So
100+
shrines and
900+
Kurok seeds.....

That sounds.. intimidating. They must really be everywhere. It's been said over and over but man this game is huge

Sorry I forgot the question mark, I don't actually know how many there are in the game. I remember that number leaking out and yea, that seems too insane to be true.

I love that one of the puzzles I solved today involved me standing in the pouring rain brandishing a metallic hammer basically begging Hylia to strike me down.

It was totally Thor like, well if Thor crumpled into a pile of frazzled death and was revived by a fairy of course.

Not one I've spied much outside the early hours but you've got the twin magnetic block structures on some walls as well.

Tell tales signs of some of the more minigame like ones such as shooting targets are usually triggered in small spirals of scattering wind and leaves.

I have to be more aware of my surroundings. There is so much do to. I focus too much on one goal and my tunnel vision leaves me blind of the small details.

Also has many people noticed the 3
apple trees
spread out throughout the world? I've traveled many places and I always see them around at random places. Wonder what quest that is....
Yeah I remember where one is in the middle of bum fuck nowhere. Are those for Koroks? I couldn't figure it out.

a lot of you guys are spoilering everything with little to no context, so to have any idea of what you're talking about the spoiler needs to be clicked anyway.
knock it off :\

Is there a way to know if a Korok puzzle/seed is nearby beyond just noticing it? I mean like using
the Sensor+ for items and shrines
.

Hateno Village spoilers
are you fucking kidding me? Talking to a demon statue steals a heart from me? Um no. Fuck that little boy. I'm reloading my save.

Welp got to stop reading this OT. I'm far too early in the game and I'm reading some comments without any spoiler tags that say things I didn't even know about. I can only blame myself. I'll be back when I get further along.

Does anyone know if there's a Korok puzzle near the Lanayru Tower? I found something that kinda looks like a mini golf course but I got the boulder in the hole and nothing happened 😢

Feel sorry for us dudes who still have no Amazon delivery date.

Oddly enough I don't see many impressions on this thread. Most of you are just talking about what to do in the game instead of telling us your views on it.

So I went to a local retailer to get the Wii U version, and it happened to be completely empty. Just a coincidence or have they printed very little Wii U copies?

You have to make it so all the trees have the same apples in the same places by removing the extras.

It's not a fun gameplay design. There's no joy in getting a weapon when you know it's only good for a few battles at most.

It can be fun, I really like it. Much better than getting complacent with one weapon for the entire game. It also means there is plenty of variety everytime I play. Great idea and as usual its these devs pushing the envelope and trying something new. Not everyone wants to stick to ready salted crisps when there are so many other flavours to try lol

I'm stuck in
Kakariko
village. I've heard that once you have completed certain side quests, the ball (jewel) gets stolen.
So far i've completed the
cooking one, catching cucos, that painter guy, arrow lady.
Am I missing something?
Heard sth. about fireflies?

Would be so awesome if Switch had achievements.

Man.

Man I have to say I am relieved it hasnt. Reminds me of old school games where I made my own targets. When there are trophies in games I usually find myself trying to get most of them, its refreshing to play a game without all that shit.

When can I use Amiibos?

Just finished the first 4 shrines for Old Man and im going to meet him after turning in the 4 containers. Are Amiibos unlocked after that or is there a special shrine I need to do?

So the game just crashed my Switch and gave me an error that forced me to reboot it while I was on the Lake Tower.

Has something similar happened to anyone else? Really hope this isn't a hardware issue...

The game is exactly what I wanted from Zelda, or hell, any video game.

It's up there with Metal Gear Solid 3 and 5, Resident Evil 4, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Last of Us, and other hugely memorable moments in gaming.

The flaws are crushed by what they did SO RIGHT in this game

This is the OT, there's an impressions thread elsewhere.

Some of these Korok Seed puzzles in the world are really neat, found one on the of a peak of a random mountain and
there were three boulders on top. I looked around and there were 2 trees that's spread apart from each other down the hill and I immediately knew it was a puzzle. I rolled 1 down and got it between the 2 trees on my first try.....awesome.
. It's really fun to stumble upon them when you're just exploring the world.

And lol, fought a 2 unarmed Lizalfos and threw a bomb at 1 of them them. 1 was already down behind me and the other ran up to the bomb and flicked it with it's tail towards me, I dodged it and then detonated it as hit the other Lizalfo who was getting up! I freakin' love the unpredictability of the combat and I really hope that Nintendo can have their video capture function up really soon because there's sooooo many hilarious and awesome moments in this game!

Yeah that Korok puzzle on the mountain I sort of did by accident, I put a bomb in the middle of the rocks and set it off not knowing what else to do and they all slid off in opposite directions. I jumped off the mountain and started gliding and then....boom Korok.

it is part of the game. you would not need 3/4 of the loot if you could just get a weapon and stick with it.
also it merges with the rest of the mechanics pretty well, forcing you to think about what you keep and what you throw away

Turn on amiibo usage in your options, it then becomes a rune.

How did this game get nearly perfect scores when it has such horrible framerate.

Because it's not always bad, in fact the amount of time it's bad amounts to a few seconds in grass and a few seconds during multi-enemy combat.

Dark Souls was a pinnacle of gaming excellence when it released and it had Blighttown.

As far as game design goes, everything here is excellent or great.

It's interesting (minor music spoiler)

that they used a variation of Fi's theme during the scaling of resurrection towers and so forth. Almost maybe a reference as to "this is what guides you in this game" or something along those lines.

I also liked the touches of Epona's song in the stables, but was actually surprised to see it fully return with Kass's accordion playing.

I'm finding it bad in entire towns.
