Fuck it, I'll allow it.

Poor Vegeta. Now to be outclassed by fucking 17, Picolo and Gohan.

I'm really, really not seeing what the problem is. 17 was stronger than a Super Saiyan once, and it's been like ten years since then. Gohan went through puberty, got married, and had a child in this timespan. People have trained offscreen all the time; that's consistent with how the universe works. Like how Krillin was knocked out by one swipe of Raditz's tail, then a year later he's able to blow up a group of Saibamen who are each as strong as Raditz individually.

Plus, this goes a long way to solving the problem where Goku and Vegeta's power levels have been flying so far above that no one else matters.

The only problem that I can see is that Super Saiyan Blue's value is really vague and doesn't really seem to be a level above what they had before. Which was kind of the case even in its initial appearance against Golden Frieza. I don't know why it's suddenly an issue now.

Certain fans have a OCD in regards to power levels, rules and whatnot. Dick measuring contest between characters to chart them and trying to make sense of things. Frankly, it's not an issue to me at least but it's a great way to bring the old Z warriors back to snuff. Goku and Vegeta will always be above the rest anyway..besides goku loves to sandbag.

Fights lately feel like old DB that focus on strategy instead of crazy shit like Z

At this point while i wish they get better better explanations and Blue stop being special, i'm fine with other characters getting the attention since goku kept hogging the spotlight and the show has been fun and enjoyable. I mean it's no JoJo but it's fun

Gohan isn't getting mystic back anytime soon cause Goku's getting that new powerup that looks like his base, can't have that nerd cramping his style before he does it.

Just wanted to hop in here to say I finally got around to playing Fusions. It's really good. There is really no other game like this. It's a weird fighting/RPG hybrid that thrives on characters that wouldn't normally interact interacting with each other. I loved seeing Kid Trunks and Goten meet the Ginyu Force, haha.

I'm thinking of picking it up. Does it have paid DLC or is it updates like Extreme Butoden?

I don't think it has DLC as far as I know. It offered to update to a newer version when I booted it up.

I'll pick up Fusions when I'm done Moon. Don't like having 2 long 3DS games going on at once.

And yeah, Goku's too late with that type of form. I doubt it has anything to do with Goku's base, him getting changes in his hair has been too popular over the years, and it'll cause too much confusion on when he's powered up and when he isn't. I like it with Gohan because it felt like a natural progression of his character. I never got that from Goku. GI ohan just naturally looks better in his base than Goku does anyway.

The thing that fucks up all power scaling logic are those bullshit SSJ multipliers in the guide books. 50x 100x & 400x base are ridiculous & should have been retconned out a long time ago.

Even going back to DBZ that shit makes no sense. That would mean Piccolo's base form was over 50x stronger than every single Saiyan in the Cell Saga. Meaning he went from a power level of 1 Million to around 150 Million in fuckin 3 1/2 years.

But people are freaking out for no reason.

Bergamo = Goku was testing his absorbing power and was ordered not to hold back

Toppo = on his level

Krilin = Didn't do shit to Ssb Goku, kamehameha always allow to clash a little, and Krilin was overwhelmed

Buu = base Goku

17 = without ever training, was stronger than Frieza and the Saiyans, Cell also had to absorb millions of people to get stronger than him, it makes perfect sense that he can be one of the strongest now

Gohan = saiyan hybrid with a family to protect, original goat saiyan

Piccolo = was one of the strongest before getting sidelined for no reason other than "not being a saiyan"

Roshi = silly techniques ( after image, mafuba, hypnosis etc...)

Tien = Toriyama hinted that he wasn't a regular human and that he had great potential, he's the only one needing actual justification to reach new heights since he never was close to Super saiyan level

So really right now only one character was able to match Blue and it's 17, the guy who was designed to be a saiyan destroyer and had more power than all of them at one point. He's not Yamcha tier suddenly getting up there.

They are fine. They were even semi confirmed in Super.

Piccolo did get that big of increase since he trained with a Super Saiyan.

I don't mind Boogie Back.

It doesn't fit Dragon Ball crazy well but it's inoffensive and catchy.

The worst to this day is the chinese one(the one that started with Chinese rather). Was disgusting.

QFT

Folks need to calm down a bit. This is Dragon Ball. This ssries has always been about ridiculous powerups. Loosen up and try to enjoy the possibilities this brings us. 😎

Im not one to pretend this shit can all be rationalized, because ive been watching dbz since i was a little kid, but even 17 didnt really match SSB. Goku was holding back, even though apparently 17 was too. Really all he did that was "keeping up" was use a techbique that specifically shielded him against the Kamehameha, which is not hard to believe 17 would be able to do. But yeah theres really no point in trying to explain things, especially piccolo.

Its the tournament of power, they dont have to be as strong as goku, theyve made this pretty clear several times. I agree I dont get why people are suddenly freaking out now, when theyre actually trying to provide explanations for all of it along the way. Its a tactical thing, and goku is holding back/testing them

Super's rating for last week dropped to 5.0% (episode 86). Episode 85, for comparison was at 5.9. That said, One Piece saw a drop last week too so...

I wonder if Kodai Watanabe will come to work on Super once Tiger Mask W is done. He did the fighting cut in the first opening, as well as some nice action in the ROF film, and has done some great work in Tiger Mask W.

I would love to see him back on Super.
I hope so, he worked on the previous ending.
There's a whole lot of talent on Tiger Mask I'd love to see come over after it's done in July, some of which actually used to be part of Super's staff.

Not just One Piece, everything saw a drop, Super's was actually pretty small compared to most of them. Was there some event going on this past weekend or something?

I try to go with the flow, but I have to admit the 28 planets thing, park ranger 17 being equal or greater than blue, and power ups for everybody just to justify an all earth team along with the canonization of broly in some form is rustling my britches and the main reason why creators should not listen to the fans.

I can't get over 17 matching SSB. Like, what?

I want to see other characters able to keep up with the Saiyans but at least make it sound feasible.

Has this been confirmed as a new power up? Or is it all based on the fact its just in the opening and closing.

It's really bullshit but whatever
Ssj3 goku couldn't land a hit on beerus, so 17>>>>>goku >> buu ?

What ever

17, without ever training, was stronger than all of them. Trunks and Cell time traveled, changing the course of history.

Recently, we've seen that Frieza was able to match SSB easily. Frieza was a lot weaker than 17. 17 has been off the show and training on his own for 13 years.

What makes you think he can't get up there ?

I mean, he was already stronger than Frieza and the regular Super Saiyans. Without training. Why is it impossible that he can match Golden Frieza and SSB ?
