Fantastic news. KF now became watchable and supportable again.

I want to be clear that this was my decision.
Translates to: forced to leave.

This was the big drama?

Jesus society got really oversensitive.

Guy cant even make a joke.

He also didn't want to go to PAX after this which Greg said was against the company's wishes. I think it's fairly obvious the other guys weren't too happy with these distractions and they obivously don't agree with them. Saying it was just about him making that one joke is painting a very distorted picture.

Good, dude was detrimental to the KF community these past couple of years it seemed. Godspeed and stay in politics.

I just feel bad for Greg, he tried to settle everything, but I think this has been brewing for a while, I actually wondered if he would leave when he stopped doing the morning shows.

I wish Colin the best, he hasn't seemed too happy on the shows lately, so i'm not too shocked to see him move on.

Sad, but for the best. Colin's become a troll, which is an absolute waste of potential. Been following Greg and co since episode one of Beyond, and I never would have expected him to get this bad.

i really hope it's not over this tweet but has been something more thought out with better reasons.

The rest of the crew seem tired of having to deal with/apologize for the fact that their friend can't recognize that he is an insufferable asshole. That shit has to start wearing on people, I would imagine. Probably a mutual decision that was best for everyone involved.

All of this without a "Hey let's say goodbye to Colin and wish him luck" type of episode/video/anything... pretty insane.

Yep. Everyone is extremely aggressive now. Any joke you make will ruin your life these days.
In case you haven't noticed, people are kind of on edge right now. They don't want to support anyone pushing these views, because this views have power - and are dangerous. Zero tolerance is a very rational position to have right now.

He'll be fine. Just look at how many people agree with his idiotic views. Shit, you don't have to look far, plenty of gaffers support his bigotry.

Yeah, dude is gonna make bank with his new martyr positioning and Gamergater-lites chomping at the bit for more of his anti-PC gaming takes. Now that Milo is down, there's a potential opening for someone in that space.

This is crazy but the writing was on the wall even before his small and insignificant joke that everyone got riled up about. You could see the body language, you could see it in his face. Colin was tired of gaming. Hopefully whatever he does next is as successful as KF is and more.

Colin I was a fan, then I turned on you just after the election and I came around to defend you again this past weekend. If you're reading this, thank you. Thank you for all the articles, all the podcasts, all the wealth of info you have provided and the entertainment for these past 9 years.

KF will reach newer and greater heights without you, but you were too real man and I respect that. You were the oddball in the group and I loved that. Now it just won't be the same. Less analysis, less insight, less thought and with Greg, Nik and Tim probably more parroting. I didn't and still don't agree with you on everything, politics mostly. But I don't begrudge you for having the viewpoints you do. I don't run to a safe space to hear only the stuff that reinforces what I believe. Refuse to live in an echo chamber like other folks. I can get behind the mantra of America first but not support Trump.

I wish you the best pal. From one New Yorker to another. Peace Brotha.

do you think him quitting KF is an overreaction on his part? I mean, I feel like he gave into the pressure by quitting. On the other hand, quitting now is a good idea because this whole drama has probably elevated his status, and will probably help in whatever future endeavor he enters in next.

He gave the group a much needed tone of contrast imo.

Disagreed with a lot of his views ,but he was very entertaining.

Its kinda sad.

Damn, what a shame. I've been wondering though if this was coming for a few months now since he took a step away from Colin and Greg Live and he's been chasing down more personal things.

I'm going to miss the bantz between Greg and him on PS I Love You.

Sad if this is truly the end of the "Greg and Colin" playstation podcasts. They are and forever will be, my favorite podcasts.

He made a joke that he knew would offend a shit ton of people and then doubled down on it when it, surprise, offended a shit ton of people, including his coworkers

And I really don't buy the "it's just a joke" argument. The fact he was willing to make that kind of "joke" in the first place shows what kind of person he is, which in my opinion is someone who enjoys offending people and I find that shit gross tbh.

Blowout from his tweet is probably just the last straw. He's been drawing the wrong kind of attention to them for a while now.

I will say that I used to love Colin's voice as a commentator of the games industry but recently he went too far with his overly trolly shit, and probably long before but I don't pay much attention to twitter because it's an awful place where rational discourse goes to die a painful death. it's a shame too because I think as far as Kinda Funny goes no one else provides the type of analysis that Colin does. that aspect will be missed. however as of recent he has just gotten out of hand. like seriously out of hand. intentionally being an asshole because "lol outrage culture". he can go fly a kite in regards to all that shit.

regardless I wish him well in the future and I hope he learns from this experience and grows from it. I'd love a timeline where he could talk about video games again and not be such a childish asshole who gets lulz from kicking over someone's sandcastle, metaphorically speaking.

Did not see this coming, even after they addressed it twice and he still wouldn't let it go.

I like Colin but his heart has not been in this for a while now and it was painfully obvious. Hope Greg and Tim can keep it going as front men.

Happy the other Kinda Funny guys dont have to be saddled with his bullshit anymore and people can feel OK supporting Greg and Co without supporting this dirt pile.
