There are a lot of people who go "This is just video games, I don't want to get involved with all this shit."

And I sympathize. I honestly, truly do. Some of my best friends are like this and it drives me nuts because they see how hard I work to fight against it but don't have the time, energy, or otherwise just inclination to contribute.

But...it's your community, too. Maybe the voices of people who have yet to speak up won't help - it might just lead to louder yelling overall. Who knows. But I would at least like to know it matters enough to people to speak out about it.

It's a super hard boulder to roll up hill but it doesn't get easier with less people, you know?

Going with your 3 groups of the community, I do feel largely in the middle for many reasons. Outside gaming related I have a friend who is huge for social justice, but to me the difference between extremism and fighting for your stance is a very small line. When you have one person who is very passionate about the subject it feels like you have to skirt around them as while having to avoid the opposing idealism, but you want to share your opinion and say you agree but sometimes you have a different take or view and if you don't fully agree with the adjusted view of one side you better just avoid it all together.

I feel like the middle in itself can point out the blasphemy of both sides, but don't want to say or do anything because they don't want to be the ones to tell each side their being idiots for one reason or another. Because I'm sure both sides of the issue are doing enough of that as it is.
