I'm one of the good guys, trust me. I'm legitimately impressed by the new Poke offense and not looking forward to playing in Stillwater.

There are no good dirt burglars.

You are a liar.

Last season is irrelevant. We were literally down a coach every week and then figuratively down coaches with Allen and Amato. Andrews had checked out years before and didn't know how to scheme for today's game. He also refused to play younger, more talented underclassmen which fortunately is not the case for Stoops.

Ponder will throw for 350 yards and 3 scores. Landry Jones' lunch will bs eaten. Murray is the only scary part of their team. Their Stoops has said they'll kick away from Reid but I expect him to get an opportunity at some point and make them pay.

I picked them to win by 3-10 before the season started but I'm not so sure now. We looked better than I expected and they obviously looked innumerably worse than expected. I think we knock em off by 2 scores now.

It appears that it didn't take long for Noles to get their swagger back.

Obviously rooting for UGA to win :D

Wow @ all the people picking South Carolina to win though. GAF hates UGA due to hc2/h2c confirmed :lol

$15 well spent.
Naw. They just grabbed an old bathroom rug and some broken down tackling dummies. At most they spent 3 bucks on that patch.

Oh, I forgot the beer. Yeah, 15 bucks.

Named Richmond.

I hope Ole Miss equally impresses when they unveil their new offering, whenever that may be.

Actually, that is how Meier talks every season
before the inevitable stumble to an 8-5 (4-4) record.

I can't remember him being this cocky in years.

If we lose to Georgia, there will be a serious meltdown in Columbia. People on the radio are saying it's Spurrier's biggest game of his tenure. While I disagree on that, it's still pretty important seeing how some people think we can make a run for the SEC East.

why are we ranked? GODAAMNIT

You forgot to bold it. That was half of the obnoxiousness.

Also, as the week goes along, I'm getting more and more optimistic about Tennessee's chances Saturday night. Am I setting myself up for disappointment? Probably... but I'm kinda used to it by now.

Hope he does well for ya. He did as well as could be expected for us considering he was a true freshman playing in the wrong system.

True, I should have done that for the full effect.

I think you are probably setting yourself up for disappointment after the game that Oregon had this weekend and with Tennessee being in such dire straits. I'd expect the worst, personally, but be happy surprised if they pulled it off. You'll notice in my pick 'em that I picked Oregon to win so I personally would not put money down on Tennessee, but I don't have orange colored glasses either.

Don't be surprised when FSU stumbles out of Norman after a double-digit loss on saturday. The Noles will have OU's full, undivided attention after their wake up call against Utah State.

There's just something about Norman, though. It seems like every time in the last 3-4 years that they were supposed to get a tough fight, they win by a ton. OSU last year, Texas Tech two years ago, Mizzou three years ago (although that one was reasonably close), Miami two years ago....

Yeah, I'd feel better about FSU's chances if the game wasn't in Norman.

You've been on Warchant too much lately. :lol

I just don't have faith in FSU's defense, no matter the QB it's facing. And the offense was only "OK" against good defenses last season. I read the spread is 8pts right now...I'll be happy if FSU can keep it that close.

See but FSU is supposed to look good against FCS teams though. I mean, I'm glad FSU wasn't looking ahead like OU was, but I don't put much stock in a (great) performance against a team like Samford.

Should be good game regardless....GO NOLES

Oh this statement is going to come back and bite you in the ass, and it will be glorious. Can't wait.

I am thinking Virginia, they always seem to punch way above their weight at least once a season.

I don't mind if we lose. I expected to at the beginning of the season and it obviously doesn't effect us all that much in the end. I just feel good about the team and the program which is awesome.

Oh you say that now, but in a couple weeks, if you beat OU, you are going to be talking about bigger and grander things. Then you trip over a sprinkler like Maryland or NC State, and you don't want to leave your bedroom for 2 weeks.

Fuck KState, by the by.

So, rumor right now is that NCAA is suspending AJ Green for 4 games. Very heavily still in the rumor mill at this point, we'll have to wait and see what happens. If this is true, FUUUUUUUU. Georgia could/can still win in Columbia without him, but he would/will take quite a bit of pressure off Murray since they would have to drop additional defenders to double cover him. If he's not there, they can put more effort into stopping the run and force Murray to make those throws.

Edit: Someone make up their minds! Scout has him playing against SCAR.

Edit Edit: Looks like it's official. Per NCAA he's got to sit out 4 games and has already repaid $1000 to charity that he made from selling it to "an individual who meets the NCAA definition of an agent."

Message board rumor I heard the other day was that one of his parents lost their job and money was tight. Take that for what it's worth.

Could be, I didn't hear that.. Shame that they're being so stiff on this when Darius got off with 2 games and Tennessee players hospitalized a cop and got "internal discipline" (ie running extra laps). Oh well, still going to be a heck of a game Saturday.

Edit: UGA is appealing the length of the suspension of course.

If it's any consolation, we'll probably be without TE Wes Saunders again on Saturday. Still awaiting word on CB Chris Cullver and OL Jarriel King. That's three starters up in the air for the Gamecocks...

Right, I heard about Saunders. Your OL is the main suspect, that and how erratic Garcia is. If they can't protect him from our blitzes, I see him having a rough day. He doesn't play well at all when he gets pressured, either. We'll have Ealey back as well as Tavarres King, who was our #2 receiver. He'll be back and Kris Durham will be starting in the #1 slot. He caught a couple TD"s this past weekend and looked really good.

I don't think it's fair to punish our players for the off-duty cop slipping and falling onto one of their fists and then rolling into their feet. It was totally out of their hands.

Wait, that's not how it happened? News to me!

Also heard the same rumor about Green's dad losing his job, but the one I read involved a little help by an agent to get by until he was back on his feet, separate from the jersey incident. Doubt anything comes of it, seems like UGA and Green have been pretty proactive dealing with this issue.

The OL still needs some work, but Garcia took zero sacks despite seeing a variety of blitz packages from USM. His ability to identify blitzes and handle pressure looked much better than last season, even though it wasn't against an SEC team. I'm most concerned about the inside run game against UGA.

They'll likely have the same gameplan for SCAR as SCAR will have against UGA. Pack the box and pressure the QB. That will involve a lot of strange blitzes that Grantham will be throwing at him that they didn't show any of last week, because they didn't need to. Not giving up any sacks last week is definitely a good sign for SCAR's line, but it always comes with that caveat of who they were playing. Same thing with UGA, they played great last week against Louisiana-Lafayette, but it's Louisiana-Lafayette. This is the first real test for either team and it could likely decide who wins the East.

I wonder what old Steve Spurrier has planned for us. He will surprise us somehow with his offense.
Georgia has to keep Lattimore in check. If we can keep him under 100 yards, or even better would be under 75 yards, we might have a chance. We also have to pressure Garcia, he gets rattled easily.
