He can also claim he winked at key moments and/or had his fingers crossed behind his back.
 
Is it reported that the memo being talked about now was actually the first? If not you can bet there's one from that dinner in late January.

If there are recordings, I hope there is a brave WH staffer able to get their hands on them and leak them unedited to the press. Audio or video, that's really what we need, I feel, to make things so damaging to the GOP that they have no choice at all but to begin the impeachment process.
 
I believe D.C. doesn't want to see a protracted process that gives time for mobilization of his lunatics in protest.

The ideal result is if he falls to pieces in front of his base and his mistakes are visible, and his body guard and ivanka soothe him and tell him resignation is the only option. Have to think The FBI did not leak this letter without also game planning all the followup moves. Resignation is the aim, they didn't start this process without being very sure it was achievable.

This is just delicious. I'm picturing Trump right now hyperventilating, red in the face. You know he never anticipated this, because he always thinks he's the smartest man in the room. When literally any other person would assume the leader of the FBI probably keeps immaculate notes on what goes on.

Trump is like the guy on the freeway who target fixates on the car crash and ends up steering straight into it. Nixon is deep in his head. He is unconsciously following his political heroes moves. At many key steps he asks himself, what would Nixon do here? And he does it.

I mean if you ever got him into a courtroom that'd be the end of him. He can hardly speak coherently and being questioned would lead to him just have a mental breakdown probably 5 minutes in. He'd contradict himself every 5 minutes and yell/insult probably the entire prosecution and courthouse. I know his lawyers would tell him to stay quiet, but there's no way he'd ever do that. In fact, I'm sure this dumb motherfucker would try to reach a settlement in his own fucking impeachment trial. I imagine that would turn most Republicans that have at least some shred of decency left in them. There's no hope in convincing any of his base, they think he's the literal second coming of christ and everything he says in the present day is gospel even if it directly contradicts what he said just days or hours earlier.

I believe in 2007 one of the most embarrassing moments in Trump's life happened where he was forced to answer questions under oath from three lawyers. If I recall he was recorded having lied 30 times in 3 minutes under oath.

I'm actually fearful for Comey. You never knew what people will do to shut others up. Comey is a target for that now.

This has got to be one of the most surreal administrations i've ever seen. It's like they went though the list of things not to do as president, and decided to do them all as fast as possible.

I'm wondering if they will cancel the trip. Can you imagine Trump ranting and raving to everyone? On second thought, they should let him go since he will probably shoot his mouth off and implicate himself again.
