We'll see a teaser and that's about it. Probably will be a cg teaser.

I'm hoping for a beta announcement for December though.
 
I see that people still try to convince themselvs that Scorpio will be $499, so they can go crazy when the $399 price is confirmed. Is there a name for this? Artificial expectations? :lol

So it's gonna be $399.99 right? Or do you mean the other way around!
 
MS will be fine this year, they have a huge lineup of games this year.
Show them all running on Scorpio, everyone will want one. Smart move to wait until E3. It's like Nintendo and Zelda last year, everyone will be talking about MS and Scorpio over anything else.
 
I always find it funny when I read comments like this because I guess revealed means something different to me. Officially releasing the full specs was what I considered the reveal, especially since this is an upgraded console versus a traditional generational leap.
 
I was really thinking they'd do a pre-E3 event, but I am still not too surprised it's being unveiled at E3. That is going to be one jam-packed conference!

3rd party games should look the best on that system and 3rd party rules the holidays.

I don't think people are trying to convince themselves of anything. $499 is the price I'm expecting as well, but would love for it to be cheaper

I'm expecting $499 just because I think the total cost to MS will come to a hair above $399, I don't see MS wanting to take a hit on each console sold, and once you're over $400 you might as well go all the way to get the most profit out of it. $449 and $499 aren't all that different to most people.

Eh. Everyone had the same reaction on the 150 dollar controller. Until we realized it was worth it. Same will happen here.
 
So let's say the conference is between 60-90 minutes. Maybe 30 minutes going over scorpio and games for it. leaving an hour for new announcements and minecraft?
 
SO if it's $499.99 base SKU how much is the 2TB Elite edition going to cost? $599, $699?

I just can't see it. $399.99 beginning SKU and build of from there.

No it is not fine this is 2016 tech over clocked. This needs to be 399.99 if they wanted to charge 499.99 it should included a GPU built on Vega with a GDDR5 controller. Sony can easily drop the Pro to 349.99 and make money the Scorpio is not a 150 dollars more to produce. I would guess 50-60 15 for the UHD drive and 30 for the cooling and ram.
 
I'm excited to see this hands on @ E3. It'll probably be the first thing I check out.

The $399 price sounds good. $499 is a bit much.

How much to 4k players run for these days?
 
Can't believe it's been almost a year since first reveal last E3. MS did incredible job keeping people interest for a year, just 6 plus months to go.

This has to be the worst point ever.

Here's a better comparison. They tried this 4 years ago and got spanked.

I hope MS is smarter than some of its fanbase.

This is quite possibly going to be the case, but I still think they need that mic drop moment for it to go over well and to cap off the excitement they are generating. The $399 price point is the sweet spot and people would buy the hell out of it after being built up by the specs and ultimately seeing it in action. $499 is just not going to have anywhere near the same reaction.

No because that is how they can make the money back selling it at 399.99 with a slight loss per unit. This is machine will be bought by those who purchase the most games and accessories it is easily with taking a little loss to gain these customers.
 
I'll be getting those regardless of the price. Although I'd like to see as cheap as possible.

I'm hoping ACreed looks amazing on it.

They are. They want this product to sell in mass market volumes, not only to a "hardcore" fanbase. This is not the Pro. Xbox One failed, if you compare it to PS4 and Microsoft wants to reboot this generation. It will not sell at mass market volumes at a $499 price point.

They got spanked because it was a weaker system and people didn't give a fuck about Kinect. 499 is perfectly fine and expected.
