This. To Bulma, that's like the change under the couch cushions. I mean they have a wildlife preserve at capsule corp. already.
I don't think 45 billions is trivial even for Bulma.
Plus that'd be a lot of work to make it and allow a good environment for wildlife within it (if as I suggested it's what he wants).

Maybe it'll end up with 17 not getting the wish for the usual reasons and Goku asking her to do it by way of apology.
building an ark is silly given he could just give the dragon a list of species to resurrect and repopulate and be done with it

He is far away from his family, it seems logical to me that he'd like something that could fit his lifestyle better and keep them around too, while protecting the species. (even if they're not "endangered" anymore, that doesn't mean they'd be left free by poachers)

it is obvious he appreciates the island being a natural sanctuary for the animals; taking out the animals from their natural habitat and just stuffing them in a boat so he can travel through the world is...weirdly cruel?

First of all, stop saying 17 is evil when you have virtually nothing to back it up and we just saw him literally sacrifice himself selflessly.
I don't see what a Zoo would change ?
Doesn't stop poachers from entering the Zoo eventually.
Plus the Minotaurus is not his only job, so that only solves one problem (and whether it solves it it actually debatable).
And there is nothing cruel if the animals live in a nice setting and are fed, not hunted down and live in tranquility (unlike a Zoo, they won't be bothered by thousands of humans), while being permanently protected by 17, who can enjoy not being stuck in one place forever and has the company of his family. We're talking a gigantic 5 billions cruiser here, not some canoe, that should more than big enough to allow to replicate a natural habitat.
Who says Bulma and Satan would make it though ? 17 said he wasn't interested in the money, that implies what he actually wants is beyond what can be afforded normally.
Plus, even if they can, why would they do it ? It would have to be a colossal amount of money even for them. (we're talking billions)
17 would probably not want to ask people he doesn't know such a favor, or even assume anybody would agree to grant him all that money. Why would they ?
Goku on the other hand has no reason to mention it since 17 had agreed to participate already.
As I said, it seems 17 is under the impression that they can all wish for something since he asked Goku what he'd wish for. It would be dumb to assume 17 thought only he would get the wish when it's a team work.

It'd be nice to see what came from that. I'd like to see a U6 Namekian in their team.
I don't think they were in it properly (as in the specific attributes of them aren't canon), but I think it was still mentioned that the manga that the Saiyans stole Planet Vegeta from them.
Every episode is an Android 17 episode from now on. It's the Goku and Android 17 Show.
It's just funny that his wish is something that normal Dragonballs can be used on just like Zamasu's wish for immortality. At least the Super Dragon Balls changed the entire civilization of the restored earth in U6 so it seemed like something only they can do.

I feel the Zamasu immortality may not have worked as well with regular ass dragon balls
besides, given it was the super dragon balls and that they destroyed them afterwards, the immortality could not be undone with another wish

This kind of bugged me. How did the animals survive after the the oxygen got let out of the ship? Were they all still in pods at that point? At the very least, his crew should've suffocated (I know some species in Z can breathe in space, but...). Goku and 17 seemed to be gone for a decent amount of time on King Kai's planet.
