Is this the first time Modern Family has gone sub-2.0?
No, it hit 1.9 last week as well.

Is 0.8 bad for the NBC?Powerless and The Catch making people run for the hills.
I doubt tracking can really accurately account for everyone who goes to watch the games at Buffalo wild wings or a casino, for example.I thought March Madness was much more popular.
It probably won't pull in bigger ratings until the sweet 16 or too 8. The early rounds, people don't care that much.I thought March Madness was much more popular.
Is 0.8 bad for the NBC?
What should a show receive on NBC to be considered well received?
Powerless was a repeat, no?

Modern Family is out of ideas. It's doesn't have the same character interaction it had in the first 5 seasons.
I pretty much bailed on it after S3 I think.

California's revamped tax incentives program is paying off.
The film commission's expanded initiative is wrapping up its second year by announcing that four television series will be relocating to California from other states a record number for the state. The Affair and The OA will move from New York and Legion and Lucifer will relocate from Vancouver.
I totally forgot that Snowfall got picked up for series. The state's latest allocation round reserves tax credits for 15 projects total, leaving 11 up for grabs once the four relocating series are accounted for. Those other shows that snatched up the credits include HBO's new Alan Ball dramedy Here, Now and Amy Adams starrer Sharp Objects, along with Law & Order: True Crime, Messiah and an untitled Seth MacFarlane project.
In addition, two recurring series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and forthcoming Snowfall and four pilots Behind Enemy Lines, Mayans MC, S.W.A.T. and The Get qualified for the program.
Looks like the decision to make FXX the comedy channel is working out for them.'Legion,' 'The Affair' Among Four TV Series Relocating Production to California

FX has a pretty healthy drama slate going forward, in terms of size:
American Crime Story (Katrina, Versace)
American Horror Story
The Americans (ending 2018)
Fargo
Feud (Diana/Charles)
Legion
Mayans MC (would be shocked if it didn't get a series order)
Pose
Snowfall
The Strain (ending 2017)

People, we need to talk about Iron Fist. Because something equally stupid to this:
![]()
happens in the first episode. (mild spoilers for Marvel's Enter the Ninja follows)
Our main protagonist with his distinctive hair and shabby clothes is being chased by bad dudes, he seeks refuge in Chinatown where there obviously is Chinese New Year's celebrations going on with a dragon and the works.(which in itself considering the hubub about the show and cultural representation is just. This is what you went with? Really!?)
To hide himself, Danny with the distinctive hair and shabby clothes puts a mask on his face which lets him blend in with the crowd losing his pursuer.
The pursuer who has been chasing him from behind.
The pursuer who knows how his clothes look.
The pursuer who knows how his hair looks.
Putting a mask on his face solves this.
If that wasn't enough the show makes sure that the pursuer gets really close to Danny and at that point he has to be blind or have some other deficiency to not be able to spot him.
To cap it all off Danny escapes for a bit and then ambushes the pursuer by jumping down behind him (still wearing the mask), at which point the pursuer instinctively knows who he is.
My mouth was just agape at the entire thing. How did anyone okay this? Any of this?
This is not even touching on the myriad of problems which plagues the first episode.
Any defence of this show is just beyond me, it's garbage. Not bland, not meh. Garbage.
Okay I realise I should polish this up a bit and post it in the OT, but to make this more relevant to this thread;
This isn't getting cancelled, now is it?
Can we at least hope for a showrunner change or do we think Netflix can live with a negative critical reception if the metrics are still on the up and up?

- Metacritic put up a review page for all the pilots.Any impressions on Oasis? Sounds interesting. (there's already a thread for Mrs. Maisel, which is the other one I'm interested in)

I live in Sweden, do you know how hard it is to get hold of crack here?just smoke crack and go to bed.
just smoke crack and go to bed.
Not sensible at all.Sounds like the sensible choice. I'll watch almost anything superhero and I'm steering completely clear of Iron Fist. The reviews were simply too damn bad.
For people who don't get the reference.just smoke crack and go to bed.
Why are we acting like crack is hard to come by?
Get some cocaine, cut it with baking soda, and cook it down.
Bam. Iron Fist. I mean crack.
So the new Anne is very... British looking. Lots of natural lighting that doesn't turn PEI into scenery porn, Anne is not a cartoon (which is funny given that the Anne I probably remember most, outside of the novels, is the anime version), although in a modern context she feels like a manic pixie dream girl that would grow up to be Jess in New Girl, and just the over all tone of it feels fairly subdued.

Everyone else on the island is extremely dry while Anne is so talkative and expressive. I found it instantly charming though, the contrast works really well. Almost every scene where Anne talks to someone for the first time had me cracking up. I live close enough to the Canadian border to get City TV and CBC, so I either have to watch this live or wait for Netflix.
What are the plans for this show? Is it a limited series or are they going to make more cause of the Netflix deal?
just realised there still isnt a date for Rick and Morty S3
and now im sad![]()
The Big Bang Theory renewed for two seasons. Zimbabwe me if old

Yeah, it's fine. It's funny because this is CBC's third major drama series this year (it makes me wonder where all this money for shows came from).Everyone else on the island is extremely dry while Anne is so talkative and expressive.
