Some please explain how I can make a fire with wood and a flint. I've tried a few times.

I take the wood out of my inventory and set it on the ground
I set the flint on top of it, it usually rolls slightly off the wood should definitely be close enough. I take out a metal weapon (wood cutters axe for example) and smash the flint.
No fire. :(

I have this problem too, especially if I'm trying to light a fire under a pot. Sometimes I'll resort to making a fire next to the pot and then transferring the fire with a torch.

Personally I use fire chuchu jelly instead of flint. I got like 40 of those.

Wow, I never thought of this. I'll have to try it.

Shrine in Lanayru region
Yo I just unlocked a shrine by riding a fucking deer over a particular spot.
this game craycray.

I actually was going to look up hints to this imminently, because
Stal creatures weren't working,
and now I'm having dawning realization, I'm not even mad, lol.

I found a giant
sword-shaped rock
in the mountains with
a golden claymore
. Am I going to need this for a questline later, or can I just use it up?

What are some recipes for some moderate or higher cold resistance potions?

2 or 3 of any cold resistant ingridient.

ie 2 spicy pepper +meat, sunshrooms + hyrule shrooms, etc. Just make any dish that make sense but add ingredients that add the desired effect.

But doesn't that just make low resistance?

But doesn't that just make low resistance?

I cant test right now but generally just adding 2 or 3 of the key ingredient makes it more effective.

You can also cook under the blood moon get guaranteed critical cooking.

Also clothes and food effect stack. So using anti cold clothes and eating for cold at the same time shoukd work.

Ending spoilers:

Executive producer: Tatsumi Kimishima & Satoru Iwata

Got me ;_;

Gonna mull for a bit on how I feel of the game overall.

Can you not get more than one costume piece a day from amiibo or is that just my luck? Don't think I've ever gotten two in one day and not sure if that's the game locking it or if it's rng

Final time: 80 hours. Not too bad for a launch title with a lot of content still on the way!

The endgame really quickly goes from super cool to kind of mediocre to basically a fart in the wind. It's actually a small miracle how right Wind Waker got its entire ending, I guess they just can't think of a good way to top it. Right now I want to say this is my favorite Zelda but time will tell.
Wind Waker's ending doesn't even make sense. Yeah, they were trying to set up Phantom Hourglass but the reasoning behind it is pretty terrible.

My only real big compliant is how expensive stuff costs when generating large amounts of Rupees isn't exactly easy or quick. Just discovered a cool secret clothing spot in Gerudo but everything is expensive. I'm not walking around with 800+ Rupees. And even if I was.... that's all going towards the super expensive 3,000 house dream.

BUT WAIT! I GOTTA PAY A GUY 600 RUPEES JUST TO ENTER GERUDO. LIKE COME ON.

That's why I literally laughed when I saw the Sheik costume in Kakariko village. I'm like... "Does the game honestly think I can afford this so early?"

I initially thought so too but generating a ton of money becomes easier. Tougher monsters, better drops to make elixirs (sell them off for 100-250 each) + more ores to mine (sell some off). Becomes easy to walk around with a few thousand rupees at all times.

When it comes to pure gameplay I'd say the Minish Cap climax is better.

Labyrinth question -
Is there an underground room in the South/Goron Labyrinth, like the square one in the north? Got a sick Guardian repelling crown from the latter.

My first time up Mt Lanaryu surprised the heck out of me because the warm doublet didn't keep me warm enough. I wasn't super prepared for everything I needed to do up there and ran out of warming elixirs... ran out and on a whim decided to equip a great flamesword in my inventory and it WORKED to keep me warm!

There's a floor beneath on the
labyrinth island?
I never saw it. Kind of want to go back now. I tried to be thorough but it was getting kind of hard keeping track of where I'd been!

This one doesn't require you to actually go through the maze, just complete the shrine.

Yep.
I noticed it after exiting the shrine in the middle, maybe it only appears once youve beat the shrine, but a small square hole in the floor appears. Big room underneath. Again this could just be the north Akkala labyrinth one, not sure yet

Oh my god, standing in front of an enemy with a
mask
, so he will not recognize you, is probably the most adorable thing ever. Almost breaks my heart to suddendly attack them :(

Don't feel bad. Stand around for a bit and they'll attack you regardless.

Holy crap. Thanks, I just went down there and
GOT GREETED BY LIKE 20 GUARDIANS WHAT THE FUCK

In Vah Naboris how do I get the
seal in the head? Hate spinning puzzles and cheesed the dungeon with the ability from the Rito dungeon and got one with thinking. But I don't know how to get the one in the head and it is the last one.

Wind Waker's ending doesn't make sense because it was ruined by Spirit Tracks, but otherwise it's perfect and better than anything else. Right down to the credits music and presentation. I skipped BotW's credits hardcore, but I want to stick around for Wind Waker's every time.
You're gonna have to explain this one.

... I just wished they respawned or appeared outside of the Shrines so I could get better at parrying and activating the flurry rush moves.

All of the various "Test of Strength" Shrines
will respawn their guardians with each blood moon. Great way to restock on Ancient weapons and practice!

Side quest for Fronk in Zora's Domain.

with no real indication of where his wife could be. Except that the quest is called A wife washed away. So I decided to swim around in the East reservoir Lake but so far no sign. Without spoiling the location altogether, where do I start?

You're gonna have to explain this one.

The King of Hyrule wanted Link and Tetra to go and create a new kingdom because Hyrule's time was over. They went and called the new kingdom Hyrule.

Hint:
Being washed away implies currents.

Slightly bigger hint:
Maybe try following some of the rivers downstream.

I mean...how is that hard to follow? Just because the new place is called Hyrule, doesn't mean the old Hyrule's time wasn't over.

Really though?
I've hung out with gangs of pure Lizalfos for comfortable lengths of time without much trouble, but I haven't been measuring it. Only Lynels I've been caught out by them, but the description mentions they're clever.

Any tips for catching lizards or butterflys quickly? I barely have any critters to make elixers. They always show up randomly and I never react fast enough to catch them. They disappear by the time I get close.

Oh my god a Yiga Clan master just spawned in a thunderstorm and IMMEDIATELY got hit by lightning. What the fuckkk.

LOL. I just imagined him going "hahaha" and then lightning strike right after. Hilarious imagery.

Some things get carried away in the river till the very end

Decided to explore Hateno some more. An NPC asked me to follow her behind one of the buildings to supposedly "tug my tunic."
It was just a Shrine quest.

Trying to figure out how to deal with Death Mountain. I've got the
Fireproof elixirs from the one girl, but where do I find the fireproof armor? I've read to look at the stable at the base of the mountain but I must've missed it.

You get the elixirs at the stable. You get the armor at Goron City.

Yep.
I was at the spiral sand peninsula in front of a Moblin, he sniffed me for a while, kept looking at me, roared at the sky and swung at me. An approaching Lizalfo from the water may have tipped him off but the ruse was up either way.

There's a side quest while you are going up the road to Goron City that you can get a piece of fire-resistant armor. You need to catch 10 Fire Resistant Lizards.

Adding to this,
if you get 10 salamanders for the guy in the little mining camp right before the city he'll give you the fireproof tunic. Saves about 700 from the full set I think.
