PS4 Update 4.5 is coming tomorrow, details inside

i turned on boost mode and wanted to see its effects in action. so i thought of the poorest preforming thing i had, which turned out to be ff15's platinum demo.

the thing is buttery smooth now, like holy crap.

So can I actively have games installed on both the internal and external or does it somewhat turn off to the internal Hdd as storage if you have an external attached?

Just moved over 300GB of games I haven't touched in months but are digital. So I finally have enough space to download Nier. Feels good.

Going forwards screw physical. Being able to have everything installed ready to go at a moments notice is the way forwards for me I think.

I'm assuming "Beast mode" is only for the PS4 Pro and regular PS4 people are just like "Oh boy, system stability updates."

Yeah, not really feeling the new notifications area. It feels really cluttered and I hate that I can't seem to delete notifications. There was one tab in the previous notification area that wouldn't let you delete anything, and I'm assuming Sony just condensed all of the notifications into there. Annoying especially because I have a list of undeletable notifications dating back to 2015 - why do I still need to know that two years ago someone commented in a group I'm no longer part of?

On the plus side, I really like being able to manage cloud saves from the application tile. It's similar to how the Vita handles cloud saves but with a cleaner presentation. Much easier than the previous method for sure.

What??? That's amazing, I didn't know we could just move stuff to the external storage, I was thinking I would have to delete and download it again to the external. Awesome.

What happens if the external unplugs though? Any formatting or anything need to be done? May not want to have an external drive plugged it at all times.

How long will it take to move 600 gig worth of digital stuff to a hard drive? I'm gonna buy one over the weekend.
Honestly, a lot of time. 2 hours maybe?

Guys I just started GTAV and the game install took 45+ minutes without the patches. Is that normal?

They never get to true pro games levels. It's still a very faint fan sound and it's not even there all the time. Only notice it while running through the map on The Witcher.

Whew, that's a relief. The map screen in Horizon is scaring me each time with the turbojet sounds.

they could boost original ps4 cpu ( like they did with psp ) too since the original and pro share the same cpu, but well it's sony...

The PSP CPU was downclocked to 222MHz to preserve battery life, it was later bumped to full speed.
The PS4 pro and PS4 OG CPUs share the same design but it's not the same CPU

You can actively use both.

Cool, thanks for the quick response :)

I had the strange issue putting my 2tb in my slim where it would beep randomly, after never being a problem in my old og Ps4, so nice to be able to just plug it in externally and dodge whatever potential issues were going on there. Plus a cumulative 2.5tb now.

can I transfer a specific game like horizon zero dawn from console hdd to external hard drive to play it in an other console easy? and does the second console must have the same amount I used to purchase the game as primary ?
