... I spent like 2 hours in Vah Ruta =/

They are shorter that a traditional dungeon from previous games but since I didn't expect this game to have them I was not bothered.

The other Divine Beasts are a little more complicated too.

Ruta is the easiest, and simplest of them all.

They get better, in my opinion.

That's good to hear that they get better. I'll probably stop doing them for now, and just spend time on other things.

Just completed everything with Kass and the shrines surrounding Rito Village, and wow.

After I finished the last Kass riddle, I checked his old perch at Washa's Bluff again and found the note in the diary indicating he had just returned to Rito Village to rejoin his family. I had also just finished the shrine with the five sisters and the salmon meunière. Now, it was special enough already when I found the five sisters and the accordionist playing and singing the Dragon Roost theme by the Rito Village shrine. But it was also my luck to get there right at sundown—at at the stroke of 9pm, see all the children cheerfully disperse after a joyous evening of music-making.

I'm at 113 shrines and didn't think the game had enough left in it unseen to deliver a moment that would rank among my favourites from the whole experience, but it did.
(And that was before I asked him to play the last song.)

The exact same thing happened to me with around the same amount of shrines too. lovely moment.
Kass jams pretty well with the village music too.

Is the shrine quest where you have to stand
on a platform without and armour and under a blood moon
broken or did I just misunderstand it?

I came across the quest after
a good amount of time had passed since the last blood moon
so I figured
I'd just camp on the spot with a fire and wait it out
, but the
first night
triggered the activation of the Shrine with
no blood moon in sight
. Was it the
fire on the platform
that did it or something else?

It only needs to be the evening
of the blood moon
. It triggered at 7pm for me (that's when you wake up if you sleep to the evening).
I actually waited to see it and it popped up around 10-11 pm. You probably went into the shrine and came out after the blood moon animation

I can't see the bottom part, but from the top, I can see that you're missing one in Hebra.

Edit: My mistake. Can't clearly see the top either. Looks like you need to post where it clearly shows the top and bottom.

I'll upload more later but I got the corner ones already.

Latest issue of Dutch magazine Power Unlimited just came out and they gave this 100 percent. They are counted on MC, so it will probably be added later.

Also curious what Games TM will give it.

That's getting quite insane, 60th 100% then, talk about unprecedented.

Also I'm missing the review from RPGamer, wonder what they do with their lifes not reviewing this masterpiece...

I finished the game and am going back doing other quests and upping my gear. I am at 59 shrines. How the hell haven't I seen more :( If I have been that much around the game.

how do i solve the rock puzzle here for a korok seed?

Regarding falling stars...

Occasionally I will hear a wooshing sound when exploring the world. It's a swift shwoosh noise. Is this the sound of a shooting star overhead?

There have been several times where I've heard that sound and immediately run for high ground to take a look, but I've never seen anything. But there have also been times where I have seen the shooting star and never found the pillar of light indicating where it's landed.

How long did you spend in the starting area? I'm just about 3 hours into the game now. Have only done 1 shrine. I've just been exploring and cooking. Found the recipe for the Old Man and he gave me the cold resist top! So I guess I can go back to that area near the beginning that was too cold.

I get the feeling this game won't be holding my hand and I like that. Exploring is so much fun and exciting. In other games it can feel like a chore. I just want to see everything so I'm taking my time to check every thing I see.

I have even set the UI to pro mode. Usually I can't enjoy an open world game without the UI but I didn't miss it at all. I started off with it on normal but then turned on pro. A bit later when I was hunting I remembered there was a little noise indicator before that wasn't there anymore. I'll be keeping it on pro so all I see is my hearts.

Time for sleep now but can't wait to play tomorrow. I've never been so happy to be unwell! I can spent more time playing now I'm off work. This game reminds me of my experience of Witcher 3. I wasn't sure if I was gonna like it but I was interested from what I had saw pre release. I hesistated paying full price for it. I bought a Wii U just for Zelda and worried I might not like it. However about 10 hours into Witcher 3 I knew I loved it...I'm getting that exact feeling again except I'm only 3 hours in. Witcher 3 is currently my most played game of all time and I wonder if Zelda will beat it. Usually I don't replay games but I know I will definitely be buying this again when I get a Switch.

I wish I could erase my memory and be where you're at again. Soak it all in!

Yeah I loved the ending to Kass's whole series of quests. I hope he becomes one of the Zelda series' recurring side characters.

No,
enemies in the overworld "upgrade" over the course of the game and now most Lynels are White and Silver for me now. Actually nearly impossible to find Red and Blue ones now. The coliseum might just be the earliest place they appear?
I hope those Lynels are more likely to drop their guts upon defeat.

So I've beaten my fourth and last Divine Beast. My order was: 1) Vah Ruta, 2) Vah Rudania, 3) Vah Naboris, 4) Vah Medoh. I didn't really like Vah Ruta, but the other three were amazing. It's just a shame they're so short (30-ish minutes tops) and pretty easy, though.

