Not if you are one.
He should stop making New Yorkers look bad.
I'm from Brooklyn (real Brooklyn mind you, none of that gentrified ish) and he ain't making me look bad.

Where has this idea come from that you can't call somebody out for being shitty. I feel like it's the new go to defense for saying racist things or being a bigot.
He has also managed to thank a load of people publicly about the support he has got yet not once that I have seen thanked the rest of the kf crew. It's important to note that he's consistently made it clear time and time again that he has no ill-will against any of the Kinda Funny guys, and that he wishes them all the success in the world. The ridiculous trolls that keep downvoting every Kinda Funny video are total buffoons.
I don't agree with Colin on much but reading this thread one thing he is right on is how awful people can be on both sides.

Trump's America
Witch hunt!
Even Greg said he believed Colin tweet was mean-spirited. Why would he defend a friend that is in the wrong?
Some of you guys have this romanticized idea of friendship. Friendship isn't loyalty without question.

All these conservative cuck snowflakes being triggered into safe spaces.I wonder what the overlap is between people who use "SJW" as a pejorative and "trigger" sarcastically?
Libertarian/conservative snowflakes!
Man the thing that's gotten popular that I really dislike especially since Trump came into the picture is that false equivalency is now seen as an acceptable logical argument.
You totally missed the point. Greg can disagree with the Tweet but still be obligated to say that just because of the Tweet, Colin is not an actual bigot by a 10 year bond. Greg would've never been as successful as he was without Colin, especially in fostering that core Beyond audience and all members of that audience got, me being one of them, was the sound of silence.
I call it 'BothSideism'
Pair this with the golden mean fallacy and you have a wonderful ballgame
Looks like there's a decent amount of behind the scenes stuff that went down, Colin pretty much hinted at that. I'd love to hear the whole story, but at the same time it sounds like a case of 'nonya business'.

It certainly isn't. It also isn't always the second someone does something wrong they're out the door, friendship over and fuck them. Unless it's incredibly serious, possibly direct harm or something so unforgivable.
Have you ever causally read an advice thread on GAF about family/friends or work colleagues that might have made a mistake or possibly have an iffy political or social stance? Nuance is lost on some people. It's straight to dial nuclear the second someone has a bit of a social disagreement.
I honestly don't know how anyone could be friends with some posters on here. You'd literally need to be a clone. 100% the same. Life is full of social landmines and friends and family erupting in disagreements. You tend to take the overall package of a person into consideration before catapulting them into the sun never to speak to them again and hold a hater boner till the day you're dead.
Greg called Colin out, Colin might disagree, but that doesn't mean Greg hates Colin now, Colin hates Greg and everyone hates everyone. Greg's lived with Colin, he'll know what he's like. It was most likely a combo of yes, calling him out, but also trying to calm down some of the flames of the internet losing its collective mind.
I have formed my own opinion on Colin and my opinion on him gets lower and lower.Look he is just telling his side of the story, and you need to watch the interview. And form your own opinion, stop this "lets gang up together and we need to destroy Colin" mentality.
Well the things he's been saying and doing are indefensible and I hope they are telling him he's being an asshole. Colin leaving KF is probably the best thing for it.And they will defend you when people accuse you of being an asshole in your entirety.
I remember when Greg used the term "real musicians" while comparing people who submit PS I Love You XOXO songs that they personally created to career musicians at some point, without really meaning anything nefarious. He kept the statement in the show instead of editing it out, but he came out ahead of the show with a statement saying he apologizes in advance, because "that was a shitty thing to say that I didn't truly mean". It made all the difference. I wonder if Colin thinks doing that is harmful in some way.
I think that's a simple omission. If someone directly talked to Greg publicly while calling Colin a "complete sexist bigot", I'm sure he would've defended him.
I think leaving is actually the loyal thing to do if you're goal is to cut the cancer (in this case himself) out to save the show.
The disloyal thing though is that he couldn't take ten seconds out of his day to call off his rabid fans from dislike bombing his old team and instead takes those seconds tweeting to stoke the flames some more causing further divide.
So loyal.
Why is that his responsibility? Sure I don't agree with those rabid fans dislike bombing, or any dislike bombing period, but I don't think its "disloyal" for him not to take action.
Also I don't believe for a second that he didn't mean what he said after that video. But you know people grow and change. Do you still speak with every single person you've considered a "closest friend" over the years? Impossible. Just because he's a sort of public figure doesn't mean he should be chastised for this, regardless of whether you agree/disagree with his viewpoints.

