So unlocked the Shrine in the Spring of Wisdom and find myself disappointed with the reward. They have you
take on a corrupted dragon in an aerial battle and offering it's purfied scale opens up a shrine that gives you a spear with 20 Attack? Feels really underwelming.

That's my favourite item drop so far in ~35ish hours :(

I've got some cool headgear but I still prefer the Spring of Wisdom drop.

Restart your Switch. Has fixed it the two times I've run into that one. It's annoying, I can't figure out what triggers it, but at one point I had six Blood Moons in about twenty minutes.

Thanks, I'll try!

Went off to explore a bit instead. When it got to night time naturally the blood moon came out, so I don't know if it happens when the Blood moon is about to come out naturally and it glitches?

EDIT: Nevermind, when the Blood moon came out again (as in I actually saw the moon rise which I didn't before), it just stopped as soon as the cutscene ended.

I'd be adding people but I'm too busy playing BotW. Plus it's completely inconvenient to enter friend codes which disincentives making friends.

plus you can't send messages and drawings or share anything from games with your friends so it's utterly pointless

what's the point of warm clothing if the only warm clothing offered by the game isn't warm enough for half of the snow areas?
The temperatures in this game have two level, at level 1 you only need one warm clothing. At level 2 you need two...but you can get by with just one if you have a fire weapon equipped. You don't need any clothing if you have a torch but it also means you can't climb or run.

There's no explicit declaration that Van Medoh was named after Medli."Med" might simply be a common phoneme in that culture, or it could even just be coincidence - the capital of China being called Beijing doesn't mean China has deep historical connections with Beyonce. If the Kokiri can change their form willingly, there's no reason to suppose that a flood is the only thing that would cause them todo it.

Urbosa and a tablet in Zora's Domain state that the Divine Beasts are named after Sages. In particular, Vah Naboris and Nabooru, Vah Rudania and Darunia, Vah Ruta and Ruto, and Vah Medoh and Medli. All Sages who were representative of the species their namesake Divine Beast would eventually protect (and later, endanger).

Meanwhile, the first memory very explicitly refers to the events of Twilight Princess, and Twilight Princess HD had minor edits made to support this link. It's Child Timeline.

There's a lot more explicit evidence towards the Wind Waker than there is towards Twilight Princess. Zelda saying
"steeped in twilight"
doesn't exactly guarantee a direct connection; it could easily be a red herring. As I said before, there is concrete evidence towards the Adult timeline, while there is one line that could infer a connection to the Child timeline.

As for "small changes", which ones? The Wiki doesn't list any like what you're describing.

Where are you guys finding all these amazing side quests???

I've been wandering through villages and not found any of these cool ones. Also you can buy a house?????

Ya there's no reason except to go "oh look, my friends are playing BotW again" I know all you fuckers are playing BotW why do I need to get told?

I keep getting distracted and wandering off and finding things

For real though there are a lot of side-quest givers at Stables, my goal right now is to find all the stables because they seem like hubs.

An adventurer tale.

Holy crap I climbed a mountain near Kakariko to get to a shrine. It was "a moderate test of strength". I got my butt kicked so I got out. Saw another shrine in the middle of the ocean so I glided there. I had just enough stamina and made it. This shrine was "a big test of strength" (if I recall correctly). Great - got my butt kicked again. So I got out and saw something next to the shrine entrance.

On this tiny island was an icon, a leaf. And a raft. I blew wind on the icon and a goalpost appeared. I jumped on the raft and got there in time - a korok seed, nice. At least I got something out of getting to this place even if I couldn't do the shrine just yet.

Now I'm on the raft in the middle of nowhere. I see an island far away, so I swing my leaf and get there.

Big sidequest spoiler about this island, a really cool moment if you haven't heard about it.
"EVENTIDE ISLAND"
POPS UP ON SCREEN. I'VE HEARD TALES ABOUT THIS ON A PODCAST AND BEFORE I COULD TURN AWAY THE QUEST STARTS. NOW I'M NAKED. WITHOUT WEAPON. AND I CAN'T TRAVEL AWAY. I HAVE FOUR HEARTS AND ONE STAMINA UPGRADE. SEND HALP.

