Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

How long did the story mode take you, Hellshingu?

Around 5ish hours.

Can you see the skins (locked) in the shader menu for each character from the beginning?

And by 6k, you mean the standard currency/credits you get from playing the game in general?

Yes you can see them all. Not sure if there are hidden ones though.

I got about 4k of the crystals needed for beating story mode.

Wait, you can unlock Reverse Flash, Power Girl and John Stewart in the base game?

Yeap for 6k source crystals. Others are 4k as said in here before.

I'm a big Joker fan... how is he in the story? Does he have cool moments? Do they do him justice?

Scarecrow uses fear toxin on Harley and she has to fight The Joker who is only there because of the fear toxin. That is it.

I didn't notice any aliasing issues like those during my playthrough. Looks pretty good overall. Some cutscenes had some questionable quality but other than that it is fine. Faces look good for the most part, especially Brainiacs. I am using a 1080p screen with a PS4 Pro.

Oof.
Since when is reed richards in injustice with that reach?

Nice, I am very much looking forward to doing the story but it looks like I'll hop into the mp much quicker than I thought once complete. Cool.

I probably could have done it in 4 hours or so if I was familiar with how most of the cast played and I was taking care of my daughter too so the game was on but I wasn't actively playing.

Oh fuck no, Lex should be in this game.

Yeah they really just shoehorned it in there for no real reason.

Story was meh overall for me but I don't touch story modes in any fighting game that doesn't require it for character unlocks.

So was that one guy lying about a Red Arrow premier skin?
Considering that this latest leaker's screenshot doesn't have the John Stewart alt, I'm gonna say I'm unsure. There's clearly some shaders that aren't even showing up on the base game, plus I think that we'll get more premiere skins down the line anyway.

It's kind of shocking that
Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman don't have Premier skins
I thought for sure that would be the case.

Did you take a look at any of the online options?

If so, could you give a detailed description of everything involving the online modes.
With out having to actually try and play them.

Its just kinda sad to me that Flash gets two premiere skins and we're left wondering when we'll get some of the obvious skins for characters

Skins are a curse in disguise anyway.

Most the fun will come from creating your own costumes for your heroes, and picking the right colors that go with them etc...

That's entirely gone with the skins.

They're a nice bonus, but I think people are putting far too much importance into them.

They shoulda made a random button into Clayface, and had it function exactly like a random button, just with a new intro and victory animations where he morphs into and out of the random character.

Or retcon the entire game that it's all just Clayface and his is an alternate reality where Superman detonated a bomb that killed everyone but Clayface, and so he went insane and just re-populated the entire world himself.

Game needs more Batman.

This makes a lot of sense. The games DOES need more Batman.

Pretty much.
People were pissed off at the shaders and skins at first. Now, some literally want skins and shaders for all characters.

This are just some bonus for some characters, not meant to be something more.

On a game already with as much content, the other option would be no skins.

There's definitely shaders you have to unlock for them to even appear, since those screens from yesterday had no alt colors. So I'm thinking there might be some hidden skins? Or I'm losing it in hopes of Tim Drake? Who knows

That is what I was thinking. I was hoping to get something for beating story mode but there was no unlock besides Brainiac.

Do we know how the premier skins are unlocked yet?

Source Crystals and $$$.

Considering how dumb some of the unlocks for skins in MKX are, I wouldn't be surprised.

They cost 6000 each in-game currency.

Source Crystals, not Credits i think.
Yup, it's Source Crystals.

Also it's 6000 for the ones that come with the Deluxe/Ultimate Edition but 4k for the "regular" ones like Freeze and those other two that got spoiled.
That's the only way?
They'll most likely be part of the pack that includes the 3 DLC characters.
But as it stands, yes it seems to be the only way. You can earn source crystals in-game but it's much more of a grind as compared to credits. Hellshingu said he got around 4k just for completing the story mode.
