I just can't figure out how to
get the ball into the last hole in the Mirro Shaz
trial. Its for the bonus item not for the main trial itself, and its a damn pain in the ass.

Shrine
Use a normal weapon instead of a sledgehammer for the 6th hit. 5 hits are not enough, 6 are too much so you need something in between, any ordinary sword will do it

Hammer 5 times. A weaker item once. I happened to use a trident I think. So give a spear a shot for that last hit.

OK, so why is it telling me five different directions at once at five different altitudes? I seriously have no clue what "direction" the Shrine is in here, none whatsoever. Why not just do it by where your camera is pointing, by having it only activate when moving I'm not even sure what it's based on at all. EDIT: Seriously, I have NO clue where this shrine could POSSIBLY be; I've been looking for upwards of half an hour now!

Nah, in a similar area though. Went into more details on the last page:

There was a tutorial for the sensor. I can actually find shrines very easily with the sensor. The beeping tells you that a shrine is nearby. The size of the beep circle in the center tells you how close you are to walking in the right direction.

The sensor was actually confusing for me near the dueling peaks because there were multiple shrines in close proximity. But that's the only instance so far where I was running in circles chasing after the sensor.

I don't like using the sensor at all. I just climb any mountain tops I can find and start surveying the landscape.

I love exploring too much that I pretty much only use the map and telescope for navigation.

Anyone whose watched the Dunkey video wanna say how spoilery it is? His Resident Evil 7 one literally shows the final boss so I don't exactly trust him that much.

Your question already got answered so I can just say that this is the best combat exhibition vid of this game I've seen. Not only is it hilarious but there's stuff going on here I never knew, like Moblins picking up bokoblins, Lizalfos catching the boomerang and more random stuff with the enemies. My fights are so boring and standard in comparison lol

Small little fishing tour - how Wind Waker should have been!

"Yes, I lost sight of your love letter again, for the third time. Bu-but you don't understand! I was clearing debris from the water and accidentally blew the container up. And then the second time an Octorok shot a rock at it, then last time, the god damn
Yiga Clan
showed up, and do you think I'm taking this lightly? No, I placed your letter behind a rock and fought him- nearly died, mind you, and then was going to place your letter back down into the water where it belongs, but the Octorok came back for revenge and made your letter explode. again. So throw the new one into the water and let's see how I'll mess it up this time."

I use mine for everything! It's such an under appreciated upgrade. (though I wish it had a different sound, the beep boop sound it uses gets seriously grating)

Oh hell yea! I'm glad they helped out!

Btw Kinsei gave me awesome tips for the last one

Yeah, I hope they change the sound effect.

So can anyone give me a clear, guided solution to where the shrine is:

Just east of Mount Drena which itself is east of Hyrule Forest. The big canyon seperating the grasslands and the ice area.

There's where I am, and I have 0 clue whatsoever as to where the thing is.

If you can do this for me I will be forever grateful.

Holy shit, talk about ending on a high note. No exaggeration - Hyrule Castle in this game is straight up the best area that's ever been in a Zelda game.

Don't you guys hate it when you have too many really good weapons and it becomes a struggle to pick which one to get rid of for another really good weapon, not a bad problem to have lol.

I have had to slay many Lynel today to upgrade the barbarian armor, worth it.
Also the various dye colours give slightly different skull paint patterns which is a real neat touch you could easily overlook.

This white maned Lynel near the maze in the snowy region of Hebra, geez he was a ruck and a half.

I then found a certain creature in the same area,
the stalhorse, was ecstatic to discover I could mount it and then rode off to find the nearest stable, fortunately I discovered one I'd missed close by, alas they don't take him in though it was funny to find a sidequest here specifically for said stalhorse so that was done immediately.
As I left the stable like "forget you pal! thanks for nothing!" the sun rose and my stalhorse exploded....tears.

Man I am absolutely LOVING the fact that Nintendo took the plunge into voice acting... but dammit all, probably 30+ hours in and Zelda's voice still hasn't grown on me :/

I've loved every other voice but Zelda's just doesn't sound right. I felt this way back when the Switch presentation trailer premiered and I really hoped it would grow on me, but she just sounds... off. Maybe I just don't know much about British people but she sounds like a 20-30 year old to me. Definitely hurts the illusion that she is supposed to be 16/17.

