I'm a Video Games Collector and without Limited Run Games there wouldn't exist a lot of physical Video Games!!!

That's why I really don't understand why everyone is complaining about Limited Run Games!!!

Just because you've to wait, like you always wait for a Video Game to Release? Or because you can only order the Video Game in a certain time frame, which is still better than not being able to get a physical edition of a certain Video Game at all?

LRG take subs out of Japanese versions to try and force people to buy their overpriced versions instead.

Yeah, so glad I lost all interest in physical copies PS3/360 era. This company started their shady business with Vita games if I recall.

It's always difficult to estimate how many copies you can sell. Manufacture too much and you're left with stock that's going to be hard to sell for the default price and will just sit in your warehouse.

I think the bigger problem is that the same company is making shitty moves and cutting costs where it shouldn't (like the mentioned 3DO releases).

Remember pre ordering? Open that, then have like just a few units more

Embracer Group owns LRG, so nothing will happen to the Carbon Engine...which is just mostly licensed emulators anyways. Worth pointing out the people that actually were responsible for creating Carbon Engine and working on the bespoke emulators for Carbon Engine left LRG last year and joined Digital Eclipse....which is owned by Atari. Atari purchased NightDive Studios as well, so now they essentially own the keys to emulating most everything from the last century of gaming.

Honestly, if that was true it was peak woke. You can see how crazy it got. You can see the high tide mark before it rolled away. Imagine getting fired from a videogame company for saying you are looking forward to the most popular actual videogame. The craziest woke forums maybe would permaban you for bringing it up, but to get fucking fired from a professional job for an innocuous comment like that, it's insane.
