finished the first proper dungeon..rather small but the material in it was good, rather different from the usual zelda dungeon,it had me lost for a while, especially because one important feature needed to coplete it was not explained at all, stumled on it by pure chance.

by the way, i think those that wantd a pure adventure with no hand holding in terms of where to go and where to gather info got what they wanted, this game definitely treats you like an adult

I've been fortunate in that the blood moon has never done anything to interrupt me over 25 hours of play. every time it happens to me I get a cool visual since I'm usually just running across a field or standing on a vista at the time.

So many screenshots.

Is there an easier way to get the screenshots off the Switch. Like save them to the SD card, will I be able to just copy them over to my laptop?

I put one upgrade into stamina so far and haven't really encountered anything that needs more than that... has anyone found that it's worth choosing stamina over hearts?

I have 3 bars on my stamina now, and think its worth it more than hearts. There is lot of climbing in this game.

It really hasn't happened all that often to me personally. Maybe you're just unlucky?

it's not just unlucky, it's bugged. I can't imagine any sane designer would say it's okay to have it happen 3 times in 10 minutes. Honestly, a sane designer wouldn't have this happen at all. It's not fun being pulled out of the game and your fight/quest/whatever interrupted to watch a scene you've seen before.

If you get a perfect parry, does it actually damage the shield at all? Minor gameplay spoilers:

I've heard you can deflect Guardian beams with regular shields, but I kind of don't believe that when the Guardian Shield description specifically mentions it can deflect Guardian beams

They respawn enemies on top of me and interrupt me in the middle of fights. They interrupt quests. They reset everything. A bit ago it happened when a hinox was about to die and reset him. Hinox aren't very hard, really, (did cost me arrows and weapon durability though) but it's so annoying to be interrupted and have what you're doing ruined

The only time I got repeated blood moons was on Mt Lanayru. Got 3 within a few minutes. If people bring this glitch to Nintendos attention I'm sure it'll get patched. Now that I'm off of the mountain I get blood moons only every several days.

Enemy spoilers:

The wizzrobes in this game can summon lightning. Holy fucking shit.

The first time I met one, it was at night in an abandoned town, and it was a fire one. I actually thought it was a Poe at first

oh my god did you see the pic I just posted of it eating apples out of my hands? this horse is a BEAST, motherfucker is built. I love it. I'm gonna find a stable ASAP and name him Samson.

Those pictures of giga horse are killing me.

Make sure to register that thing at a stable and cherish it forever

Just went through the entire build up leading to my first dungeon. It wasn't particularly difficult or even clever game design, infact it was very simple and straightforward but the fact that after hours of just randomly going around unlocking maps and doing shrines a nice linear sequence made for a refreshing change...Especially since the transition is handled very very smoothly.

All I'll say is

I still remember seeing my first one at the bottom of a ravine near the Kakariko area, I just had to investigate the prancing mad man.
Next thing I know i'm embroiled in a hellish firestorm and overheating, it was glorious.

Best Wizzrobes in Zelda history, also thought it was a poe at first.

Oh shit, that's his name now

Fuck. Does anyone know where to find a stable in the region south of the Great Plateau? plsssss I don't wanna lose this guy but I've already had to sidestep like two enemies that were 20ft tall and scary as fk

You mean the long long gauntlet along the river to get to the zora city? Honestly that was a low point for me. The game isn't playing to its strengths when it's just putting you in a long linear path doing things in a set order and seeing scripted scenes.

To each his own, I guess, but the game is at its best when I'm in control, not it

Finally finish
The island were they take everything away...that damn hinox was tricky to finally get what you had to do!!
. Feels so good ro finish that part!!

The other I did was
The frozen mountain, climbing that was a nice challenge to then find the spring of well on top and saving the well spirit from corruption...flying all around the mountain was quite a challenge!!
.

Really loving every second of this game!!

Beedle just gave me an
ancient arrow
for customer apprecieation day

Holy shit

I'll be sure to never use it

Okay, I'm excusing the lack of dungeons now. The larger side areas that end in a shrine are fantastic.

I've done the island and maze so far.

I'm loving the shrines. I got stuck on one for a good 25 mins. It was me overthinking it.

Then I got completey owned by a Major Strength Test Trial, but the rewards were worth it

How many motion control shrines are there? I've only encountered 1 so far and it was awful. Maybe it's better with Switch motion controls, but with the Wii U gamepad it was so painful...

When do fairies reset at fountains? They seem OP in this game.

I just got a bunch of ++ weapons that were better than anything I picked up at Hyrule Castle from a major test of strength.

I just made it there and you dont have to go this way. Its funny... these other games must have cultured and fine tuned some of you to play in a certain style that when presented you automatically think thats what you have to do. Think outside the box. I literally got to the Zora domain and when I looked down I realized I missed a complete path and area I didnt travel because of my curiosity. There must truly be some linearity epidimic going on that the games you played has already trained you to do in this game.

I need help. I stopped playing 1 hour ago. I am still thinking about what to do next, and reading this thread. Seriously, I can't remember last time a game did this to me.

I promised myself I'd never do this. I want to buy an amiibo.

Specifically to get a chance at the OoT outfit. Anyone want to sell me theirs ;)

That was my first as well. I managed to survive somehow. Super fun fight, and way different than any kind of fight I had experienced up till then.

Got a fire rod from it that let me later survive an assassination attempt that included 3 boko skeletons in addition to the assassin. The charged attack from that rod is devastating.

This game...

You know a game has its hooks in you when your wife cooks you a good dinner and all you can think about while eating it is recipes in the game and what to eat....