Zelda voice actress is bad because;

-The actress isn't British thus her British accent is bad because it's forced, speaking as a born and breed British.

-Nintendo was cheap and hired an actress who clearly hasn't done much voice acting, at least for video game.

- Like you said they said they hired an older actress trying to sound like a 17 year old.

All those reasons was why I was against voice acting in Zelda games because I knew that Nintendo would mess it up and they did with Zelda's English voice actress.

Me experiencing the actual breath of the wild

What I wanted to ask though, can I actually view the photos I took with the Sheikah Slate 'photo mode' in full? Or even export them? I wish there was more of a WWHD picto-box selfie mode. ): I wanna take more pics with animals and koroks without having to work the in-game camera so much.

there is a selfie mode for the shiekah slate camera. but I don't think you can easily export them. otherwise just using the system wide camera works as you seem to be doing

Yeah, people complain about weapons breaking; they don't break fast enough! I have so many good weapons that I am constantly cycling through. I literally just found this awesome
two-handed!
boomerang and had to make an excruciating choice of what weapon to drop.

Indeed. It's not that weapon durability is too harsh in this game, it's that inventory capacity is.

what

I completely disagree. I thought hyrule castle was boring and the ending boss was super anti climactic. The ending portion was so weak it hurt my opinion of the game

Lets not pretend it's just Zelda, pretty much all the VA in this game is bad. Zelda's just stands out the most because she talks so much.

It really hurts the game imo.

I can't get my amiibo to scan either in tablet mode or on my Pro controller...

I have amiibo turned on. I have the rune selected. I have the yellow pulsing circle indicating it can be summoned there. But nothing happens. The amiibo never scans.

What am I doing wrong?

Not sure if it's the reason, but did you register the Amiibo in the system settings yet? I'm not positive if it's necessary for it to work, but I did register mine before I started the game. It should be really straight forward otherwise. Can't imagine you'd be having issues with both controls so it's gotta be some other factor.

I really don't mean to sound like I'm blowing my own trumpet here because trust me, I'm a very average gamer, but both the wind and fire bosses have been an absolute doddle, almost patronisingly so. I honestly don't think either of them got a hit on me. I thought the bosses were supposed to scale in difficulty? The thunder guy definitely gave me a lot more grief.

Anyway, I think I'm ready to go try take on Ganon. How is he in terms of difficulty?

Well I solved my money (Rupee) problem. Found a guy on a snowy mountain, near Hebra Tower (top left of map) who charges 20 rupees to play 10 pin bowling with a giant snowball and a strike = 300 rupees, a spare = 100 and 9 pins = 50. You can do it as many times as you like too.

Just have warm clothing and maybe some cold resistance meals handy.

Saving for future if I need some Rupees in a rush.

Did you have the Master Sword? The bosses are a joke with that thing.

My wife really likes the adventuring and collecting aspects of this game and has enjoyed watching me play, which is very unusual for a video game.

She's been at home and apparently she tried to pick up the game herself. Here's the text message:

Omg. Was just going around cutting grass and collecting crickets and came across a huge ass monster. It was sleeping but I accidentally whistled and woke it up. Agghhh!

I closed the game and resumed parenthood

You can fight it when you get home

I love this!

The sheer open nature of Hyrule Castle is really cool, simultaneously it can make the final trip rather anticlimactic, I found most of the cool stuff after I beat Ganon

What didn't you like about that area? It was the only "dungeon" that
exemplified the same "approach it from whatever angle you can think of" freedom that exploring the rest of the game had. Hyrule Castle was so dense, with so many different entrances and paths up to the top, that it felt almost like playing a Dishonored level.

And on top of that, it felt like an actual lived in castle, rather than just a series of puzzle rooms and combat chambers strung together with a castle aesthetic.

A rare case of German dub >>>>>>>>>> English dub

I climbed up the walls because I was searching for a memory location, didn't notice I was already at the very top, climbed through a window and bam, boss fight lol.
