Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

We can't win with it. We wanted to put it out this week but too many people complained about us adding a game a few days before a sale. If we don't put it up next week there won't be another opportunity for a long time. If we release it alongside DARIUSBURST, many people will pass on it because DBCS is already so expensive. Things are just too crowded in May to try and squeeze another game in.

I might try a poll and see if people prefer it go up with DBCS or by itself and go with whatever result wins. Either way, those are the only two options for it at this point - it's legitimately way too late at this point to introduce it into tomorrow's mix.

That's bummer, I love to buy two vita releases at once.

Tomorrow would have been perfect for me

You can import Xuan-Yuan Sword from Asia with english subtitles if you didn't know.

Never heard of this, is it worth looking into? Are there plans to release this in the west (digitally at least) at all?

Late but RAY GIGANT YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

already gifted (well sort of ) one copy of this. Now I need to make sure I can buy 2 tomorrow.

I can't remember, but was there a chance to look into The Caligula Effect? I feel like it's a hard "no", since it's Sega/Atlus. I still wonder how/why they are only foing it digital, to the point to where they announced a digital deluxe version today.

John Hardin said a flat-out "no" for anything physical for Caligula, Limited Run Games included.

That's what I figured :/ I assume it has to do with some crazy contract/restriction on Japan's side.

From the sounds of it, yep. Real shame, Caligula looks beautiful.

He did say there was a teeny tiny hope for Valkyria Revolution on Vita though!

(Although I'm like the only person looking forward to that game).

Hopefully someone can answer these questions. Because I'm still thinking if I want to buy Ray Gigant tomorrow. The shipping costs are the only thing that keeps me hesitate(I'm from Europe, so that means the shipping costs are higher).

Questions:
- How does Hold Shipment exactly work?
I've read something about that you have to pay $5,50 for every order you want to hold. And if you want to ship those hold orders to your home address, you have to add this item in the cart and pay $15 for the shipping? Is this correct? Or am I misinformed?

- And how long does LRG hold those orders?
Because I'm still waiting when LRG is bringing out Sharin no Kuni and those Senkai Project games which we haven't heard since then. But It looks to me that these games will be released later this year. If LRG for example has a time limit for holding orders like 4 weeks max., then it looks to me that shipping to my home address would be a better option.

- And do you still have to add this item if I want to hold my order? Or should I only use this address?

Sorry for asking all these questions. Don't know if all these questions were already asked before.

- Correct;
- There's no set limit, but they might contact you to get it shipped if things get backed up;
- Only use the address now.

Thanks for answering my questions. So this means I can hold my order till Sharin no Kuni + Senkai Project games are released/available. And I hope we get some news about these games really soon.

This means you can hold your order for as long as LRG can. If they decide they can't hold your order any longer, they'll contact you and that can happen before those games are released.

Just ask a friend, family member or someone else you trust to buy it for you?

Yeah, maybe I'll look into that...would much rather have done it myself though. So far I"ve been lucky every time and I have a feeling that someone else might strike out.

Also the friend I would ask can't help me as he's at work at the time. And my family-in-law is technically inapt, they wouldn't manage to order from LRG. ^^ My family is dead, and my wife is with me on the road that day so she couldn't help me either. But maybe I can think of someone.

Fantastic! I'll get an assistant right away! :-p

Lol.

I mean, if it's really important for you, can't figure out anything else and you're willing to trust a total stranger like myself, I can order it for you if we can figure out some way of doing it that you're comfortable with.

That's awesome of you to offer, thanks! Although your tag does not exactly inspire confidence... :-p

I'll evaluate the situation for a bit and would PM you if necessary. Again, thank you! And it is indeed very important to me. In this very thread I suggested LRG would look at that game a long time ago. How ironic that I shouldn't be able to get a copy now... ^^

I'm guessing many don't want to be trying to add it all to your cart while trying to get Darius checked out. I know I don't.

Never had a problem with it in the past, so maybe that's why I don't mind. Is Nova-111 that popular anyway? I haven't even heard of it before tbh.

Edit: Nevermind, it's just another Curve release. So I'll probably skip that anyway, especially if it's released standalone. :-D

Well, that's mostly for me being a bit too overly optimistic & vocal about FFXV (and forgetting to add "give or take a few months" that I included in other posts about the same subject) and some petty mod giving me the tag (though eventually I was off by only half a year vs. the negative nancies in those threads being wrong in years :P )

Do what you can on your end, let me know if you hit a wall and can't find another way. I'll provide whatever information you want of me if you want to try it out.

Who else is still in the complete LRG run? :P

I am! For games. I couldn't get the Soldner or Rainbow Moon soundtracks.

Mutant Mudds might be the breaking point, though. $100 is just too much to have the whole thing, when Super Challenge is such a misguided expansion/"sequel".

I genuinely wonder how many people played Mutant Mudds and said "I wish this only had super-hard levels!" :p

I would, but look like one of my package is lost..... piss me off right now...
Damn :(

Oh I never went after the soundtracks, only games. Yea, I think I may tap out on Mutant Mudds too. $100 is way too much for that.

Even with it being easy and knowing I likely won't see much enjoyment out of it because of that....I think I'm in for tomorrow for Ray Gigant. Will be the first game I buy directly from them as I ended up going the Ebay route with OWH, which that ended up being so bleeding edge hard for me that it also took much of the enjoyment away lol.

On the topic of Asia region-only games, what about the legitimately great ICEY for PS4?

It's fully localized in English, its Steam version has a 93% positive rating, and it's coming to the NA, EU and JP PS Store later this year. It also has a sterling soundtrack available on Steam that might perhaps be CD-ized.

Why, I can see it now...

This would be a fine acquisition for LRG. I'd be all over it!

You know, I don't know if I'll get any sleep guys. I'm to hyped for this Ray Gigant release.

I'm gonna have to check that one out.

It's quite worth it. Take a look at the game on Steam, or make a Hong Kong PSN account and grab the (fully English localized) PS4 version.

I just went and watched some footage of this. It's painfully gorgeous. Strong endorse for your suggestion.

Woohoo! Yeah, it's really a fantastic game overall, and the PS4 version is solid as a rock. 'Twould kill for a LRG physical release.
