Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| With Or Without EU

If you have a Media Markt close to you: Use the 4 for 2 deal. Bought four games including Yakuza, sold three (the ones I wanted were sold off ). In the end I made a profit of 5 euros and got my Nioh (order via website and pick up in the market so you won't have to pay shipping and have no limit regarding the value of the 4 games). Same worked with Yakuza.

Errr I don't think portuguese MM are holding such a deal.

is that 4 x 2 a permanent thing?? I could give it a try...

EDIT: Also, is this Germany??

Guys ...

Media Markt Germany has a "buy 2, get 2 for free" promotion going right now. Got 8 Nintendo-published 3DS games for 20 EUR each (actually less, as I still had discounted voucher cards).

Online most games are gone, but my local store still had all games I wanted. Now even opted for Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Maker on 3DS.

shit, it's over on Wednesday. gotta hurry there.

also.. isn't this like a fantastic deal??

Last Guardian
Horizon
Resident Evil 7
Final Fantasy XV

are all easily 59.99 in stores.

they are going to cut a whopping 120 euro from the receipt?

WOW.

FYI I'm pretty sure that FF XV has already been available for less than 30 € and TLG is 40€ MRSP after the price cut.

You can still make some great deals though. I got

Yakuza Zero
Horizon Zero Dawn
Zelda BOTW
Hitman 1st Season

for about 134€. That's about 33,50€ per game. I actually wanted either Nier or Ni-Oh instead of Hitman but they were already sold out.

My local MM either marked up the games or they weren't even on the shelves (e.g. Nier). And since the offer is only valid if the 4 games cost 200€ combinded ... yeah I would have had to pick some cheap games which would have made the whole offer moot for me, I was sorely disappointed.

The 200€ restriction doesn't apply online. You can try to buy the games online and they send them to your local MM. This way you don't have to pay for shipping and you can pay for the games with cash when you pick them up in store.

I can't find any game worth a damn for PS4 on their internet site.

no REVII, no Horizon, no Nioh.

very sneaky from them. pretty sure they have plenty of stock in stores, forcing you to go over 200€

I guess I'll just go there and see what happens.

All of these were available when it started. You're just too late

People probably bought a ton of them to flip on ebay

You're just a bit late for that. I got Persona 5 + Mass Effect:A + Nier:A + Horizon in that deal. They had basically everything available when the deal started including RE7 (didn't look for Nioh).

so I went to the media markt and I could have gone throught the hassle of getting 4 games, sell 3 and get one free but I opted not to and took the L home. I could have taken Zelda Switch, Yooka Laylee, Horizon and some other game to sell...but I was very upset that I was late to the whole thing and that I actually didn't want any of the games that much, I want horizon but not so much that I'd waste time selling shit on ebay/amazon.

there were no retail copies of RE7, Nioh, Nier, or anything I'd like to try (say, Bloodborne complete edition) only Horizon. that was massively overshipped.

any ideas when could it happen again?? I need to be prepared next time.

There is no set time as to when these deals happen. They never did a 2+2 before iirc. I bought some games during their 2+1 deals. Didn't buy anything this time, I was too late.

PS:

Playstation VR is 377€, cheapest price ever on amazon.de according to my FF plugin.

Just make it a part of your daily schedule to visit mydealz.de once every evening for a few minutes. You probably won't miss it again and you'll save a lot of money.

thanks for this tip,

is there anyway to look for videogame stuff only? the page seems to cover just about everything in the retail world and looks hard to search for videogames.

EDIT= I searched under "Menü" and then "entertainment". is that the best place looking for the better VG deals? it's mixed with board games and playboy amagzines XD...

the UK page (hukd.com) has a video games category, mydealz unfortunately only has "entertainment"

chillmo.com

Part of mydealz, for videogames. But not sure if they have all the deals from the main site.

Yeah mydealz doesn't have a Games category, it's usually spread across multiple ones like Entertainment, Apps & Software and even Elektronik. I actually brought this up with them before but they didn't care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

konsolenschnaeppchen.de too. Pretty much the same as chillmo but without PC/Steam stuff. Not all of the content of mydealz as it's curated and not user submitted, but 95% is the same I'd say.

Also, people who recently bought a Wii U (for example, to play zelda) I strongly suggest you start checking your stores.

at least in Germany, stores are starting their clearance deals to get rid of all Wii Stuff and have games like Bayonetta 2 and Starfox for 10 EU new/sealed, pretty sure they'll start reducing prices of better games as time goes by til everything's gone.

chillmo.com

konsolenschnaeppchen.de too

ok now wait for that resident evil 7 deal.

yeah, that seems like it

tempting...

but comments about how it's a struggle to get your pet to understand your commands keeps on the fence
I feel that relies almost purely on how good the player is at understanding the mechanics of Last Guardian and, to some extent, how easily they are annoyed/frustrated when something doesn't immediately succeed.

I never had any extraordinarily huge problems at making Trico do what I wanted it to do, nothing even remotely close to it becoming a huge frustration throughout the game. Feels like some people just sucked at the game and had more trouble than others with getting Trico to do something. Or some people just don't care for the slow pace of a game like TLG and every small obstacle even slightly slowed down by having to try to get Trico to do something for half a minute with a couple of fails before they succeed is unbearable.

Does anyone know why all of a sudden there has been a ton of third party sellers around amazon.de with suspiciously cheap prices on recent games?

Like I'm seeing someone selling Persona 5 new for 17€ + shipping which is pretty odd.

Media Markt had a 'buy 2, get 2 games for free' promotion. They are selling what they bought for cheap, I'd assume.

wonderful shit from amazon.fr..
They "delivered" the item to their office in piacenza using amazon logistics..
and now the game is lost somewhere..

great job...
now i have to pay scalper 150 eur for it..

Don't get me started on amazon! Today was the third date revision they gave me for delivery of Persona 5, and I'm still waiting. Never using them for a pre-order again.

it was sort of funny..
first they said "wait"
then they said "it will arrive before eob"
then they said "we will arrange a re-shipment"
then they said "oh but you have received it" (like, lolwut????)
then they said "you will be contacted, we don't know anything"
finally they said "here take this reimbursment"
woooah!
they reimbursed me the cost of the item which is now out of stock everywhere and cost me twice as much!

i'm so pissed I even twitted it at #Amazonfr..

second package from amazon france this year, second delivery lost..

Amazon really down the pan lately. I guess that's what comes with market dominance.

as soon as I read this post I rushed to amazon.de, to see if Resident Evil 7 was cheap

I missed the media markt thing and that's the only game I want to buy and own right now..

lo and behold... a third party seller with 150 feedback entries, 100% positive, new sealed copy, 23.99 euro shipped, bought it immediately.

and yeah it's definitely the MM 2+2 thing, stores were basically ransacked.

(I hope it's not a scam)

EDIT: By the way THANKS A TON for the post, it was a big help.