You know what my friends and I do? If someone says or does something that the other considers wrong or shitty we don't pussyfoot around. We tell each other straight up and then because we're friends we consider each other's feelings, and through introspection think about our own behavior and change if it's warranted.
Do you feel like Colin has done this?
Also what do you mean the second he messed up? Did Colin suddenly just change yesterday or something?
Yes all those horrible intolerant people who just can't stand it when people belittle the struggles of minorities, women, and all-around rational folks
It's his responsibility because he is the one responsible for his fanbase being shitty in the first place. He never did anything to stop his fanbase from attacking others but he should have. Why is that his responsibility? Sure I don't agree with those rabid fans dislike bombing, or any dislike bombing period, but I don't think its "disloyal" for him not to take action.
I think a lot of folks here might have difficulty finding someone to play Four Swords with.I honestly don't know how anyone could be friends with some posters on here.

It was most likely a combo of yes, calling him out, but also trying to calm down some of the flames of the internet losing its collective mind. As I framed it earlier this has erupted/spilled over into the internet culture war more than anything. Projection galore, people hating other people and taking opportunities to air their own personal grievances off the back of Colin and take pot shots at others who don't agree with them. I seriously doubt anyone really gives a shit this much about Colin. Half the people involved probably don't watch KF or even care about it.
I'm surprised he didn't just edit it out... That's what I would have done.
There are different ways you can tackle something like that. There are grown up ways and there are not so much grown up ways. Celebrating a guy more or less having to quit his job and getting constantly harassed and ridiculed for having a difference of opinion.
He has already been "defeated" yet still lots of people for some reason still have to pile on him for what? You got him off a show that you did not have to watch or agree with what he said and now he will talk probably only to people who agree with him yet still everybody follows his every move for a chance to throw more shit on him. Why?
It does not matter if you hurt/belittle a minority a majority or in this case a single individual doing so with anger only proves you are as bad as the ones you are accusing of the same.
Im gonna take a wild guess and say they have told Colin multiple times behind the scenes to cut his shit out and try to actually be a better person and Colin didnt take too kindly to that. Self reflection doesn't seem like something Colin is capable of.

Ah yes, both sides are bad argument where one side is harassing and trying to rid the game industry of women and people of color by harassing, doxxing and death threats, while the other side just wants to make the games they want to make.
Toooootally fair and equal./s

Is this what Colin is doing?
He mentioned an "on camera" conversation with someone on twitter so yeah imminent I'd guess. I wonder if he makes the spare bedroom his new studio?Colin: "I'm going to be very public. You have not seen the last of me."
YouTube show incoming?

He's basically pulling a Milo. Given how many right-wing gamergate sites are out there, I'm sure he'd easily rally those people into paying him to make videos complaining about snowflakes in the game industry. He left KF of his own volition and was compensated in doing so. He is literally the architect of his own demise in this context. He said a bunch of dumb stuff as a public facing individual representing a company and brand. The outcome there is always the same. How is he a victim at all?
How is any of this hurting Colin anyway? He's a nobody and, in the end, will likely wind up with a much larger platform and audience thanks to this because there's always a spot for someone willing to bash PC/outrage culture and such.
Please stop trying to equivocate people being critical of dumb stuff Colin has said with some type of persecution. It's not persecution at all. If anything, it's the exact expression of market forces he praises.
I think a lot of folks here might have difficulty finding someone to play Four Swords with.
Nope, some of his favorite games of all time are Nintendo games.Isn't this the guy who essentially desliked any and all Nintendo games ?
