If the GOP loses seats in 2018, and then more seats and the presidency in 2020, these donors won't be able to lobby for their interests and kickbacks from the government. Both of those things will happen if this toxic shithead remains in office dragging the GOP down with him. They want Pence in charge, and for things to settle the fuck down before the midterms.

I am really starting to believe some of the conspiracy theories are right. A lot of the GOP is complicit in the Russia scandal. It's the only thing that makes sense.

AIPAC and likely law enforcement Unions, huge donor group to current GOP candidates and he completely pissed all over both of their agenda's this past week. When you add in the complacency of Republicans and how they aren't getting legislation passed they likely donated to them for because of the chaos they probably have a right to be upset.

They put their money into the republican party in order to make the republicans win more control of government. Now trump is making the republicans look bad for his own sake/his friends/his own incompetency, take your pick of one or more reasons. This is effectively making the republicans require more money in the future and losing the control they already had and the donors spent money on.
It is the equivalent of your favorite sports team getting a new coach who screws everything up that may take years to recover. I know politics is more important than sports but it is the same mentality of becoming invested in something.

As far as we know no one in the press has seen the memo yet. So I doubt it'll leak any time soon. But we'll know if the memo is real and if it says what these reports claim.
