NYT: Comey Memo Says Trump Asked Him to End Flynn Investigation

The Trump campaign has an official sound to it. Is this confirmed or is it just bullshit your repeating based on a Twitter post but is actually a chain letter from an unafiliated party?
Trump is already campaigning for 2020. He officially filed the papers on the day of inauguration. He even already has a campaign slogan, Keep America Great

This shit is literally unbelievable :lol

It was obvious this admin was gonna be a shitshow but this is just too much.

Graham invites Comey to testify before Senate panel

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has invited former FBI Director James Comey to testify publicly at a Senate hearing, the South Carolina Republican said Tuesday.

....

“I’ve asked Comey to come before the Judiciary Committee to tell his side of the story," Graham told reporters. “I think it would be good for him if he did. It would be good for the country.”

Oh hell yeah, now we can get to the bottom of masking and EO support

Grounds for a civil war has been laid for a good while

Well, in a way, yes. I meant more in the language inciting these kind of feelings coming from an official source, such as the President's official organizaiton.

I've never heard an official party imply such things in such a way, though. It's usually fringe-level nonsense saved for the likes of the weird parts of the Internet...It's one thing for some nut job to spout it (with or withotu a tin foil hat) - it's quite another thing to hear this kind of rhetoric from the President's official newsletters.

"for fucks sake, I have to make another statement!?"

Good, it was Comey that specifically wanted to testify publicly, right?
According to something posted earlier, yeah. Graham probably knew it was gonna happen with or without his worthless invite so may as well act as though he's for transparency and getting to the bottom of the matter.

New page, new reposts.

Yup, just saw this. Oh boy, I hope this is indeed the beginning of the end.

This is all so surreal. I can't believe I'm living through something so completely insane. I only hope it actually happens and Comey brings the goods. I'm not even remotely kidding when I saw witnessing Trump being brought to justice would be one of the happiest moments of my life thus far. Fucking drinks on me.

I'd split the bill with you. If such a glorious thing were to happen there'd need to be a party of equivalent significance.

I know it isn't good to be hasty, but looking forward to the Comey testimony.

Ready to hear about emails

Seriously tho...Repulicans find whatever goods left in your dark heart and boot this guy out of office.

There would be so much damage done to the party that I seriously doubt he'd be able to get anything done.

What Pence breaks, his successor may be able to fix. Not so with Trump.

I'd pretty much kill for George W. Bush at this point. That's how low we have fallen.

All right, let's do this.

Not that there's already much of a chance, but it would be literally a zero percent chance of congress impeaching Trump if it didn't leave a Republican in power.

I don't think Republican presidents even help them much anymore. Clearly they were much better at being in perpetual opposition

I can't believe this is real life. We literally will have to explain to our grandchildren someday how the US allowed this fucker to get into office.

No we won't. 3 sentences.

"America was built on black slavery.

America elected a black President.

America went apeshit."

Pelosi statement

I agree with the Harvard guy on CNN from yesterday.

Democrats need to put the greater Russia/Trump stuff aside and drill down more into this issue and the Comey thing specifically.

If you make it about the whole wide reach of Russia again, these meaningful and corroborated details could get lost as the opposition focuses on tearing down the other parts of your story.

I know. Im asking if that was official or made up bullshit to make him look worse. Was it really from the Trump campaign? All that's there is a Twitter post. Is the guy that made the Twitter post a journalist or trusted individual?

@rachaelmbade

I just asked @DarrellIssa abt the Comey news and he flicked me off -- literally gave me the middle finger -- and kept walking. Said nothing

WH is all FAKE NEWS

The White House is denying a New York Times report that President Donald Trump asked former FBI Director James Comey — who he fired last week — to shut down the investigation into the administration's former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

The Times cites a memo that Comey wrote after his meeting with the president a day after Flynn resigned following revelations that, contrary to his initial statements, he had discussed Russian sanctions with the country's Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on a phone call in December of 2016.

But a White House official denied the report. “While the president has repeatedly expressed his view that General Flynn is a decent man who served and protected our country, the president has never asked Mr. Comey or anyone else to end any investigation, including any investigation involving General Flynn. The president has the utmost respect for our law enforcement agencies, and all investigations. This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the president and Mr. Comey,” the official told TIME.

Dubya was poorly spoken and caused wars that the world didn't need, but he was never as venemously stupid or corrupt or as hateful as 45.

That's a non-American's view.

Russia plays into this. His possible improper dealings with them in the campaign serves as a foundation for how he's acted so far with them. Like leaking critical intel without permission from an ally.

It all relates to each other.

Could you imagine how bad this will look when the whole memo actually comes out?
