running into a bunch but that still seems insane. I really want to
use them to upgrade my inventory because I'm always running out of space since I want to keep some higher level weapons for tougher enemies.

Wow OK. So, if you plan on just free roaming and living off the land like me, while neglecting the story, I would strongly recommend you at least make it to the second village and upgrade the
sheikah slate. In its upgraded form, you can take pictures of materials and then tune the sensor to only search for that material.
Fucking amazing. This game.

Yea learned that the hard way.
I ran all over the left side of the map before upgrading the slate. It sucks that I missed out on cataloguing a bunch of items but at least there's a way to fill out the compendium with actually having the item on you
.

There is
shop in Gerudo Town for crafting elemental gear.

Ive read that
you can add attributes to gear.
dunno where

So what do you need to do that allows the Old Man to sleep in his bed at Old Man's hut?

I know you can do it and I thought you had to say or do something to him and I'm pretty sure you can do it before you leave the Grand Plateau.

Unlock the tower and maybe do first shrine after that I was able to sleep in his cabin

So the outfits and weapons you can get from the different LoZ amiibos...are those amiibo exclusive?

Like OoT's outfit and WW Link outfit? Feel free to spoiler the answer if you feel necessary.

I am extremely impressed with this game. I was dreaming about it the last two nights and interrupting my sleep wanting to play. That doesn't even happen for me with Pokemon or Smash Bros.

I absolutely Love wandering around. The world really does feel real and lived in compared to previous Zeldas.

Is there a way to put something in the compendium without saving the photo?

I just reached the limit of photos and i have to manually delete each individual photo now.

All of them eventually serve additional purposes if you hang onto at least a handful of them.

So currently I'm in a shrine called
Fateful Stars. It says to pay attention to the constellations to solve it but I just can't seem to figure it out.
Could someone assist me please?

It's quick and painless. Just press X once to enter Delete mode, then select a bunch of photos you don't want with A... Then press X again to delete the batch all at once.

Cool, I found an awesome flame sword!

*1 minute later it breaks*

Such a fun gameplay design...

Yeah, this is the main thing I'm just not liking so far, I think. While I'm having an absolute shit ton of fun, the game does have it's flaws, the durability stuff being the biggest. Some other user here showed me how to use cheat codes with Wii U games, but unfortunately it looks like nobody's come up with an infinite durability code yet, so just gotta deal with it.

Wish you could at least carry around a very basic unbreakable sword, maybe with like 5 atk. You'd always have something to hit enemies with.

Oh damn, and here I thought I could sell that stuff without any worries. Lol. Wonder what the water and fire stuff means.

Yep good idea. I have plenty of Opal, so I'm just gonna sell half or so.

Not really, I did that with only four hearts. Just never get hit, parry/dodge perfectly every time and kill it bebore it fires its laser

Yea they really telegraph their moves, honest the hardest part for me was having enough weapons to actually kill them.
Especially at the end when it starts fire death lasers.

I just go through and delete all of them after a while. I don't see any reason to keep them since they're permanently added in as well. It would be nice if the save option came after and not before though cause I'd never save any of them.

I need some help:

I don't know what to do:
if go to find all the spots to unlock the memories or just go to see the 4 giants (the main missions I have).
I found 3 spots already but now I'm stuck beacuse I tried to find another one but I have to go to a place with a really strong enemies...th
x

Uh has anyone found eventide island yet

Holy shit

Yuuup. Completed it about 2 hours ago. Pulled off the final fight by the skin of my teeth. It could not have possibly come any closer to blowing it than it did, and the way I won the fight... I resorted to things I didn't even know were possible.

We;ve unlocked the tower and already done 3 shrines and when we talk to him at his Cabin he still says nothing about it, and going to the bed has no button prompt.

We even tried talking to him at night here.

Really strange. Especially since in another game save we were able to do it. Not sure what the exact unlock for it is.

This game is fantastic - been streaming it for the last four hours, and I'm really impressed with the presentation values of the cutscenes, voice acting and general scope. Although the frequent technical issues on Wii U are a little of a dampener.

Am I right in thinking that things like Topaz, Amber etc. are upgrade materials of some form?

Just had an intense stealth/climbing moment. It's a fortress called
The Citadel
. I knew I wasn't strong enough to take on the enemies there, but I really wanted to activate the map tower. My hands were getting sweaty trying to climb the mountain while avoiding the enemies.

Fuck, this game is something else.

Anyone know where I can get a good bow easily? I seemingly need one for the second part of the
waterblight ganon
fight.

Does anyone else like the durability concept? There's no point if you can keep a super powerful weapon infinitely or for too long.

That's why when I use my weapons I use them from weakest to strongest

Right now I am busy playing fast rmx and shovel knight. I was waiting for a patch for the docked version. Is that bad , should I wait or should I got ahead and start playing ?

Count how many times the constellation shows up on the big constellation map, than you need to insert the spheres in the correct positions marked by the blue torch things.

I still can't figure it out, tried chopping down the tree with the most apples, nothing.
tried chopping down the trees with the least apples, nothing.

It seems strange that they are up in higher elevation and there are multiple instances of this.

Bit late to this, but there's three trees. Two have one apple, the other has a bunch. Make them all match.

. I think a lot of us disliked it but you get used to it and it teaches you to use multiple types of weapons. It actually works really well.

Later on you get more durable weapons so they progressively get stronger and tougher.

Look around the
Zora's Domain on the left or right side of the top floor has a chest with a Silver Bow.

Indeed, that's strange.
Imo, don't waste your time and just eat to replenish your health.
There're plenty of food.
