There was a brief moment where I sold all my ore and earnt, like, 4000 rupees and thought I broke the economy. Nooooope.

Also, it took me a hilariously long time to find even one rupee. I started to doubt they were even in the game.

Is ore used for anything down the line? What else can be safely sold?

Have you done the side quest
The Spring of Wisdom in Hateno Village?

If you haven't. Do that.

If you have done that side quest, you learned that
if you shoot an arrow at them they lose a scale. The scales are needed for stuff. You don't kill the dragons, they are on your side

Okay just did that quest but what do you do with the
scale
now?

edit: ooooh, nevermind ^^

Question about armor upgrades:

I noticed that to upgrade some of my gear I need a horn shard from a
dragon. Now I've defeated the one at the peak on the snowy mountain, but at the end I had to kill it to set it free, so how in the hell can I get more scales and horn shards, if the dragon is gone?

Did i miss the cooking tutorial? I can sit at campsites next to the fire and pot, but theres no option to cook. Is it something you learn after a shrine? Or did I just miss talking to an npc? No specifics please.

Would someone mind explaining how amiibo unlock clothing items?

Each Zelda Amiibo, from the Smash, 30th Anniversary, or BotW lines give you a batch of a specific type of items and a treasure chest. Inside the chest is a random reward, that could be something simple like Fire/Ice Arrows, could be an in-game weapon, or could be an amiibo-exclusive item.

Example: Toon Link gives you fish and a chest every day, in that chest could be 5 Ice Arrows, a fairly standard item, or part of Toon Link's costume which is an amiibo-exclusive item.

Just sell all your topas and ruby and sapphires and what have you. There are some that can be used later to repair stuff, I think, but all of that stuff is plentiful enough. (And you can find them using tools you'll earn later.) the only thing I sold that I regret are ancient parts. Don't sell them!

You can get a supply drop from certain Amiibo once per calendar day. The supply drop contains a specific in game thing like fire arrows or rupees plus another big chest that contains a random cosmetic item like the OoT green tunic. You can use it once per calendar day (not in game day). if you have a lot of amiibo you can use every one of them once per day I believe (but I don't have any of them). It's paid cosmetic micro transactions that are included in a toy.

Thank you.

Major spoiler question:
So how long is the cool down period for the Master Sword? It's been recharging for two dungeons now.

I just finished L
omei Labyrinth Island
... that might be one of my favourite areas in the game so far. God I just love all these special overworld trials! They're so unique and weird!

Speaking of exploitable shrines I did one earlier that had me in awe of this game. I'll spoiler since I can't remember the name or location but it was a very simple one based on swinging platforms and obstacles.

In the second step of the shrine you have to walk across a thin platform that has spiked balls sat idle in the way. The objective is to get then moving with the magnet, instead I looped them over the beams they were suspended from removing them entirely from the path.

Do we think its always going to be possible to do and collect everything in the game? I'd imagine so, but you never know if there are one time only things.

I hate one time only things..

You didn't kill it. All dragons appear regularly at different spots on the map.

You need to go into the menu, pick food items to hold and then when you go back it'll give you the option to cook (when near a lit pot fire).

Can you upgrade the sets that come out of those chests? Like are any of them any good for meaningful use, or just for looks?

On the topic of those older game sets, there is one I came across that can be found in-game:
Kilton, the guy you first encounter at Skull Lake for some side quest, sells an OoT Dark Link set. He doesn't accept Rupees though, he only trades in some made-up currency he will give you in exchange for various monster parts.

That dragon is now flying around the mountain and Lanayru area. If you go to the Lanayru West Gate and the ruins in that area, wait a while and it should fly through. You'l know when the music changes

When do you call it cheating? I feel guilty because I looked up the location of the hidden area for the
Misko, The Great Bandit
side quest.

I can't fully translate it right now and I'm sorry to post this in spanish. That guy is basically asking other people to give zelda a 1/10 score, just to lower down the average note of the game. It's just so silly.

So I reached the Rito hometown.... I still need to go back and defeat the Lynel and do the Zora Domain temple.

I have 8 hearts and 2 stamina circles now.

For those asking about selling stuff, what are you spending the Ruppees on? I think I've only bought one thing so far and been playing for a while.

I just got what I think is the best shield in the entire game shortly after finishing the first dungeon. What.

Where to find it, and what it is:
The Hylia Shield is ridiculously easy to reach and the Boss you have to fight is actually easy - just shoot at his eye and whack at him while he's stunned. It is at the basement in Hyrule Castle, reachable by mineshaft.

I be honest that was a massive surprise.

Another question. Found a good way to defeat Guardians. Do they respawn?

So what do you guys think about the lack of music?

Feels weird as a long time Zelda fan. Game is amazing regardless, but it's very uncharacteristic.

I've bought a few sets of clothing now and the prices can run up. Similar case for staying stocked up on arrow types if you want to use them liberally. There's a 3k purchase in one of the early towns you're led to as well that's tempting me. Money however is pretty easy to make as well. Go harvest and hunt then cook it all up into high end food and sell it.

Did one run and made over 1k.

Lol, I just got (Southern region sidequest spoiler)
giga horse
and tried to get a different saddle and bridle for it. The only reaction:
"Oh my, what a gigantic beast! And it doesn't look like it wants its mane coiffured as well. Sorry, I can't do anything here." (Loosely translated from German)
Really funny what little details they built in.

I love it, because they nailed the sounds of the wild. Hearing the wind blow and the tree leaves fluttering adds so much more than some nice melody ever could.

I don't mind tbh

The whole design of the game is fantastic so far and the little notes here and there just help to accentuate how desolate a lot of the parts of the game are.

That being said I am in love with the music from the 3 towns I visited and the Hyrule Field theme that plays while riding on my horse and I cannot get the battle theme out of my head.

Jesus. After finishing the
Ruta
dungeon(?), I decided to paraglide and climb up
to where Ruta now stands up on a mountain. When I get over the edge at the top I start hearing this ominous music, I'm thinking "Uh oh.. this can't be good? I thought we were all cool now...", run around for a few secs while the weather is turning reddish and then I'm positive some weird shit is to go down, and the screen goes black aaaaaaaaaand.... blood moon.

Using the camera to make your own bestiary is cool, but can you override the picture used with a better photo later on?

Disappointed there's no NPC bestiary, though.

Yea, I'm saving for the house but I'm afraid to sell stuff unless I have a ton of it. Wasnt sure if there was something I was missing. The item I bought was clothes lol.

Whoever posted the moblin thing is right. Apparently when they fall the game starts to freeze. Im in portable mode and there are very few if any drops even in the problem areas like villages.

Seems to be an error as opposed to performance based. Now how do we let Nintendo know to fix it?
