Yeah. I didn't watch much of GG and maybe I'm unlucky with the episodes I picked, but racial shit felt pretty common in them. GG's too loud for my tastes anyway, but this certainly didn't help.

It's a way to present anyone who doesn't think like they do as being paid off. They really do think like them, but someone is paying them to say otherwise because how could you not think like them? It's a way to shut down any sort of criticism, same as most insults they throw around.

Destiny has done this before. One time he talked to XJ9 from League fame who was...a complete scumbag. Destiny is a great conversationalist. He's great at talking to people who have horrid opinions, and being able to pry into them in a way not alot of people are able to from these personalities.

All I saw was him say he wasn't going to comment on GamerGate beyond believing reactionary people like Jon blatantly get their 'news' from sources like KotakuInAction and their politics are entirely formed from superficial 'SJW's attacking gaming' stories.
Then he complained about Anita inappropriately invoking patriarchy during terrorist attacks that that just broke out as a left counterpoint. I'm not really well-versed on that latter point but I didn't really see it as 'both sides are just as bad as each other'. Also if a lot of Jon's fans were watching this debate it's probably a good idea to not go too hard into that point if you want to expose just how much of an idiot their hero has become.