Anyway, I'm not heading out to Hyrule Castle yet. I'm going to keep exploring, finding shrines, and doing side quests, maybe get some better gear along the way.

Game of the generation so far right here.

Well, finished all the Kaas songs and wow... the way they handled the end of his journey was really touching - I loved how it was presented (especially musically). I won't lie: I definitely got goosebumps. Magnificent!

And I love how he is now accompanying the Rito Village music theme - it was already probably my favourite piece of music in the game and this version only topped it! :')

I was about 4 hours in the Great Plateau.

I didn't really linger long since I'd already played it at E3. I'm sure I'll go back after I beat the main quest to go Korok hunting/sightseeing and find all kinds of great stuff that I missed.

About to solve my very last Kaas Song Puzzle. Loved hearing his song! :')

I had no idea he did anything for you and began ignoring him at stables. He always gave you background story via cutscene of the established Zelda lore. Never even knew he gave you shrine hints!

I'm going to go find him now!

Does Kass automatically prompt you after you do all his stuff?
I never actually followed up with him after doing the shrines, I just bounced.

What is your strategy for searching for shooting stars?

Climb up to a mountain at night and scan the horizon? Does that even work? (can you see them from far away?)

Also, does anyone know if they interact with blood moons? Like only one per blood moon? Or is it more like one per night?

What I do is, I fast travel to the twin peaks Shrine at night (when I'm not busy ingame) 11pm'ish and stay there untill 3 am. It's fun lol

There are enough non-random star fragments to fully upgrade the reward.

1.
Given to you by an NPC near the Outskirt Stable
2.
Get a dog to bring you to a chest by the Snowfield Stable
3.
In a treasure chest south of the path to the Tingel Island chain on the far east of the map.

There's YouTube videos that can give you better directions.

OOO that's handy. The other items you need are what might keep me from maxxing out before taking on the castle, not because they're particularly hard to get or anything just because of how time consuming it will be to get multiples of all four pieces from all three sources.

Hey guys there is a lost Zora somewhere. I was told she was around Zora River but may have ended up all the way to Lake Hylia. Where in the world is she?

Let me save you the trouble of this shitty quest, because I followed the entire Zora river all the way down to Lake Hylia.

She's in lake Hylia, swimming around the little islands in the middle of the lake. She won't be worth the trip. I promise.

Can someone explain to me why dento won''t make the
zora spear
for me I have the 5 flint and 1 diamond (and have beaten that
Divine Beast
)

Fully upgrade Weapon and Bow slots, have 311 or so Korok Seeds. Hope I'm close to "done" with those.

I have 5 Shrines left, and 4 Shrine Quests I never found. I don't really have anything left to direct me, I think I've been to every region and I don't need to upgrade any more armor to go hunting for materials. Guess it's time to bust out a guide.

Nice! If you want something less specific for the shrines I advice you to use this :)

It shows you the ammount of shrines in each region without revealing their exact position.

That's fair, it seems like there's less honey than diamonds in all of Hyrule.

But for the Electric Rhino Beetles, check around North Akkala. They tend to pop up in chains, so you can grab one and then the sensor will pick out another and another and another. I got 9 in a row, once.

1). The Shrine quest
Secret of the Cedars
... need a hint. Do I have to let the shadows of the trees align or something?

I played around up at those trees because I thought it was a Korok puzzle earlier in the game but I haven't been back there since I unlocked the quest. A decent hint would do me wonders.

2). Do we know how much HP one heart is yet?

EDIT:

Wish you could keep borders up on the world map. Would really help to keep each area segmented on the map for my own shrine/explorations purposes.

You gotta approach it from a different angle.

Can random wild horses have better stats than special horses (like Epona)? I want to try some of the customization, but they won't let me do it to Epona.

Just beat the game with 49.46% completion. So amazing, and really looking forward to the DLC. I actually would love to see this game get lots of future DLC content, and I hope they're substantial.

I was semi joking with my brother about how awesome it would be if you could get a power bracelet item in the DLC or something, and dual-wield two-handed weapons.

I looked at the the DLC in the eshop and indications are August (Cave of Trials, Hard mode) and December (New story, new dungeon).

That wait is gonna be brutal.

Heya Folks,

Quick question; does the game allow you to continue playing the same file after beating the final boss? I don't like that I'm dragging my feet and putting it off because I'm worried about having to start over from square one after the credits roll. I'm trying to avoid spoilers so searching for terms like "ending" or "beat ganon" seems like a bad idea.

Thanks in advance.

The game saves your progress right before the final boss. So yes.

Boy, this sidequest for Manny in Hateno is so not worth it. Spent over 2 hours trying to get crickets for a measly 100 rupees and you don't even get to see the aftermath.

Finding new Kass locations is such a great feeling, especially when you thought you've found them all. It's like running into an old friend.
