Iran and every country in that region is incredibly diverse and racially mixed, and there is no movement to "purify" any gene pool. Racial mixing is so common that it's nearly impossible for an entire family to have the same skin color.
The divisions in the Middle East, Noth Africa, and Asia are based on sectarian lines and have nothing to do with gene pool.
It's obviously more complicated than that and it's hard to explain to someone that doesn't live there.
I am so sick and tired of the "protect our culture" argument, I am not American, but even in my country, they use this excuse to act on their racism. "Oh no, they weren't here before us, thus they're not true citizens and they'll never be part of us!"
