I really just want a reveal date for this thing. It has been almost a year since they announced it and they have managed to withhold most information. It has to be hard containing all their excitement.

It's interesting that Jez says it will be shown off very soon. Next week would be crazy, without any hype building up to it and everything. I still think an announcement next week and that it will be revealed sometime this month. Sometime in April is what I would consider soon, May is not soon.
If he's playing an April fool's prank his name should be banned forever.

Well half the population have hyped themselves up for a Zen CPU. I sense big disappointment incoming. But who knows, maybe they will drop the bomb.
And yeah, April 1st is hardly a good day to be making these 'announcements'.

Word on the street is that Eurogamer / Digital Foundry have secured exclusive rights to reveal it sooner or later.

I can believe next week since E3 isn't really far away and they might want to focus on games there. I doubt it will announce anything though just show a box and say a few words about it during a MS presentation .
Your previous post was not written well if that is what you were trying to communicate, your previous post made it seem like you think people were stupid for lowering there expectations and assuming it is jaguar.

Well you would hope they would want to concentrate on games at E3, it's supposed to be a gaming platform after all, considering how few new gaming announcements we have had since August 15 from them, I have seen Nintendo and Sony get criticised for more than they have announced.

I think that can be good. Ms could have the press hyping their products a bit more, and this seems a nice way to do it.
The more important is to keep the news flowing, they shut themselves for too long to give info on upcoming games, features and scorpio. Have to work on the hype machine.
It is stupid talking about if Scorpio will disappoint based on the CPU alone and ignoring everything else on the system.

This is interesting.
Not the first time Xbox One Scorpio appears (I believe the first was on the Ms store webpage?).
And, it appears that Xbox now is a gaming brand for Ms on console and windows, with Xbox One being the ongoing brand for the consoles. Makes a lot of sense actually.

At this point it would only make sense to call it that. Plus it sounds great. Not that it will take away anything from the system if it's some lame name but Scorpio just sounds awesome to me. And I doubt people are going to mistake the S console for Scorpio.

This wont be a disaster Event like the Sony PS4 Pro thing IMO.
A seperate Event is better than shoving all the details around Scorpio into the E3 Briefing
There isnt much to tell. And PS4 Pro event is a good example for that.
Its not a whole new console. Its still gonna be in the Xbox One family, some specs we know already and they cant really show alot of games. Because thats E3 for and they said so themself. A Nintendo Direct thing would be alot better.
