Nintendo E3 plans detailed

Fire Emblem for Switch is one of the games I looking forward to see. Also Skyrim. From the games were already announced.

And I hope that we have great surprises. Positives ones.

Virtual Console is the big thing for me. Mario is coming and knowing that is enough for me. But there are big questions about how Virtual Console will work on this system, with a paid service I'm hoping it's more robust and modern than previous offerings, but, being Nintendo I know better than to get my hopes up...

This Nintendo Spotlight I'm starting to think is going to show a lot of Switch games. Especially, with ARMS coming soon they won't focus much on it and same with Splatoon 2. They'll probably get smaller segments with newer future games getting the bigger headline.

I like the Treehouse, usually go back and watch whatever parts I missed live thanks to the magic of Youtube. Just refeshing to see real, actual games in play instead of some CGI trailer that shows you nothing of what the actual gameplay is. Also speaks to a level of confidence in the product itself.

I also like the directs, it's more condensed and less mistake proof then a live show. You don't have all those awkward pauses where a 23rd stage presenter pitches their game. You don't get awkward messaging when someone flubs their line or their live demo is broken. Yeah, thats sometimes part of the fun, but it can also kill the momentum of a show. Directs are mostly game after game after game, which is great.

As for the actual show, I hope they show a bit more then just 2017. At least first half 2018. It seems like most of their stuff has been leaked to death already, so not really sure what they could really surprise us with....other then Retro's project, or maybe something with Platinum like Bayonetta 3? It sort of makes their stance on not showing stuff way far out kinda silly when it just leaks anyways.

They really need to take a few minutes and cram in the OS stuff, Netflix, other apps, online details, virtual console. Stuff that really should have been at launch but we've been patient.

Other than the big names I want to see improvements that should've been on Switch, like improved eShop, cloud saving, and classic games. I doubt we'll see all of them at E3 though.

How likely is it they will announce the date for VC? Having DKC and SMW would be a dream come true with the Switch. Crazy how long it's taking.

I'm ready to see what those eyes are on Marios hat.

Maybe it's a rabbit. This game is going to be so amazing. In the trailer Mario looked to he fighting that mechanical centipede thing on the tower in New Donk City. I want to see how much "story" is in the game.

Holy shit, the textures in that render are detailed af.

Yeah, we've never seen Mario so detailed. That was one of the first things I noticed when they revealed Mario Odyssey. He jumped out of the sewer and I was like look at his clothes! Also, Mario is VERY expressive. I really like that.

I wonder if we'll be able to go underground into the sewer...hmm

Just finished my Nintendo E3 Predictions video. Let me know what you guys think.

Also, I haven't been following any of the rumors super closely, so some of this stuff might have already been "confirmed" or "deconfirmed".

I definitely think we'll see some 2018 titles at E3, even if the focus is on 2017 (Mario and Splatoon, to be exact!)

I'll watch this tomorrow.

Aaaand... Project Octopath Traveler.
Just to say the game exists

Also I think somr people are underestimating Mario Odyssey which is weird considering the hype around it. It's going to be big.

Eh.. Arms and Splatoon 2 coming out soon after E3 is the reason why both going to be the highlight of the event, not the other way around.

There's no reason to believe they won't push ARMS the hardest when it'll release immediately after E3.

All I care about is the Super NES Mini announcement.

I don't see any chance a SNES Mini gets announced. They didn't announce the NES Mini last year at E3. The Nintendo Spotlight should be on Switch and not another product. They can announce a SNES Mini in a Direct or just put up a random trailer on Youtube.

I think that the only FE they will show is the Warriors one
And maaaan if I am looking good forward for it

Wait, does their announcement mean we won't see any games that aren't releasing in 2017? Does that leave any hope for a Retro announcement?

"Focus" is the key word my man. They can/most likely will show some games that are slated for 2018 as they've used that term before.

ARMS and Splatoon 2 are both probably best publicised with the tournaments, they will get their own time. Hand-on impressions are what is going to make it for these games. They aren't going to need that much time at the spotlight. It'll be centred around Mario and I can see Nintendo not wanting to take attention away from that with stuff that you can't touch for another year or two. I wouldn't be surprised if the smaller new games just 'appear' later on at the Treehouse.

I want to hear more announcements for some local co-op games for the Switch.

I think this is a most likely reveal for E3. The current 1st party release schedule for 2017 lacks local multiplayer games. It even lacks a family-oriented game for the Holiday season.

Your video was good. I don't personally think they show a trailer for Fire Emblem Switch yet, I think the focus will be on FE Warriors and they won't want to confuse the message.

The other is smash Melee HD, I'm not sure that gets announced either. I personally think MK8, Smash bros deluxe will be the only versions we get on Switch. Nintendo will turn these titles into games as services.

But you may be right. I actually think they will give some focus to Switch third party. Who knows though. I agree with you on Pokemon.

Nothing about the game's development leads me to believe it will be delayed. Ah well, we're just going to have to wait. People will never stop saying this until it gets released here I guess.

This! It's a ridiculous notion only because Xenoblade X was delayed from 2014 to 2015. Xenoblade was delivered as initially promised. It's fine to express doubt, but it gets old really fast when many people use hyperbolic statements. You can never be sure that it'll be delayed to 2018 or even 2019. You (not you specifically, just in general) also have no idea when development began.

So I have a feeling the Spotlight will be a bit less wacky than previous Digital Events (like with Robot Chicken and Muppets) but if they were to do something ridiculous:

They should really hire Chris Tucker to do his Fifth Element character and reenact that gif. If they have the types of games for that, that might be the greatest thing they could ever do at E3.

That or Rick and Morty. Where they portal to every different game on the list or something.

But it's totally gonna be a bit more professional than that isn't it... Sigh...

I'd just like to say that everyone here should watch SHIELD Season 4. If Marvel & ABC handle it like Season 3, it'll probably be on Netflix after the season finale airs this coming Tuesday.

That said, I'm not sure about what Retro's making. It could be anything at this point.

Lots of "Lets switch to this" is gonna happen, that's for sure. Should have put it on my Bingo card for an easy point.

Out of everything that was analysed at the Switch presentation, I rather liked the approach Nintendo took with introducing third-party devs/publishers/individuals. None of the build-up or bravado, just: "a wild Suda51 appears". It's a nice way of catching viewers off-guard or surprising them with a new thing.

Yeah, not having each and every developer slowly walk on stage whilst Imagine Dragons plays in the background was a breath of fresh air. Just a shame that when they did appear they either didn't have much charisma or had so much charisma that the translators couldn't keep up (looking at you, Suda).
