Hello all, I haven't played BotW but I have a question. I noted to someone in the current "What does MS need to counter Zelda & Horizon" topic the ways in which, I gather, Breath of the Wild moves the open-world genre forward, and this guy responded. Now, I'm fairly sure he's wrong, but I can't really take the conversation any further as I'm only going by stuff I've read from other people and seen in videos. Can anyone comment? Like, for instance the AI is surprisingly good, is it not - such as the way enemies will try to push boulders on Link or throw explosive barrels at him and suchlike?
This last sentence in particular - this is proper bullshit, right?!
Okay, I haven't played the game but going by all the footage and reviews I've watched this sounds like total bullshit. The game is designed in such a way with all these compelling systems like weather, physics, climbing, AI and a truly freeform world that it feels like a step forward for the open world genre.
Yeah I can guess you haven't played the game. Zelda and AI don't make me laugh and I'm sorry dynamic weather and physics I've seen in a lot of open work games and hey one can climb in Assians Creed.
The Freedom in Zelda is nothing like what one see's in GTA V, Fall Out III, IV, The Witcher 3 and god knows how many other open world games.
This last sentence in particular - this is proper bullshit, right?!
