Dipshit really didn't understand that everyone in Washington was being nice and ignoring 99% of the shit he was stirring for the sake of maintaining the polite fiction that DC isn't a festering cesspool of corruption bubbling up from every corner. Didn't realize that the only "immunity" he had was a completely informal understanding between senior statesmen not to go for each others' throats.

You don't shit on the CIA.

You don't fire the head of the FBI out of hand.

You don't go to war with the media.

You don't threaten the gravy train of senior party politicians.

Even Obama had to play by these rules, and he was an actual reformer, rather than an arrogant blowhard. These may as well be the actual oaths of office; you can't possibly hope to remain President for long if you're breaking them.
 
How can they run with the idea that the leakers are the problem? It's tacitly admitting what they say is true. I get that there's no much they can do since it's only a matter of time till Trump admits it's true in some idiotic tweet rant but it's still self defeating.

What else are they supposed to do? Admit they are wrong and their party helped elect a Russian pawn?

That official said the Obama administration also worried that Trump advisers may have been making copies of classified information, but it's unclear whether the outgoing officials were able to verify those concerns.

I hope they would call it out for what it is but I expected that they would meekly condemn acknowledge it without saying anything definitive, just like they did leading up the election.
 
I hope this entire ordeal wakes some people up. Being the president of the Unites States is not a fucking joke. People stormed beaches and ran underground railroads for our future and THIS is the timeline we give them.
