Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel |OT|Homura & Aino free for the first month

For any trophy hunters that wander in here the majority of the list is very easy. With only 3 trophies being of actual skill. You could probably get 80% in a day.

This might be the easiest fighting game platinum I've ever seen. No online trophies/challenge mode and the only time consuming one is beating story with everyone.

Having fun with it so far, Sonico is the best.

Man I always want to try games like this and Aquapazza (or whatever it was called), but I feel like there won't be much of an online community with these smaller games.

How's the story mode / single player? Is the AI pretty decent?

Super Sonico + Sansei Muramasa =

Haha.

GB QL made this look way better then I thought it would be.

Only recognize Saber and sadly Saya(could have done with forgetting that was a thing).

this games comboing lol. this took me like 5 minutes to come up with

You can hit folks on the ground multiple times too like in Tekken so after that "ended" I'm pretty sure you could've whacked em a few more with lows.

Game really is a combo/setup factory. Those assists are insane being allowed to call 2 at the same time. Most usefull for combos has to be Dragon's yell, The locusts, and the Zombies. They have a nice delay to them and they hit for a loooooooong period. Also the Super Sonico concert assist is ridiculous. She puts on a concert and random power boosts to def, atk, and health pop out of her to catch but it lasts like a full real world minute. The whole match can take place before it ends lol.

Loving this so far. Really amazed at how odd Super Sonico is to play. She is a summon character but since her cats that function as all her normals are always on screen she can hit you with lows and launchers while she is jumping in. A jump in that hits low when she's nowhere near you is a big mind fuck plus she can summon folks above and behind her opponent that knock them towards you. So far her and OUKA have the most out there lists of tools in their arsenal. I'm still needing to try Ethica and Homura though.

Dragon I cant seem to find any good way to launch into without meter as saber though. I should try harder with her DP. Akane is super easy to combo with as well. She doesnt setup big damage on her own, but her stun is so good at letting you just dash back up and keep going. I think with saber Ill have akane no matter what, and experiment with replacing dragon, but honestly I like akane + dragon a lot already

Hmm, I tried downloading the free DLC on my PS4 (both the double character set as well as the individual ones) but it just says "purchased". It won't let me download it or anything. This is the first time this has happened to me. Anyway know why this is?

Edit: Never mind, it says it's installed so I guess that's that. It's weird, because normally you get the listing in the notification section of the PS4 dashboard but nothing's there. It says it's installed though, so I guess it is. Unfortunately, I don't have the game yet (still en route to me) so I can't play/verify.

So, got this game myself last night. BB GCU + 10 off Reward Zone = $23 Shipped on PS4, too good to pass up. Plus the free DLC Characters sweeten the deal just a bit more.

Anywho, I've found myself really enjoying Ethica. Being able to combo into her grabs (Normal Command or Super) feels a lot better than I first thought she did, and her jumping heavy attack is excellent. She gets some great use out of those long, heeled legs of hers, which feels good (no magic hurtboxes missing on extended limbs here.)

I wanna get good with Muramasa, but she hasn't perfectly clicked with me yet.

Heart seems REALLY good, actually. She can follow up so well from her Hearto Paunchi smashes into the wall, she hits surprisingly hard at times, and has great bits of invulnerability, mix-up, movement, and moves for every situation with her Arcana permanently a part of her moveset.

Saya being a twisted, messed up Dhalsim is... really odd.

Sonico reminds me of Maori from Arcana Heart. Crazy Summons and cat limbs everywhere, with a dash of Manaka from Aquapazza. Makes her moveset feel kinda ridiculous, but fun and ultimately unique. Auto-tracking supers that appear right at the enemies location, GO!

Homura seems cool here, love the fact she has her Aerial Raves intact. She looks pretty good in 2D.

The systems are kinda daunting at first. The fact that the Escape button moves are basically a free action, allowing attack cancels, short hops, and extended combo potential with no use of meter anywhere surprised me. Same with Vanishing Guard, which looks like a parry, but it crazy easy to execute and use.

Variable Combination is... a lot more varied than I'd have expected. It's easy (unlike the rush combo system of last blade, which made you memorize unique strings per character), but the fact they have unique special moves, normals, and combos tucked away within them is pretty cool. The low difficulty to use them, and high variety of use, plus the fact some character have unique attacks / uses for them, really makes them more initially valuable than most exhaustive auto-combo style systems. It's more like the game gave everyone variable SNK Ranbu supers as a universal mechanic.

