Perhaps. Or it may be that they didn't think it was sufficiently mature to adopt, vividly remembering how painful it was to be an early Blu-ray player.

Hence the only thing they have in market is an overpriced UHD player.

Given that they have one of the more aggressively priced players, i find that statement rather odd. I've been very tempted to pick up a UBP-X800 several times now, in part because it's also an SACD player as well so I could retire a PS3 that has been set up solely for that purpose.

A dev from ND tweeted recently that around 90% of the studio is working on The Lost Legacy, and that'll likely be the case until at least some time in July. So, the TLoUPII team is going to be pretty light right now. It may not be an impossibility that we'll see gameplay, but I definitely wouldn't expect it.
