The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

I just completed the
desert
dungeon and got this thing called
Urbosa's Wrath? I'm playing in Spanish so I'm not sure if this is the English name lol.
The thing is, there is "x3" next to it. Does it only have 3 uses?

I'm really mad. So far the shrines have been good about having multiple solutions and not requiring any finite resources. But this one requires arrows. Not just any arrows. Regular arrows.

It was a bitch to even get to this place and now I can't even complete it. Really annoying. To add insult to injury, they don't even sell regular arrows in the closest town. Just awful design.

The same thing happened to me at this exact shrine. Takes a min or two to fast travel somewhere and get some more and travel back.. Ever since then I learned to always stock up whenever I see a vendor.

Three uses, afterwards it needs to recharge for about 15 minutes

Dungeon-related question:
How do you recharge abilities gained from dungeons (Revali's Gale, for instance), assuming it's possible to do so?

I wish they would scale down the icons of the special abilities you get. I only got two and already they are taking too much space. Playing in handheld mode all the time, but I guess it won't be any different in TV mode.

I'm going to make some story progress in this play session!

*Spends 3 1/2 hours exploring Gerudo Desert for shrines and doing side quests*

Shit.

It's on a cooldown. After enough tiem passes the abilities will recharge. Same goes for
the Master Swords "durability"
.

Having a blast with this game so far. I'm addicted to seeing the "???" pop up on items when I enter a new area. Not sure when I will ever finish this game.

I found the
master sword
without any hint or guide! Didn't even know what to expect when I entered
lost woods
... Such a rewarding experience

Yeah, after finding that some Shrines require arrows I've learned to buy arrow bundles at every opportunity. Just stock up on them. I try to have ~30 regular arrows at any given time now.

So what was everyone's way of solving the puzzle before the Thunder Plateau shrine? Because I'm not sure if I did the way you're supposed to.

I just smacked the orbs with the help of stasis and sheer sword power onto plateau.

Damn it, finally found a guy selling Ancient Shafts, I buy one. Back at lab it turns out I need three. I go back to where the guy was, long gone.

Where can I usually get/buy these?

Me finding the Master Sword in this game was fun

- Climb a huge tower that was rather difficult to do and reveal the map
- Notice two locations to the north labeled "Saria" and "Makar" and get excited because it's the Lost Woods because those are Kokiri and Korok names
- Go there and solve the neat little Lost Woods Puzzle
- Find the Master Sword in exactly the place I expected it (based on Link to the Past and Twilight Princess, where the Master Sword was in the Lost Woods)

I've never bought arrows and I've been playing non stop since Friday. Normal arrows are abundant if you play smart. You can farm them everywhere. The game rewards you for smart play and inventory management.

Sure the elemental ones are fewer, but the only one I'm usually short on is bomb arrows. Still never needed to buy any.

Edit: except for the one type that you have to.

Just beat my first Lynel, at the
top of Plymu Mountain
I think it was called. Fuck me that is probably the toughest enemy ever in Zelda, and just works well to illustrate how over the top the weapon degradation is. I went through about 6 weapons and 2 shields plus about 20 yellow hearts beating that thing. It's crazy. It has to be balanced.

There's a silver version of that enemy that the guidebook says is arguably the toughest enemy in the game. I haven't encountered that one yet.

Yeah, really loved that part. The music and atmosphere in that area were pretty good I thought.

It's just pure exploration
When I unlocked the tower I saw that weird forest with all the mist. Then I decided to fly in lol

Final preparations checklist.

...oh.

Time to storm the castle... next time!

I was similar except I saw the forest from the top of Death Mountain. I was like
I bet the Master Sword is in there.
and I was right!

Use stronger weapons and some attack buff food and you'll need two weapons. Counter him and you won't lose one shield.

Do people know that you never have to battle that Lynel to face Ruta? I found shock arrows stuck to trees all over the area. I got 24 shock arrows and left.before the Lynel noticed me sneaking around.

I knew, but why miss the great equipment Lynels can drop?
Urbosa's Fury quickly turned that particular Lynel into toast

Can you have more than one status active at a time?

I tried drinking an attack+ elixir and then some door that upped my defense, but the game only shows my defense buff?

Fighting my first Lynel and realized by I'm not as good at combat than I thought.

Bah! I will get it eventually.

I am like a spider monkey with the two, so all three must mean I can fly.

i've luckily got the set early, once you upgrade it two time, you get the set bonus
you use only half stamina for the jump when you climb, i can go literraly everywhere

I beat those lynel without urbosa, and this one is the weakest :P! The silver lynel give you some amazing things
The beast gods weapons, and a bow that let you shoot 5 arrows

No, buffs override each other. I guess it was intentional to avoid cheesing

Yeah, I'm not that good at combat either. Like, I fight some moblins, and it's obvious when they're going to do a sideways slash, or a jab, but I can never time it well at all to do a parry or side-jump in time. Same with the guardians in the test of strength shrines.

No doubt some people don't realize that, but also a lot of people are like "challenge accepted" which is part of the fun.

One thing that annoys me to no end is that the dungeon bonuses and Master Sword need to be depleted before they start to recharge.

I wonder what trigger some things in the field... I was walking around at night not far from the desert, when I go through a pass, and discover a small pond with
a good dozen of those luminous rabbit-thingies drinking... but also a luminous deer
that the camera labeled as "alpha"... I managed to take a couple pictures... I answer the phone, and 5s later, I'm dead, apparently because of thunder.

I've tried to make them appear again, no luck. Argh :)

Well, I'll come back till it happen again, I guess...

I had 70 shock arrows before even going to the Zora Domain, kinda undermined the whole thing about these being super rare. I still killed the Lynel just to see if I could do it.

You don't have to complete a shrine in order to activate its fast travel point, so I don't really understand the issue. Just warp yourself to another town, buy arrows and teleport back to the shrine. That's a whopping minute of your life.

Where do I find the silver ones? I only fought White Lynels so far.

Ok, killed the Lynel on top of Zora's domain with only losing a quarter heart. It was actually easy once I figure out their pattern and the best method of attack.

Bah! I will get it eventually.

I haven't found the pants yet but I found the bandanna and the shirt. I'm pretty sure they were both
in chests inside shrines...not sure which ones though.

I also found the helmet that goes with the
Zora armor and pants last night, it was in a sunken chest at the top of a waterfall overlooking Zora's Domain.
I guess it's safe to assume every piece of gear you find is part of a set?

Yeah, bashing the Master Sword against a rock until it stops working seems less than heroic. At least dropping a bomb at your feet to recharge the shield is somewhat amusing.

Most shrines you think need arrows can normally be done using clever bomb placements.

Not all of them though. The blue fire one definitely requires regular arrows to beat.

There are a few one off pieces of gear like earrings, circlets, and monster masks.

did you beat all four dungeons? Silver monster appears way more after that! You can find a silver lynel in the arena (just north after the great plateau), or all the way up to the north west (the big snowy plain left to the labyrinth)