And then the crazy assist... WTH at cinematic super assist, lol. Much more limited per-character than Aquapazza, but having 2 unique ones obviously makes up for this. I've really come to like the idea of how modern anime fighters stick a bunch of extra faces (and VA work) into their games with these varied assist-only characters. Though I find it really funny how I have seen more of these assist characters around in Netflix-available series (Amy from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Angela from Expelled from Paradise, Akane from Psycho Pass), than the main cast.

All in all, I'm quite glad I got the game so far, as it's great to have something like this localized on PS4. I've played local and story mode only so far, going to have to try out some online eventually, and while people are still playing. I wish Aquapazza, UNIEL's latest update, and DBFC (Western Release) were so easy to get onto the PS4 as well. At least Chaos Code seems to be on the way, and it's easily one of my favorites.

Was it confirmed that you can play with Japanese players? I have the Japanese version and just tried playing online. Found nobody on. Wondering if this is AH3LM all over again or if the game is just that dead already.

Uuugghhhh, I've got most of the trophies already, but it's so frustrating not having a 2nd controller like I do for PS3 (fightpad that connects via USB). I got close to the Ultra Miracle one for doing 12k with Saya & assists Carol and Agetha, but only can get around 11k, plus the computer doesn't want to stay in the corner despite being on the easiest setting. Ugh, if only I could use my Vita as a second controller...or figure out a way to do remote play on my Vita, then use my PS4 controller as P2.

& for some reason, the "use all partners" trophy hasn't unlocked despite the fact I'm very certain I used all of them.

Edit: Yay, Vita remote play works, was able to get Ultra Miracle easily. Plus the partners trophy appears for some reason when I did a PvP battle.

I would argue the only real "hard" ones are Score Attack if you're not that good/don't have a feel for a certain character, the "use 10 moves" (I used the one with Muramasa), the "5 gauge combo" can take a few attempts. Of course, most of these are MUUUCCHHH easier if you can get a dummy CPU.

But yes, out of all the fighting games I've played, this is certainly one of the easier ones. In just a few hours, I was able to get everything except for the story-related ones.

How's Sonico play? I only know her, Akiba girl, Saber (and I'm not interested) and Homura (not one of my fav senrans either). Seems like she's a Zoner? Decently easy to play? I usually play rushdown, assuming I know enough to not button mash.

Impressions seem good so I might nab this while it's $32 w amazon prime

Believe it or not, one of the EB games here in Toronto is holding a freeplay tournament next weekend for this game. Kinda surprised me when I saw the poster since this game is so anime and weebo and all that, and they chose this over the vastly more popular SFV.

I need to get a more of a feel of Sonico, but man, her fighting style made me laugh. She has a bunch of cats & THEY do the fighting for her, along with her pop-up-out-of-nowhere band members. Certainly one of the more clever ways to make someone into a fighter.

huh, yeah on the weekend after SFV release is interesting. Maybe to sell another game to people coming in the store for Street Fighter?

Was thinking about getting this on the flash sale. Was concerned about the trophies etc since as much as I love fighting games I kinda suck at them and am I trying to platinum whatever new games I get.
So yeah how good is this game (worth the $12?) And how long would it take to platinum / how hard is it to complete trophy wise?

I heard it was easy to plat. Got it at launch and never had time to play it tho.

I got the plat in a day of playing. The longest part will be if you decide to read the story or not. Most of the trophies can be cheesed, outside of one COMBO setup which with a little practice isn't too hard. I will say that having a second controller is recommended though.
Aside from that it's a nice little fighting game, but I will say Dengeki is more fun.

Would anyone mind telling me if the game was regularly updated on the PS4? I know that the PC version kept parity with the arcade version, at least at launch.

Since it is on sale for €6.99 on the EU PSN, I am wondering if I should give it a try, but not if this version was "forgotten" by the developers.

I wouldn't say “regularly“ but there were some minor fixes and patches over the year. Regardless it's a surprisingly good fighting game. I had a blast playing this with friends even tho they didn't know any of the characters. Ethica is dope!

Thanks! By the way, if it's not much of a bother, could you check the version number of the latest patch and the changes? I can't find that info anywhere online. That would be great :^)
