Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

Is there any way to get physical PS2 classics with sonys Approval for limited runs that'd be something I'd be interested in, even some limited editions would be lovely

Theoretically possible I suppose, but seeing how LRG wouldn't even be able to get Sony-published games at the best of times, this seems like a pipe dream of the highest order.

Haha, I'd like at least Ayesha, just to complete that trilogy physically. Armand trilogy would be great too, even as $50 single releases, but who knows if it will happen.

Even a single Atelier release would make me so happy, but realistically I'm going to be greedy and say I want everything (all of Arland + Ayesha. And Sophie/Firis if they were possible).

If I had to take just one, I suppose Ayesha to complete the physical collection makes the most sense, but Meruru is my favourite Atelier game...

I follow them already which is how I saw it but there's too much noise in their feed that I miss information from time to time. It's a good reminder on the day of regular releases but they retweet so many things and talk about live streaming of games that I miss the first couple of times they did it. I was hoping there was just some places that maintained a master list or even LRG have a list on their site to make it easier to find out all the different Kickstarter campaigns. Just kind of like how I can go to their site and see all the current upcoming releases.

I agree they need a simple sure-fire place to follow the Kickstarter releases. Right now it's confusing trying to catch it on Twitter and here, or their news/forums.

Hah, so 50% voted for 21st, 50% for 28th. What's it gonna be? Either way people will be upset. :-D

Why would anyone have an issue with selling them together on the 28th? Yes, it's a big cost to pay say $125 at once but you won't be poorer from it since otherwise you would have paid $25 of it a week before. International shipping on the other hand is a high cost that will hit people if they aren't sold together.

There is a tangible advantage for many LRG consumers to sell them on the same day. There is a non-existent, only psychological advantage to sell them on different days.

It's nothing but selfish to vote for separate days because it has no advantage for anyone.

Thank you.

I agree that I don't see the point in a different day. But don't they have a hold service to help with that?

I'm nearby, so I'm not going to worry about the hold service if it still exists (so maybe that's on me). But I'm not sure what the advantage really is for two different days a week apart.

Edit: Oh right, worry about adding everything to cart quickly enough. That makes sense.

A little reading of comments would tell you it's a concern of time. If you value money over time or stress, your assessment would be valid. Unfortunately? Not everyone values the same things the same way and everyone thinks a little differently. It's ok though, that's apparently a common problem on gaf. Its easier to assume half of people are wrong if they don't agree.

Due to our poll on Twitter ending in a 50/50 tie, we decided to compromise!

Nova-111 will be on sale April 28th along with Dariusburst CS, however, Nova-111 will go live a few minutes before Dariusburst! The reason for that is so you can add Nova-111 to your cart before the Dariusburst frenzy starts.

We are also changing the limits to 1 per customer for everything on sale that day!

See you on the 28th and thank you for all your support!

What if Nova-111 sells out even before Darius goes on sale? ;-)

I will take my chances and just wait. I'm not very keen on Nova-111 but don't mind adding it to my Darius order without extra shipping.

It would give some credence to those claiming it should have been on a different date?

I think they've now said that it will only be on sale around 1-2 minutes before Darius Burst, so it should probably be safe. It's also not a very big release and most of the Curve games have lasted for several hours I think.

Yeah, I still think it's the best they could do. A compromise isn't supposed to be a perfect solution for anyone, but a solution that tries to give everyone some of what they wanted. That's why I said nicely done. I like how they try to work things out.

Real talk, Wonder Boy looks freaking great ...when the LRG release date...

I was watching the trailer and I was thinking the same thing.

I'm gonna crack and buy it this week on Switch probably, but if LRG releases it I'll double dip digital for sure. This also could be a pretty sweet first game to release on Switch, LRG! :)

Legend of Dark Witch is finally coming out on Vita in the west and I want you to make a physical release happen asap

I LOVE this game to bits

Rumors says there might be a soundtrack with Risk of Rain tomorrow. It better be true, its one of the best soundtracks I could think of for an indie game like this.

I would buy them both individually, I don't care. Since it's a lot of extra work to put both on one cart I don't think it's realistic anyway. The game's good enough to deserve a release alone.

Stealth Inc or Curses and Chaos aren't much more "substantial" imo

EDIT: This is RE Dark Witch

Yup. One of the few gaming soundtracks I'd like outside of the game.

Uhh... what? Risk of Rain is tomorrow? Since when!?

Been checking the website every day for a while and it still hasn't updated with what day it releases. And wasn't LRG's suggestion about Nova-111 either "release on 21st on its own or 28th with Dariusburst" (meaning RoR isn't until May at the earliest?)

edit: Unless I'm mis-understanding "there might be a soundtrack with Risk of Rain tomorrow", lol.

Btw, what I came here to say:

LRG have really done a fantastic job of cornering the Vita collector's market. I mean, they sell out every Vita game they produce normally within a day; normally 2500+ copies.

Compare that to like Fangamer, who took months to shift Shovel Knight... or Play-Asia who still have copies of Soldner X-2... or Signature Edition who just managed to get about 1000 pre-orders of Slain!

They're doing pretty damn well comparatively.

You know that is not a fair comparison.