Is there a chest-piece to go with the
rubber fish helmet and tights?
If so, is there anywhere I could find it?

don't worry, if you die you just restart in front of the island with all your things! For me it was amazing since i didn't know anything about the game, just wanted to visit everything, and then this quest starts, it's amazing

It's funny how we argue timeline stuff knowing damn well Nintendo doesnt take the minute details seriously.

I would argue the game takes place in the twilight princess timeline since they made a point about actually changing twilight princess hd to include ritos.

Wind Waker would have been cool, since the tower of the gods is basically where they came up with the sheikah tech stuff.

Hateno village.... just wow. The music... the atmosphere.... the sudden realization that I wanna buy stuff but have practically zero Rupees....

Yeah I think Dan mentioned it on the Bombcast, kind of wish I hadn't heard about it. On the other hand, just the name showing up on screen put fear in me because of what I had heard!

Is it different or has an extra bit? Trying to decide whether to get both endings. Also, do you get anything for beating the game? Does it save after you've finished?

No it doesnt save. You start at the entrance to the Final Boss.

I m pretty sure it's an extra bit, but im not sure

yeah, in french, the name is FINALIS ISLAND... you know there will be shit going on with that kind of name, haha

I found a way to farm
Dinraal
parts in order to upgrade the chamipons tunic. Head to the Eldin Great Skeleton and start a campfire on top of it's had. Wait until morning and then
Dinraal
will fly straight at you. Keep repeating this until you have the parts you need.

But..Twilight Princess is also referenced..

The twilight realm is referenced, not the events of Twilight Princess specifically.

So, do you sell every gem? Is there anything valuable safe to always sell?

Also is there any way to get your photos out of your Wii U without going through the slow ass miiverse?

I'm fairly sure this game takes place on the timeline where TP happens, seeing as the game is mentioned.

That said, it's set so far into the future that we might as well not talk about timelines. Like, seriously, it's not even 10,000 years into the future, 10,000 years ago Hyrule tech had advanced to the point where they could create monstrous beasts and towers etc. 10,000 society was more sci-fi than any hyrule we've seen before (I don't think it mentions why Hyrule regresses by the time calamity ganon comes about 100 years ago).

Either way, the guardians were made 10,000 years ago, but the guardians were made a long time after the other Zelda games.

Finished it this afternoon, but I plan on doing side quest stuff.

I personally found the dungeon completion abilities a little overpowered. I used one to skip a puzzle outright in one dungeon, and spammed another to kill Ganon pretty quickly.

Man exploration starts to just turn hard into mundane and unfulfilling after your 40th shrine/100th korok seed.

It doesn't help that the really cool unique moments/quests that you can find also just result... in a shrine. It's just a heart piece for a reward and you get it so often that fulfillment from doing so just evaporates.

There are very fun unique items in the game and those are fun to find but there just feels like way too little for how many actual unique quests you can find.

I'm kind of with you... I was loving the game to death for like the first 30 hours but once you've kind of seen the big surprising things and explored a good chunk of the world, it starts to feel a little rote. Shrines are mostly pretty simple and the rewards often mediocre, and even quests that feel like they should have major rewards are almost always a let-down in terms of that. Like the quests associated with the 3 springs just offer generic rewards, that just feels wrong. Most of the sidequest rewards are disappointing too, only once have I gotten a piece of wearable gear, and it was from a pretty generic quest to go take a picture.

I still think the game is great but there are too many shrines and not enough interesting sidequests and reward distributions. I'd rather there were a third of the shrines but they were all a bit bigger and more involved. I love the world they've created, and the game itself an awful lot, but it saddens me to say they didn't really put enough unique content in it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad this isn't a Ubisoft open-world game where the map is filled with tedious things to collect and meaningless sidequests, but I wish there was a bit more to do besides find shrines and korok seeds.

honestly, for me the reward is the puzzle that you need to solve to reveal the shrine! I love puzzle, and finding them everywhere is amazing to me! there sidequest and puzzles hidden everywhere, and a lot of them have unique way to unlock them!

you can desactivate them in the menu if you really don't want to use them

Stumbled upon
A Major Test of Strength
and
Eventide
Island. Holy shit, people like challenges are going to love these two places.
