NYT: Comey Memo Says Trump Asked Him to End Flynn Investigation

That's how most Ace Attorney villains are at the start of a case

Yeah well it won't be a video game lol. Just saying, Trump has been in and out of court rooms his whole life, that's actually one area he has a grasp of what to do, so we probably wouldn't see any kind of mental breakdowns if this ever gets this far.

I'm counting somewhere around 95 scandals/controversies since inauguration. Not counting general "Trump went golfing" or "I disagree with this policy". I mean strictly a) some wingnut claim that needs to be walked back; b) a personnel withdrawal or scandal; c) legal challenges; d) major optics stories.

Well oiled machine.

Smooth sailing.

So one every 30 hours or so?

I could post "tick tick tick tick tick" on my twitter timeline at any point and expect to have a decent chance to hit one.

Jason Miller doesn't understand why Comey didn't produce the memo at the time it happened.

Probably because Comey didn't think he would get fired so soon. Plus, Phil Mudd said almost all of the people he knew in IC and when he went to the White House kept similar memos.

Why does CNN keep having Jason Miller on TV?

True then, true now:

They'll need that radicalized base to keep them in power (by force, if necessary) when the majority tries to take it back.

Just remember, with each revelation and day, the odds are rising against them, and if it think it is a "fight" that must occur, it will end two ways: Them surrendering and retreating back to the shadows and cracks where they came from, or them being chopped down, crushed and buried. Either way is fine by me.

No one should have been assuming a result now or before now, imo.

It was yelling in an office with Trump in it near press. There have been leaks of trump aides saying the man is insane before as well.

Not saying what he's saying is 100% true, but rather that there's more than enough precedent to make this not a leap of faith to believe.

I'd say the firing of Comey is the beginning of the end of this. The end could still take many months though.

Unless someone mentions his hands, his inauguration crowd or how he lost the popular vote. Then I can see him crack, or at least have a very big breakdown on twitter afterwards.

Ugh. Can someone do me a solid and repost the blurb of McCain losing his mind at a reporter because McCain didn't like be called out for being a faux-maverick?

Yup. Comey was staying in as long as he could to keep the department running and doing its job.
