Strange, they still have both Castlevania limited variants for sale, guess they added hundreds more? They were originally sold out in 15 minutes
I know for Luke Cage they made more and I was able to order one. The good thing about that is everything was the same; no changes to packaging or a different colored vinyl. I also think that people don't know that they added more.
I'm hoping that they add all the three versions to Castlevania tomorrow.

Is this soundtrack good? The few YT links I found (in my 10 seconds of searching) were weird fan versions or seemed to lack some of the audio channels according to the comments.

In other news, I received my copy of Flower from iam8bit yesterday. I know it may incite another dogpile during this Happy Game Vinyl week but I have to vent: I am increasingly disappointed with them.
The package arrived yesterday and from what I can tell it was delivered in great shape (from the outside) When I tore the cardboard seal and opened up the cardboard flaps, I noticed some things I take great issue with. At this point I'm well aware iam8bit adopts the practice of layering the elements separately and shipping their goodies out that way, which I know some other outlets do and is fine to me (and often appreciated) -- in theory. That said, the entire bundle of goods looks, well... used. It doesn't look new AT ALL. The plastic sleeve they provide is all scuffed, corners bent, and it's really foggy for some reason. I would suspect it's like this since it was on the top and since things likely shifted a little during transport. The record itself was in its paper sleeve, likely protected, but the paper is all bent or creased, and there's small rips on the edges. The album art sleeve is also a little dulled and doesn't feel like it was fresh off the press. It really does come off like a second-hand item that's lived elsewhere for years, even though that's obviously not the case.
I know the most important part is how the record sounds, and I'll admit I didn't get time last night to give Flower a proper spin, so I will keep my criticisms in check. Overall, just really fucking let down by the excitement of getting a new record and it looking worse than some used albums I've procured locally in my town. This isn't the first time, either. My copy of Ori and Monument Valley arrived in similar states from them.
Why go through the effort of making custom artwork and packaging if this is the delivered result? Anyone else have this happen? Either with iam8bit or any other shops?

The marbled variant is only being sold through LRG.
I've never ordered anything through them. How short would their supply last? Is it an ACT IMMEDIATELY type of thing when it goes on sale or a little more lax?
They tend to sell out fast. However, I don't know how many copies there are, so it might not be too bad. Hard to say for sure.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense for them to give another site the special thing. I think I'm going to cancel my order and take my chances with LRG.

On the one hand, I fucking love Silent Hill and everything about the presentation of this release is amazing.
On the other hand, there are only like 5 actual melodic tracks and 30+ tracks of scratchy nails and trashcan lids being thrown at walls which I will never listen to ever.
Then again, it's not like I buy these things to actually listen to them so...

I listened to the Silent Hill OST on the treadmill at the gym today to get myself pumped up for this release. Some of those atmospheric tracks turned out to be pretty good running music: very intense and driving.

I'm the opposite, I'm not really fond of the artwork they've made but I love the soundtracks for all the SH games, fucked up noise/ambient stuff included.
Anyone know if Mondo have a UK/Europe distributor who will be stocking the SH set?
Had this exact same thing with a Banner Saga & Psychonauts order (sleeves all scuffed, corners worn but no damage to the outer box they were sent in) - initially they said wait a couple weeks and we will have replacements back in to send you, waited... no word from them for like a month, took way too many emails to finally get them to give me a returns address to send the order back to. Then when they received my return they didn't process the refund, took another 2 weeks for that & even then they had the cheek to not refund the original postage fees, just the item cost. Never again.

Team Silent games changed my life for the better but there's no way I'd pay money to hear the first game's soundtrack, let alone on repeat.
My copy of Undertale was shipped quite similarly to what you described, for what it's worth.

also, I freakin hate colored / variant vinyls. Like I'm just here for the music, but once you offer me a choice of color (like this example, or Snatcher), I get stressed out trying to choose which one I want most.
or in the event of limited colors like Castlevania 3, I get salty when I miss out on the one I want... and even saltier when it gets a reprint weeks later after I've already received my own copy!!!

I wish they announced these things in advance, rather than having to pre order then cancel a week later when they show up on UK stores.
Their last release was put out by Data Discs in the UK but no word so far if this'll be the same.

I just saw that Mondo have a $10 flat-rate international shipping charge until the 16th, so it won't be too bad ordering from them. Might be a good opportunity to grab some other stuff.
Yup. It's cheaper for me to have Mondo ship to Europe than to buy it from another UK/EU outlet this week because of this.

Only risk is customs fees. I had a vinyl come from Ship to Shore that ended up with nearly £20 in fees, though other places I've bought from (namely iam8bit) had none.
