Haven't left the plateau yet (out of town all weekend lol) love the game to pieces- but does anyone have any hope that they'll add customizable button schemes beyond the jump sprint switch? I'm sure it's too early to say but lo, fully remappable buttons are missed.

solitaire island with a dungeon

I'm surprised you didn't have an "Extreme card game battle"

I really need to commit to learning to parry now that I've heard about what you're capable of parrying. Maybe I'm rusty or my timing is off but the window seems small.

So a full or rather different version of that song that plays in the 2nd Zelda trailer plays at the top of my lanaryu, looks like the beginning part is a song in itswlf, still trying to find that other part thr was so beautiful

Argh, I need one more Ancient Core to upgrade stasis. I got 2 from random chests in shrines, but there's gotta be another "for sure" way to get one more.

(Also, I probably can't kill one of those large guardians yet). Any ideas guys?

If you time your shield parry perfectly, you can reflect guardian shots back at them, regardless of what shield you have.. The moving ones on the ground can sometimes drop Ancient Cores. The big flying ones might also drop them, but haven't killed one to test it out yet.

After checking out the tech lab in Hateno Village, you can get a side quest there regarding someone named Robbie that will have those in stock for rupees and ancient parts.
I just have
Robbie's Research in my quest list. Do you just talk to him? I did the Sunshroom Sensing quest from him already.

Does anyone else just feel brainless with these dungeons? I'm at
the camel in Gerudo desert
and just kinda stumped with the gimmick.
If you are trying to
activate the pedestal thing in the "humps"
think about what different things in the game can
conduct electricity
. That's how I finished it.

Hahaha holy shit this game surprises me all the time. I went to go do the sheep quest at Hateno Beach and combed over that whole area.
I see a shrine across the water. There is no way I'm getting to it so I go up the nearest cliff. Another shrine! I finish that one, glide down, do the second shrine, and decide to take the close raft to the nearest island. Then the game decides "oh so I hear you like a challenge?" I spent hours trying to overcome that island! Hahaha
I just got to Eventide Island.
... This game gets more and more awesome.

!!!

yaaaas! I love that area so much.
The fact that I reached it using a raft really sold me on the idea of being stranded.

I just have
Robbie's Research in my quest list. Do you just talk to him? I did the Sunshroom Sensing quest from him already.

Not sure if I did the sunshroom sensing quest, but I went to talk to him and had to get the furnace running to access the ancient gear vendor.

Oh wow that's all there is to it? I'd been trying to time pressing L, trying to roll the analog stick with the direction it's throwing me around in and everything. Thanks!

seriously? that's it? lol

Thank you!

yup. I also failed couple of times with the horses at the beginning. Nobody ever says you have to mash the L button or anything. I tried to hold, tried to time it, and then realized I just press the button to slowly.
After pressing A I always use my right hand to mash the L button now, lol. Gotta make sure.

I think its average, not great, not bad. Also, this is their first venture into voicing a Zelda game. Maybe next time they will go all out. These could be treehouse employees. lol

Mipha and Zelda are really the only voice actors I have a problem with in this game. They're trying WAY too hard to be timid and soft-spoken. It's a little cringey.

Game crashed on me. Closed it and restarted it but it kept crashing and won't load. So I took the cartridge out and blew on it and stuck it in and it worked! Lol, just messing. I just took it out and put it back in and it worked again.

Is there no way to store extra armor somewhere else? I kind of want ti all, but I have such limited space
I guess someone else can confirm this, but I guess if you buy a house, you could store (drop) your weapons there?

Yes. I've noticed this as well... very washed out. My TV is calibrated, and everything else looks great on it (PS4, XBone, PS3... even other WiiU games)

Does the Switch version look less washed out?
Something I noticed recently is that enabling Game mode on the Tv helps some Wii U games look "sharper".
Deus Ex doesn't look as foggy and color corrects the piss filthering. On the othe hand, it adds a severe motion blur when moving. In Pikmin 3, adds a little of noise but greatly tones down the soft bloom. On BotW, the shadows look darker and the colors are not washed out. But I guess is something that everyone needs to try for themselves and see if is of their liking.

The
ball maze puzzle
?
I let the ball drop on purpose and flipped it upside down completely so I could use the flat side and flipped it on course, I'm really surprised they let me do that.

What I did was
i spun the whole puzzle like a record on a record player so the "exit" was facing me - I think this is what you have to do to get the chest in there, too - and the ball happens to drop directly into the straightaway leading to the "exit". Don't have to faff about with going through the whole maze. I tried it your way at first but it was tricky without the walls, hahha.
