Way late on responding here, but

NRS has had some pretty big problems with female characters in the past, but honestly as of MKX and now Injustice 2 they've improved quite a bit with their character designs and outfit designs. They're working on being better and while they're not quiiite there yet it's at least been some good progress. Especially since they've put a lot of focus on making the MK girls have major story roles and a lot of personality, as well as outfits that aren't just like strips of cloth wrapped around their nipples. MKX was solid. Not perfect but solid. Injustice 2 doesn't seem to have any problems other than the typical half-naked superheroine stuff that's been standard for these characters, unfortunately, for decades now.

I haven't seen anyone really voice any problems with Injustice 2 specifically that aren't really just problems with the comic book industry or video game industry as a whole though so I dunno what you ran into. But it's probably just more of that.

Like I said, at least NRS is making an effort to improve their designs. And with this game, you can customize people and give them looks that are less provocative if you want, which is also good.

What's their rationale for arguing I2 is sexist? What happened?

Ever since MKX, NRS has been pretty "woke".

IWhat are they upset about? The sexualization?

They're upset about the lack of female characters in the game, and specifically theres a huge outcry for Vixen.

The only real issue I could see people complaining about is the female to male ratio on the roster.

Which seems to be an NRS thing in general as they seem to favor male characters.

I mean, I understand that you're probably not going to get an even split of gender representation, but it's still very low (even if it's a little ahead of Injustice and MKX).

Here's hoping that the DLC skews very heavily towards women and people of colour, but am not holding my breath based on the wishlists floating around (including my own - I want Plasticman, Gentleman Ghost, The Question and Clayface, for example).

How late did we hear about STAR Labs and Towers for I1 and MKX?

Like a month before release so right around now.

My guess is we gonna see Modes and Joker until end of the month.

Then they gonna hype up Darkseid and show him and other DLC characters with everything else the game has to offer in May before release.


Also really hope one Injustice 2 mode is a RPG like mode like a world tour what games like Soul Calibur and Killer Instinct have. Perfect for the Gear system.

Yeah I have to agree with alot of the complaints. The initial roster is heavily skewed. I wish there were more female characters since DC has some great options available.

It hasn't, actually -- Injustice, MKX, and Injustice 2 all have exactly 1/4 women starting rosters. Injustice and MKX both have 6/24, and Injustice 2 has 7/28.

It's a shame that we won't see her on this game's roster given Boon has stated DLC characters from the first won't be returning, at least as DLC again. You're right that DC is giving her a deservedly huge push that isn't represented in this game. I'd be okay with a playable Batwoman with a Batgirl Premier Skin, as it's not DLC in the traditional sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if they chose not to add the subtitles for those intro dialogues or so. I tweeted Ed boon and ask him if they plan to add the subtitles for that and they haven't got back to me on that matters. I assume that they probably find it too much trouble to do it it so I'm not sure if I want to give them the full cost for not supporting certain fanbases. They should give the answer on the matters for people who depends on the subtitles, like Hard of Hearing or Deaf fans out there.

Same here. At least, I know someone else is going to miss her absence, along with me. Few of my friends absolutely hate my Batgirl so they were glad that she wouldn't come back after I told them about their patterns with DLC characters not coming back as DLC.

The Injustice 2 Mobile Game is available in certain regions for iOS. Australia and Sweden have been confirmed so far, there might be more.
